A real terjeker among the stars.

There are so many beautiful portrayals of stars in this drama that I think I may fall in to tears the next time I look at the sky. As I honestly can not remember crying this much during a drama since 1 litre tears. So obviously this is a drama that made me feel stuff, stuff I didn't even know I had in me. So even if the drama was not perfect, and made me a bit uncertain how to feel about certain parts of the drama such as he dragging out the depressed to make them do stuff thing . And there may be some parts that are made a bit to simple but the way our female lead was not cured by a week of fun upped the score a bit. Basically I guess it got to me.

The subject of loss, guilt, depression and suicide are never easy and I could not tell if it was the moments of smiles, humour and happiness that made me cry more or the way the female lead conveys her emotions (or lack of emotions) so well. The contrast between the cheerful teen and the numb adult hit really hard, so did her different interactions with her friends form the past and those who tried to save her.

This show dares to show men who are both are vulnerable, introverted, bubbly, sporty... nerdy. there is a show of deep friendships, sweet smiles, flirting, jealousy, I guess Life and then cut to how a persons death can affect so many of these relationships, And does it without shaming our highly depressed female lead. It also offers some of this years most powerful lines.

"It's not that I was busy I just struggle with enjoying things by myself "

"I can't imagine in how much pain you are in"

There is also a slight hint of LGBTQ+ rep in this that could make for a nice sequel of life goes on...

Definitely a drama I recommend just make sure to have tissues.

P.s the male lead and his friend are extremely charming with smiles that can melt anyones heart

Darker, deeper more bloodey ok 2nd part.

The second part of this drama took the otherwise "light" plot and turned it darker, much darker and wondered in to the depths of the psychopaths mind in a beautiful display of blood and art. Giving it a completely different feel to it and making it smart, kind of disgusting and pretty interesting... Consequences of actions unfold as the screen is covered with blood, lots and lots of blood.

But then came the cringe of the last episode a long with some cliches so I found myself lowering the score a bit.

It is still a relatively good watch that does not take the issue of suicide lightly while exploring it from a whole bunch of angles... one of the better attempts but it just misses its mark...

There is a clear difference between the 2 parts, not enough to motivate splitting it in two but the two parts are indeed very different. the guest actors keep on impressing and there is still just a little bit to much yelling and crying out loud for my personal taste...

What can i say, get ready to explore some gore... And watch out for that last episode.

Not a very good sequel,/spin off nope not very good at all...

This is pretty much what you get if you take the Adams family, give them superpowers add a bunch of odd stereotypes, put them in mission impossible goes honest and becomes a cop show honestly any cop show will do put them all in a blend/word mix app and ta da you got this show.

The most interesting character in the whole show is the villain who is not only fine but is the only one with a story... Dude is as evil as evil gets but he has his reansons and if only he were the male lead, maybe just maybe Nam Soon could have turend the bad boy good... or we could make a copleatly different story just for him maybe have him date the mom in reverse K2 type deal or maybe just give him a different lead to fall in love with all together... Anything would probably have done and uped the score from this otherwise pretty boring mess...

That said there are some moment of interest and intense stuff some of the friendships here are nice and the mom and grandma have their moments. The. grandmas guy and the cop male lead have thier moments of sweet but to be honest t he cameos 3 seconds of Bong Soon probably stand for one of the stars in this rating.

So if you loved the first season for it's chemistry and fluff, You are bound to get disappointed as it is just not there...

Rapunzel, Ursula and the Evil Capitalist House of Cards

What do you get if you cross Rapunzel with The Little Mermaid And Shopping King Luis and throw in a bunchh of annoying characters.... Well I guess this, this is what you get...

The Male Lead has some good sides to him (other than his smile) as he starts out as goodie good, good guy... poor unfortunate guy tries to survive in this world turned cold male lead with a hint of cruelty (just a hint). But after a while he turned in to this softer than soft guy who speaks sooooo slowly an mildly that it triggers my gag reflex. Think Kindergarten teacher meets priest in an afternoon special type of voice and character.

