A slice of Life is F*** hard

This is less of a romance and more of a slice of life, the people we meet, the people we love, the pain of loss over and over and over and over again...

Numbing it all with smiles, alcohol , dance and jokes... Lauging away the pain.

In 8 short. episodes we get to see a whole range of emotions and relationships getting knocked down, getting up again just to get knocked down or doing the knocking down as it is easier than facing some truths.

The cinematography is great, the acting spot on and dialog is top, top. I am not an expert but something tells me that nothing was left for chance. As there is not a single shot, prop or angle that was there as a filler.

This drama is definitely a feel things rather than a feel good type of drama , A meaningful story that sticks out and is sure to be remembered by those who view it.

Sweet and DarK

This was an easy watch, mostly sweet with a bunch of rays of darkness as death keeps hanging in the ait in this life turned in to a game where the protagonist gets an insight to the other peoples feeling about them...

The story is okay it has some odd parts, some interesting parts, some that have you thinking... some parts are under developed and come to an end a bit to fast. While one of our male leads is sugar, spice and everything nice the other guy is kind of bland... Having what makes people take pity on him be the most interesting thing about him... he does have a nice smile but I did not really connect with him on any level at all...

The second male lead on the other hand catered to my guilty pleasure bad boy gone cute and gave major SLS... The other characters are also pretty decent , lovable and interesting, except for some bullies but those wer okay written and having them not be so nice kind of goes without saying.

The kind of original plot twist in this drama make me want to rate it higher but the moments of cringe, me not really understanding some stuff and the male leads blandness keep me from upping the score.

So what can I say it was an okay watch, definitely worth watching but not a must watch.

Toxic Yet Enjoyable Cautionary Tale...

This is pretty much what you get when you take one mr timid, and one mr popular and put them in the same spot make them fall in love or lust or what not... In a drama where the assumptions do all the talking. Basically having these two live toghter as a spouses/Slave-Master/Kiddnapper-Kidnapee without actually communicating with each other at all, ever...Letting nes imagination run wild and so on...

All surrounded by rain, sunshine, and beautiful umbrellas... Umbrellas that should be red to represent the flags our male lead has but are kind of transparent holographic instead.

That said this was a very entertaining watch, with some fun lines more a record in misunderstanding steamy (pretty much everything) and while I do believe this should be seen as a cautionary tale rather then a romance I did manage to find some good in every single character and even kind of fall in love with mr. timids best friend.

Our vulnerability

This drama wheeled me in and kept my attention so much that before I knew it, it was 1:am, 7 episodes had passed and I didn't really want to let go.... until those two last episodes came in and slightly lowered the score.

The story shows fear. loneliness, depression, vulnerability, family, guilt tucked in with social issues, power, and love a drama that shows people with disabilities as actual humans and not just a the disability. And the idea of motherhood and the human behind the title as imperfect and flawed without being a bad mother for that.

There is are so many emotions in this it could have been overwhelming but it is packeted well with raw honesty, suspense, humour. parallels and just enough twists to keep it interesting without making it to complicated. It also shows a different way to being an actual human than many other dramas that portray disabilities. life in general and motherhood.

The balance of holding back, regret, and taking initiative, for who's sake is portrayed really beautifully in this. Not to mention what wearing someone else's haircut will do to set perspective and make you understand things about not only them but yourself as well.

The acting is spot on, the chemistry is definitely there between all the cast and the pacing was good untill they made.a few meeh turns, my pet peeve of past end present in the same frame, cringe and predictable jokes in the last two episodes. this may be one of few dramas with a healing theme to them that I actually enjoyed without rolling my eyes....

Underwhelming

Well this was bland... really really bland.

It starts off kind of funny with some relatable lines and and a nice cold meets shy and sweet, office friendships and some kind of helping each other out spirit but then it just goes flat predictable and lacks that spark to keep it interesting.

Those who are in it for OffGun do get to see Off and Gun interact but without anything to actually set Off Gun to create the fireworks we have been spoiled by in the past. I am not saying their chemistry is Off, it is more of a lack of processess in the story telling than an acting issue.

There is a side couple part stereotypical dumb girl, part geek inspired by a Bruno Mars Song that gives us and okay plotline with interesting development, but that too takes a turn to the meeh leaving me with a feeling of what a waist of time and cast. That said it is not a bad drama it is just not very good.

So if you are in the mood for Off Gun I sugest you go watch/rewatch pretty much any other one of their dramas. If you still want to watch this after reading this, go for it just be set your expectations low and prepared to be underwhelmed.

P.S. there is also this cringe educational theme to it... especially at the end of each episode that made me role my eyes... Sorry

There is something about how this drama was put together that hooked me from the very beginning. So much that I could overlook things that usually bother me like people talking to versions of themselves or poop jokes. Partly because they were done decently, partly because they actually forwarded the plot and partly because the characters where just so very lovable.

