Cute, Cringe, Cinderella with a twist...

This drama starts of as a combination of Boys over Flowers and Cinderella and turns in to some kind of High school sports drama with a dash of murder mystery... Reminding me a bit of Clueless mixed with a K-drama that i can not remember at the moment (other than Bof). For those of you who are in it for the fluffy cliches this is definitely a fun to watch, easy to binge kind of drama that ill have you cringing, laughing, oohhing and ahhhing, and oh no you didn't.. .

The female lead is sweet, smart, sophisticated and pretty sensible... if I where to just stick to adjectives starting with an S, but honestly she is bad ass cool and I love her. The male lead is very typical broken guy turned good and hits all the right spots for those of you who happen like that trope whether you are ashamed to admit it or not. The found families and friendships here are great but I do feel that I should have waited until the second season was released because I am aching to see how the story unfolds, it ends with a hint of a (predictable) cliffhanger.

So entertainment wise this is a 9 or even a 9.5 quality, message and other stuff a 7 so I settled for 8,5 stars. Again this is for those who like fluff and cliches If you hated The heirs or Cinderella and her 4 knights you will probably hate this too.

Best of luck!

Less religion more drama

The series has allot less of a jesus loves you vibe to it and allot more drama with some loving, wonderful adults and a bunch of adults that made me yet again ashamed to be part of the adult community. While Dominic is this super patient sweetheart in the movie in the drama we get to see other not so nice sides to him reminding us that this is a real person living a complicated life than many gay teens probably can relate too.

There where a few scenes that broke my heart, some that made my heart flutter and some that made me laugh but there where also some scenes that just felt unnecessary which brought down the score abit. Some parts where also more predictable than others...

All in all definitely worth watching but be where there is pain and suffering to come. Also Luke's mom rocks!

A sweet bunch of cliches

Those who know me know that I am team cliche, so this drama was right up my ally with allot of wonderful recognisable cliches. No annoying characters and as far as I can see no one actually forcing themselves on the other, if it weren't for the co-habitation and cliches I would seriously have questioned if this was a c-drama or something else, but yes it was most sertainy a c-drama.

Most of the twist where predictable but they did have their own touch to many common beloved characters and twists so a plus on that. The goose in this drama is very charming and has won my heart as well as did make for quite some humor in to the romance making way for the following line: "I want to watch the snow and walk the goose with you"

The female lead is a bit too naive for me to give this drama more stars but is at least not stupid enough to make me wonder how on earth she survived so far... The male lead is the common lovable melting Icicle and all the friendships in the drama are lovely. The dubbing is however pretty bad, which is kind of funny since the female lead is a voice actress...

All in all a decent watch but not much more.

Great twists that keep you on your toes just not as good as Someday or one day

This drama is a twist filled ride that reminded me allot of Someday or one day yet was simply not as good. It was good and if I had seen this one first I probably would have rated it higher but having seen someday or one day I could not help but compare them and though this story is interesting filled with twists that are nothing like Some day or one day it had enough in common to make me compare the two and well Some day or one day is just better in every aspect.

The male lads look great and show allot of potential but the fact that they are beginners as actors is noticeable, however all the characters are lovable, and it is most definitely an enjoyable watch, The females in this drama rock, they are versatile, complex and show better skills than the men acting here. there are also a bunch of sweet fluffy animals adding to the general fluffy feel to the drama.

All in all definitely worth watching, and if you have not seen Someday or one day I recommend you watch this and then watch someday or one day and not the other way around.

Ice, Ice, baby...

This drama is very entertaining and easy to watch. I would not say it is particularly good or beautifully filmed but the OST is sweet and it has it's moments.

Most of the characters have quite abit of development and there are few truly annoying characters. Some characters are a bit exagurated but they work well for the plot. And there are afew characters that are really sweet.

The male lead is a true Ice cold male lead who is competent enough to lead a company but has not learned to use words for communication and rather seems to prefer the popular wrist grab, kiss and occasional light stalking over words.

The female lead starts off as an overthinker slightly naive, insqure sweety who gets tricked allot and is strongly affected by rumors. Not the best combo when paired with a guy who is not very good at talking and reassuring the insecure.... He more or less leaves her to struggle with her thoughts alone, and fights behind the scene instead with actions instead of words.

Then there is a whole preserving family pride, not willing to mix worlds and am I worthy theme to it. All in all an okay watch, just don't expect to much quality.

Sweet n fluffy with tension and cliches

Honestly I did not know what to rate this, but if you are in it for the fluff it has it in abundance and though it has some tension created by the first scene being her confessing her love and him turning it down and then rewinding a few years the drama is actually pretty free from drama and has more sweetness.