The Female lead is portrayed as childish but in a non annoying way, she is smart just not used to the world and looks at the world with these amazing curious eyes and does not need to be spoken with as if she was a toddler. She is powerful and ambitious, dedicated and so on...

The rest of the cast series in annoyance, and are mostly an unstable bunch who will love you one moment but hate you the next and vice versa. The truly evil characters are more evil than evil... Some evil characters start evil but go good... Other good guys turn out mmeee .... Those who go from good to bad seem to cast a spell on the rest as they are easily forgiven. But I will say that the evil psychopath of this drama is very well casted.

There are a lot of intrigues in this dram stuff happens all the time.... Some is interesting some not... most of my interest was taken away by the seemingly comic relief characters that just kept annoying me and the romance just felt wrong. Well filmed and fluffy with a guy who does actually seem to be kind and grasp most of the basics behind consent but it still felt just wrong.

Nothing I would recommend but it was fine for me though I will admit I ff some parts....

Fluffy, but repetitive and boring

I love fluff, I love the male lead and I love clichés but non of this can save this drama as it is repetitive boring, predictable and has 0 contact with reality making me wonder if the writer ever met an animal, much less a vet.

The leads are actually pretty decent, the annoying characters and elements are surprisingly low and the realtinships in this are actually not bad. But there is this whole detective theme to this that makes me wonder when the vets actually have time to heal animals if they are off exploring mysteries all the time.

I really do want to watch this, just so I can finally see the leads fess up to their emotions but something tells me Ill have to sit thrugh another 14 episodes of nothing interesting to get there and I doub't it will be worth it as their chemistry is just not that great to begin with...

Love the umbrellas (at least ) 7 times

This is one of those dramas that is just impossible to rate, the story is ok predictable at times, interesting at times, meeh at times...

It has pretty much everything and more but I feel like it would be enough for them to love each other twice or maybe three times but seven just feels like pushing it... that said the umbrellas in this drama are top, the less predictable twists (few as they may be) are really good to.

The leads are both lovely, taking turns with being smart, and less smart, bickerish push and pull and incorparating most of the tropes of dramaland, they did after all have to fall in love seven times + there where a bunch of side characters that also had to fall in love.

The main villain is as selfish and evil as it gets, the other villains have interesting character development and seem to have a bunch of dimensions. And again the umbrellas in this come in different colors, used for a bunch of different stuff and show up in the most amazing slow mo settings.

An okay watch... But could have been better if it had less episodes and if they focused on the loving instead of the quontaty of times.

Also I love the pig, tiger and cat! Those are lovely too!

Master chef goes Jeoseon

This is basically Master chef Jeoseon with the usual power struggles on the side. Trying tp answer the ols qwesion can food change the world, make peace in the far east or just change history....

The characters are decently made, lovable, horrible and at times even complexish... The plot is however very repetitive, mouth watering yes but extremely repetitive. The romance between the food and those who taste it shows greater chemistry than between the leads but also feels slightly silly.

The ending has a few to many loose ends and nothing really makes any sense, beside the amount of secound hand embarrassment does get overwhelming at times.

Still there is enough good in it to make me say it is an okay watch, just not very good watch.

Roupers in the House...

This is one of those dramas that is a little bit hard to rate as it has a lot of good but is cluttered by annoying characters and low, really low humour that at times made me cringe as well as could be interoperated as a bit offensive.

As the drama has lots of gossipy over the top characters . those who like the tenants n Vinchenzo, and the village people in Hometown chacha chat will probably love these too. I on the other hand get really annoyed by them. And my oh my there is so much gossip in this dram that you may come to the conclusion that the best move in life is moving out to a desserted island to live alone...