There is something about putting togeheter not just opposites but people from completely different places in life in a gruop based on mutual respect and an common interest. A group. that sees you and helps you grow all in a fun setting, adorable themes and even though some may seem slightly over the top they do not cross over to over the top pathetic annoying. Not even once. This is not an easy balance to maintain, especially in dramaland and with some of those acors. But somehow they managed to keep that balance. That alone made this worthy of en extra star. I love this club and would love to have one of those of my own even though I am not sure I would actually dare attend one.

The different ways to act as siblings in this is shown really well, and I must say fond siblings as well as biological siblings in this are some of dramalands best. The parents are some of dramalands worst (not something in the rain bad, but bad).

The romance in this is top, sweet, complicated, it has fun development and incorporates both playfulness, insecurity and shows different ways to find romance. But not only does it give me a romance addict the fix I need it also gives me different ways to love (outside of romance) as well as reasons to love even though it hurts.

Other things I love about this drama is the show of a bunch ways to feel insecure, fighting low self a steam, sthere is no quick fix and you can always relapse and self destruct. The show also manages how low self a steam is nurtured, what can make otherwise good girls lie, rebel and want to die.

So much good in this but not all, some parts are wrapped up to fast, specially the ending and family relations. Even though I said they managed to keep an okay balance I can not completely ignore the potentially annoying elements existence and some characters have moments of just a little bit to perfect.

Also I want a spin off with two of the best friends, preferably filmed a broad. ...

The summer that made amnesia seem nice...

That summer some 100 days (or probably less) my prince fell in love with a boy.... Which could have beeen great if it wern't for plot holes, inconsistency a complete lack of logic and a lack of passion. As opposed to the regular dead fish kusses many of us are used to seeing this drama offers us aggressive fast kisses, seriously the guys look like they are having a who can kiss harder and faster contest making it look more painful than pleasurable.

I also do believe the creators believe the audience also has amnesia as a newborn kid is still new born a year later, mking me go what? Also why? why? why would you add these odd plot points? They do nothing to the plot.

Some parts drag out for all eternity (or what it seem like) others are wrapped up i a flash making me wonder what happend.

The scenery is pretty, some of the side characters are lovely and thats about it.

Draggy and badly dubbed

This drama starts off pretty, decently nothing wow but youth, ambition smart people, talented people, mean girls and muscles. Really whats not to like...

Bu then it just goes on and on and onabout C1, C2 scheming and what not, taking away the sweet fluff moment's and even taking some really sweet characters and completely ruining them at an attempt from saving us from SLS or just to fill in episodes. I can think of 999 better ways to fill those episodes as they dragged out the middle the ending was so rushed I did't really catch what actually hapend.

So honestly while there is. a lot of sweetness and smart women for once the rest is just meeh and a waste of time. So if you do watch it Id say watch the school years and maybe first year of university but skip the rest or jump to the last 10 minutes, you won't really miss much.

Opposites attract and complete each other

This is a story about foremost two youths both troubled, broken, lonely but in very different ways, living in two very separate realities but within the same space. Maybe I should say spaces as while one space is the type that is so close but yet so far. Floating around like two parallel rivers. The other one has this window or maybe this small stream that connects the two rivers but only has space for the two of them. A space that allows the two to forget the worlds/rivers they come from and focus on each other.

While the story is a sweet, youth love story it is surrounded by the pain, lowliness and hardships of youth. A story that needs to be told. Letting us know that there are those who are predators, those who are victims and those that are bi standers. Thus explaining how the adult world could let these youths live the way they do.

It is really beautiful and fun to watch how these two find each other, watch these opposites interact, in more or less subtle ways.

A decent drama for most.

Edit:

Just watched the extra episode, that one is a 9, an interesting wrap up, while somethings change some things clearly stay the same.

one silent, closeted the other free spirited with a sense of fight inequality, Il get married wen I can vs. I dare not say anything about... anything. But one thing is clear the love and lust is there. But how long will they be able to hide?

The truth doesn’t matter, what matters is what people believe + allot of death and cuteness

I don’t think I have ever felt the need to show screenshots as much as I have for this series. The first 30 episodes or so where not really that interesting some parts where sweet, others where funny. some where weird, some scary, some touching, some really disgusting all in all not bad, but not really something that lived up to the hype of this drama. It was a story about war, taking/changing sides and dehumanization of the enemy with monsters that you may or may not want to tame into pets.

But then came episode 32!!! This was just epic in every single way and I finally understood the hype, so if u find it boring in the beginning, hold on, it will be worth it ones you get to episode 32. The hype is episode 32 then it steps up a notch from episode 1-31 just to completely explode in episode 46. All surrounded by an amazing scenery and one of the sweetest (unofficial) couples in all of drama land with cute bunnies, the prototype for the ginger bread cookie cutter from Shrek (so cute) the sweetest donkey ever and occasional visits by a dog.

The acting in this drama is mostly great, there are no truly annoying characters but you will want to harm and knock some sense in to quite a few of the side characters as well as want to hug other characters (not the same ones). The main leads acting and characters complement each other extremely well, their chemistry is amazing and you can really see how they care for each other.