The first part of the drama is however abit draggy, so I actually speeded it up from time to time showing all that one may expect from a C-drama showing kids in highschool being more or less forced to study non stop and measured by their achievements with adults who seem to know nothing about communication with teenagers. It also shows the perfect couple growing together without actually becoming a couple with a huge amount of almost kisses and never ending matching clothing (they even manage to match the plants).

The second part of the drama is the reason for the added stars, though it would probably get bingo in rom-com cliches it is allot of fun to watch and follow these guys character development as well as how they interact with the world. Also the Male lead cries allot, and I mean allot more than any one in this drama. I have never seen a C-drama let a guy cry as much as this guy does and he does it beautifully with added lipgloss to make him seem extra sweet.

More or less everyone except the female leads mother and the teacher are lovable. The second couple is an added bonus and the friendships shown are the icing on the cake (they also have cake) but no kittens or fluffy animals (very rare for a c-drama so do not be to disappointed about that) .

All in all definitely worth watching but it is okay to speed through the first part, put it on 1.5 speed and you wont even notice you are speeding.

Sweet and fun with a side of insecurity and fear

This is a mostly sweet drama showing different sides to friendship, unrequited love and finding ones place in the world...

How can I stay close to the person I love while protecting the friendship as well as my feeling? Is it better to stay close or get away? And how do I move on once I realise it just ain't gonna happen are done in a really interesting and sweet way.

The drama also shows a good example of living in an accepting environment verses a not so accepting environment,

Both the main couple and side characters are really well casted and written, nobody is annoying or overbearing in any way and all seem crucial for the plot and aid the character development in this very short drama that makes good use of the time in it. However Shi de may come of as this super sweet guy he is a bit of a trickster and has stalking tendencies so please bear that in mind and do not repeat his actions, entertaining as a plot but allot of red flags for real life relationships.

All in all definitely worth a watch being both entertaining and touching.

Easy to watch, sweet and funny

This drama is just a pleasure to watch, the plot flows nicely without too many big issues, with fluff, with and mostly logical and wise decisions overall. Nobody really forces themselves on the other, and barely any stalking or big misunderstandings. No one is particularly annoying and though the propaganda is mildly present it is not nearly as big as many other dramas. This is not a drama that will keep you on your toes but you will probably find yourself wanting to see more of this pretty much healthy couple grow together and find solutions to make their potentially very complicated relationship work.

I love how the main couple interact with each other as well as with the people around them as well as how they portray fans, jealousy etc. making me smile most of the time.

So if you need something that just flows without complicating things this is definitely a good choice, just sit back and relax and they will do the rest.

Sad, creepy, odd, depressing... with a slight glimmer of light, but not really

This was probably one of the saddest and creepiest things I have ever watched. Leaving me with a sense of what did I just watch. Being different then anything I have ever seen, and I think I have seen quite a bit of different types of content, but this was definitely something new for me. It is well done, and it left me with a whole lot of questions, and a spinning head while still being oddly relatable. The living can be scary, phone calls are scary too... So if you have 42 minutes to spare and feel like watching something a tad different that will make you go what... this is definitely worth your time. I may come back and write again once I have processed this but right now my head is spinning trying to understand what I have seen.

Entertainment value very low, educational and representation value high

This movie feels like an educational movie to support HBTQ+ people with disabilities. The entire movie is in sign language and is really well done which makes it a bit heard to watch for those who are used to using their hearing, the surrounding sounds stick out in an almost painful way. the story itself is kind of sad and sweet at the same time and they do a pretty okay job showing diversity as well as these people as competent people worthy of love as well as a variety of responses people may get from society and loved ones all good and important issues pretty well done but does not really grab the average viewers attention. I do however hope that it is shown to many teens and that it can educate people as well as give hope to people struggling with their sexuality and/or living in a closed environment urging them to find a safe place with loving people. So all in all I am happy this exists but not much more and I know the entertainment business should be able to do this better, but seeing how hard it is to find this type of representation I guess I kind of get the feel of Ill take what I can get...

Started off well but took a dive and just became plain boring

This drama had great potential, showing a love story between two people with very different backgrounds and ability. This drama starts of showing people with disabilities as competent people worthy of love without ignoring the ableist world we live in as well as taking a pretty good punch at charity work and showcasing disadvantaged children like they where animals at a circus. The female lead seems to be both independent, smart and loving while the male lead is the typical icicle in need of some good defrosting.... so far all good

But then it takes a very odd turn to the posesive, obsessive, toxic... as well as total utter stupidity with a whole lot of stalking rounded up with some pretty blunt ableism. So if it started as a 10 it ended in a 5 thus it gets a 7 star rating.

In other words I probably should have stopped watching this show somewhere around episode 13...