However I do like the Gilmore girls dynamics between the mom and the oldest daughter. I especially love the daoughters stubborness, coffee addiction and the way she interacts with her male lead.

The dog is cute as a button,

While I say I like the daughter the most all 4 leads as well as the relationships, flirting, dynamics and what not are relly, really good... Give or take, as a few moments that made me a bit mad and oh how I wish to see someone stick to the hate... but overall these are not bad,.. not bad at all.

Incomplete

I do not like multiple seasons and this one screams we only aired half a series to drag this out another season.

The characters are sweet and kind of interesting at times, there are great acts of friendship and affection but also a whole lot of wtf moments.

The dubbing is just awful, really, really awful the logic lacking and to be honest it didn't really grab my full attention making it even a bit draggy at times. That said chemistry is good. kisses are morally iffy but passionate.

An historical fantasy with more flesh than hearts

There is a lot of good in this drama, unfortunately is is overshadowed by a lot of boredom and things that just do not make any sense, att all making me wonder if this is more fantasy than an historical-

While the enemies to lovers is done pretty well and there are some sweet characters as well as pretty moments. The over all feel to this is:

WTF? But also and oh come on writers you can do better than this, and oh so boring... before it finally got interesting towards the end as it picked up some pace.

The amount of times the line "We used to be like brothers" is said would make for a deadly drinking game, but also kind of looses its meaning in the traditional sense as brotherhood really does not equal any type of love in this drama and is in now way a guarantee for not plotting to kill each other be it biological or circumstantial bonds.

No one in this seems to understand the notion of consequences to ones actions and the lack of letting others speak to point or actually listening to the other is astonishing.

Oh father I never thought you would be affected by me plotting treason, with the enemy because clearly at the time family didn't matter for that stuff? There is also this I love you come back to me...You were my best friend how did we end up like this... Well Im no expert but trying to kill your lover, your best friend, brother, sister, mother, mentor and all they ever loved kind of puts a strain on a relationship...

The romantic twists are oh so predictable and I do believe we got to see an historical version of early 2000 toxic male leads in one of the side couples. "no one has ever talked to me like that...."

"I have never seen a woman as stupid as you" - is probably the most honest line and only honest line in the whole drama speaking the minds of the viewers.

Other lovely moments include: I have experienced 30 seconds of kindness from this man, now I shall throw away all the bonds I ever had with my family, the kingdom I grew up in and follow him blindly in to enemy territory.... Because I love him so...

The way some people die from bearely being touched by a sward while others have super flesh that can flash heal from pretty much any wound is nothing short of a 1000 miracles. No matter where the sward or arrow hit the leads of this drama will survive... As long as they know how to love you know they will be alive.

Learning to fly while being stuck in a cage....

This is a rare gem, dare I say one of the most powerful C-dramas I have seen in a long time. Addressing several issues at once and unfolding them slowly, slowly to keep the suspense alive.

This drama has about 3 moments of fluff, sweetness, romance, and another 3 moments of friendship between the excruciating pain, misunderstandings, lies and moments that made me want to shove some people off cliffs, shake some sense in to others and just give the rest a really long hug. While I do not agree with most of the characters choices I appreciated the way they showed nuance and different perspectives to several situations as well as the view on perpetrator/victim, right/wrong and Freedom... Putting them in to context and making a total mess in my mind.

The female lead spent most of this drama holding back, showing very few moments of emotion, turning the other cheek over and over again, yet at the same time she is smart, creative, assertive, and bad ass in som many ways. The way the actress goes between these expression shows great talent and had me hooked.

The other characters do their job well but it is clear that the female lead (and her mom) are the center the rest are just there to support the flow of the story and highlight the different aspects of the female leads personality.

I binged this drama in just a few days, spending every moment I had between adult responsibilities (gotta hate being an adult), sleep, and food watching this, so it is highly bingeable but it it is in no way an easy watch neither is it a drama you should watch solely for the romance genre in it. But I dare say the quality of the storytelling, the acting, the drama is top, top up there with the movies Better days and Us and Them. It is a drama that tears you apart without fully picking up the pieces.