This drama also has a great take on the art of war. And truly shows the less beautiful and more complicated sides of human nature during conflicts. Who has the narrative, who has the right to protest and can how far will you go to protect the people you love? What can make you turn your back on your best friend and how about those who stay silent. That and no drama is complete without the fragile male ego, who is of course also represented here.

Definitely worth a watch but I warn you some parts are a drag. I will however leave you with words similar to the ones said in this drama:
- The truth doesn’t matter, what matters is what people believe

Lies in the vally

While I admit there is love in this drama and indeed some clouds, there are just so many more mountains, vllies and lies in this to make me fully agree with the title.

The leads are extremely smart yet oddly oblivious and a blast to watch or at least most of the time, they also have quite a few frustrating moments as well as oh that turned fast... chemistry and gases are decent and so are the kisses. Their spirit animals are adorable too.

The second male lead had such SLS potential but the writers did him wrong, yes it did forward the plot and stand fore some of the twists but honestly cut those parts out and the drama may have been shorter but it would also have been better.

The other side characters are fun to watch and if we ignore parts of the secound male leads plotline there are no annoying characters, not a single really stupid cousin that shows up to ruin the mood.

the first 23 episodes are better than the last 13 but the last 13 are still highly bingeable.

All in all a decent easy binge

Eventful dark fluff

This drama really has a little bit of everything, friendship, magic, evil, suspense, hidden identities, double identities, depression, sports, romance and bromance... and a cute ghost dogWith a cute bubbly female lead with a hint of bad ass and slight lack of intelligence. A cold to obsessed male lead and a second male lead that is just so cute I got some type of combination SLS and hoping for them to either skip the romance or build a thruople/forple with the ghost where they live happily ever after in a house full of ghosts or letting the secound male lead end up with any one of them as he truly was the brights character in this show.

The first half of the drama was a 9 the second a 7 making this a solid 8.

Not a must watch but a decent entertainment, Id say purely entertainment way to pas your time that is sure to grab your attention and keep it occupied.

Nuance

This is one of those stories that is sure to grab your attention from the start and keep you both guessing and in suspense until the vey last scene.

As we meet Yuri, a girl that at an early age already lives with regret and does pretty much all she can to compensate the regret of her childhood. Trying to become a better adult than the ones she met as a child by getting rid of the problem and making sure the predators wont be able to act agin . Some would call it a vendetta, other murder, self defence, protection others defence works too.

However unlike many other vendetta stories out there this one comes with a bunch of messages, consequences, the guilty conscience and a whole lot of nuance and suspense.

We also get a window in to lives of her two friends/non friends (its complicated) . Those who kill together may not always be able to physically stay together, but no bond is stronger than owning crucial evidence of the crime.

Watching this you may wonder how many people will get killed by the end of the story, but it is not the numbers that count but the suspense of not knowing who will kill (and why) next that keeps you in suspense (plus a bunch of other stuff) .

A powerful story, that is easy to binge but not so easy to handle.

Cringe Up

This is a sweet drama that has the typical hard working poor female lead meets rich guy who only has eyes for her and other aloof guy in a sweet triangle of cheer giving lots and lots of people sls.

The cheerleading squad looks like something brought straight out of the 70s disco, making me wonder ABBA is that you?

The female lead has more mood swings than red flags in an old k-drama. She spends more time crying than actually cheering up, she has her moments but after cry number 999 I kind of stoped caring... There really is no middle either she is bubbly and bursting with energy or low on the ground crying.

The friendships are slightly predictable but sweet and most of these characters are indeed sweet and dare I say lovable and at times even fun to watch but i guess not enough to make up for all the cringe and meeh twists in this drama. Nothing is really wrapped upp wall either leaving with a bland taste of I will forget this.... Not even Bae In Hyuks dimples could save his boring character. And for those of you who have seen those dimples you probably know that they are what saved this from getting an even lower score.

I am not saying it is all bad, a 7 is still an okay score but it is just not that interesting...

Not so Much Love but Winter

This was a decent Thriller, Mystery , Drama not so much Romance but decent couples and a buch of obsessed psychopaths here and there.

Our villains are okay portrayed one being a combination of Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone meets Saw with a dash of Him... The other just our everyday obsessed bully.

Our leads are of course purer than pure, sweeter than sweet okay they may have some imoure thoughts here and there but they do cater to the one and only deal and ignore all others no matter how much time passes etc. All done in a pretty playfull manor with some really good kisses and decent all round chemistry.

The female lead is actually pretty smart, not when it comes to emotions but other stuff and so are the resto fo the women in this which is kind of refreshing for a C.

The other couples are okay, some better than others and while some of the side characters have moments that make me wonder what happened to their brain. Most of the time tey do thir jobs well and that is good enough.

The level of Protect our heros, Chinese propaganda is also kept under control, and the pacing is also better than a lot of other cs. Mmaking it an okay watch that could have gotten an 8,5-9 but there is just a little bit to much cringe and immature men in this to make it all the way up there.