Nice combination of tropes done right

This drama is nothing special but sweet, fluffy and has a whole bunch of good old drama cliches keeping you just a little bit nervus done mostly right.

There is one character that is annoying but she grows allot during the drama making all the scenes bearable to watch and not a single itch to skip, big + for that. The show , shows a nice level of character growth and has one of c-dramalands sweetest thrupple sisterhood. The female lead is pretty smart when it comes to all but her emotions. The male lead is as warm as hot cup of coco, he may be a tad persistent but overall he is pretty good at not forcing himself on the female lead.

So all in all pretty sweet and fluffy and definitely has the potential to fulfill all your fluffy needs.

Sweet Mint bubblegum bubbles

Sweeter than sweet this adorable little teen drama will probably keep you smiling while you watch one of dramalands sweetest (a tad deceptive) male leads support and encourage the female lead as well as smooth out some misunderstandings. 'This drama screams summer, youth and very innocent puppy (or kitten) love from start to finish.

I love the friendships, the growth and the sunny atmosphere making this drama very easy to watch and making each episode fly by,... what drags down the score is how the character of the second female lead is portrayed as slightly evil due to poverty. Though I do like the way they show how poverty may cause people to judge you as well as cause shapme in a pretty good way. everything else around that character just felt wrong and misplaced dragging down the general bubblegum feel of the drama.

The drama also deals with finding ones self, standing up for ones interests and not having ones parents dictate ones future in kind of rushed and pretty predictable yet still sweet way (also dragging down the total score).

This drama probably has one of my new favorite teen couples and one of few dramas I can see would do well with a second season of sweet college life in a sunny China showing them struggle together to achieve their dreams or something like that.

All in all definitely worth watching if you are int the mood for some sweet mintey teen fluff

50 shades of toxic sweet and HOT obsession

"Let me be your first and last love" Romantic or the beginning of a crime thriller? This drama gave out strong 50 shades of grey vibes in the beginning, not that I have seen/read 50 shades of grey, but I do live on earth and have been here for a while.

I honestly do not know what to make of this, I watched it for the week lead, and boy did I get a week lead. Reall. really, week lead making me wonder how on earth this person survived to the age of 20.

The Male lead is possessive, obsessive and horney as hell and is most definitely in need of a lesson or two in consent while at the same time showing moments of respect. Very odd combination if I may say so but fun to watch and makes way to A LOT of very steamy scenes. Scenes shot beautifully sexy yet without reveling to much skin. The sexual tension in this drama is over top.

This drama also has some interesting twists, other toxic evil men who most definitely cross the line over to seexual asult showing us how victims often blame themselves instead of the perpetrator.

All in all pretty fun to watch and very easy to binge

Beautiful in so many ways...

There is something speciell about this drama, though the story is very typical worm-cold puppy love I cant help but fall for it over and over again (yes I am writing this review after having re-watched it). With just the perfect combination of sweet, sorrow, tension, comedy and stomach acing nervousness.

The male lead is cold, so cold it becomes really funny at times yet warm and caring at the sam time, just not so that any one else can see it, and completely lacks communication skills. He is surprisingly self-awere but the first time I saw this I wanted to yell at him, WHY are you doing this to her. His lack of communication skills is also reflected in his lack of understanding for the notion of consent (but he does not force himself or anything like that) yet he does show some character growth I love the way he stays true to his core introvert self all the way threw the drama, Also be observant of his ayes throughout the drama they tell allot more than his words and actions.

The female lead is the epifani of optimism, and his COMPLEATE opposite in every imaginable way, her love, her pain, her enthusiasm and grasping for straws shines thru the screen making it hard not to love her and want to protect her, she does however have her limits and at least tries to put up boundaries to protect herself at times which keeps her from falling over in to being truly pathetic.

The second male lead is very warm, outgoing, and a true doer. He is extremely devoted and lovable in every singel way, yet is does play a significant role in adding substance and time to this drama. I think many people can easily get SLS for him. I would not mind, a spinoff for him to find love in.

The dynamics between the three is actually both funny, heartbreaking and ever evolving... and does not really feel like the typical love triangel since there seems to be some kind of respect towards each other.

The side characters are just the best, the friendship is just as important as the romantic love in this drama. The second couple is as adorable as adorable can be. And the chemistry between the cast is just fenomenal. Not a singel character annoyed me! (very rare for a c-drama).

What tipped the scale over from a 9 star rating to a 10 is how this drama shows the life, hopes, fears and dreams of a teenager with a serous heart condition, both in day to day life and when it takes a tern to the worst...

To top it off it has my favorite monolog of all time,,, and is beautifully shot as well, so yes this is a love so beautiful, and a beautiful love.