As you may have noticed I do have a lot of good to say about this, however part of me wanted to deduct several stars for a slightly rushed ending, some of the twists as well as a few too many "talking to the dead" moments. That said r i do believe the story, the symbolism (for example the caged bird) made up for it giving it a sold 9,5 star rating.

P.s. This is actually a c- drama that tells a story with discrimination and issues and very little praise China the motherland our saviour.

Something is just frustrating

About half way in i saw a few comments about this being frustrating, and while I had felt a slight hint of frustration nothing could prepare me for the frustration to come.

In another bubbly (2 of them actually) meet stubborn icicle and get absolutely no where....

The side characters are okay, acting varied in quality and if you look beyond the frustration the story is actually not bad. Childhood friends turned lovers vs new guy takes over?

Will the frustration ever end and lead to some kind of romance? and if so who will it be?

Will the girl get her crush? or will this end in just a whole pile of frustrated viewers and one sided crushes?

It is short enough to make the frustration bearable, but damn did I want to shake some people up.

Love over Plot

This is a drama that was basically carried by shower scenes and Raiden Lin who played Yang Zi Xiang / "Sean smiles, mimics, sign language.... gazes... carefreeness well everything Raiden Lin I guess.

The plot was as carefree as Lin, it seemed to have a bit of a whatever will be will be... we throw in a little bit of this a little nit of that here and there, no need to wrap it up, handle anything or develop anything more than letting the leads look at each other, shower alone, shower together, remove clothing....

All while keeping some kind of wholesome message, love is love and the only thing the deaf can't do is hear... But who cares when you can see love... That part was done slightly cringe at times but otherwise pretty decently however I felt that our non deaf male lead conveyed emotions and sign way better than the one who had been deaf his whole life. Still the two had good chemistry and did a good job just that Raiden Lin seems to be a much better actor than Yin Jun and the rest of the cast.

The family and friends in this drama are playful, sweet, loving and all round fun to watch.

A sweet romance, just mind some cringe and lack of meaning and consistency in the plot .But considering all the good in this really who needs a plot?

P.S the assitant had a really cool scar.

An easy binge, mind the cringe

I have some issues with this drama but overall I was entertained, engaged in the story and found some parts of it to be kind of refreshing as this may be the first drama that shows Dissociative Identity Disorder, that I actually managed to finish.

Things I appreciate:
Mental illness as part of a persons life, not so much stigma focus on treatment and the parts that work.
Found family and friendship.
Pain and suffering,
The female characters
The other male leads
Dimples
Smiles
Scenery

Things that made me role my eyes and lower the score:

Cringe,
Monologs
Deuett like speeches
Use of slow motion
The male leads plotline...

Unnecessary twists towards the end

But overall an easy binge, that almost managed to water my eyes

Plotless fluff...

Lovely cast, lovely friendships, lovely romance a bit draggy but the couples do have great dynamics and are fun to watch especially the quiet dude but to be honest nothing really ahppens in this 30 episode so called drama... AS there really very little to non drama, nothing really interesting happens, some things could happen but just don´t...

There is not really anything to make you feel the need to find out what will happen next as it just is...

That sid there are some good lines and moments of sweet and lovely fluff but the loveliness of those is whipped out by the slightly preachy tone to the dialog. And while it is nice to see a male lead use words like consent and respect, a rare occurrence in cs that should have me giving this a 10 I just find myself missing. a plot....

Kisses are blocked so many times I was wondering if I would get a display of balloons to mask the kiss if they ever got there... but once people start to kiss they make up for it so while my a part f me is saying this could be a great fluffpieace with a lot of rare gems the quality of the storytelling just is not there so my heart says 7,5.

In a time of AI I can´t help but wonder if the writers took a few to many short cuts...
