This could be a really good adaptation but so many things need to fall in place. The fighting scenes, the chemistry between the male lead, the actors, the costumes/politics all need to be correct and well-done. I hope that they're still working on this behind the scenes, I hope there's someone in charge who cares about this production as much as the fans do.

It seems like a lot of things are delayed now- for various reasons. This time, last year, we were on episode 8 of SVSSS. Heaven Official Blessing came out right after. TA came out in mid-February. I wonder if only one, maybe two, BL donghua can be out at a time. So, Lie Huo is out right now on Bilibili and Funimation. We still have 7 more weeks. I wonder if after that, we'll get SVSSS. With this new timeline, we could be looking at summer 2022 for Thousand Autumns season 2.

Yeah, I don't think he's our Yan Wushi anymore. He's so busy and good for him. We're back to square one, waiting for rumors to hear about what will happen with this drama. Hopefully, it's not delayed for another year. This was supposed to start production in 2019.

I've noticed a pattern, whenever TA makes a splash, rumors of this drama also arises. In 2019, the audio drama came out and that's when rights for this production were purchased. In 2021, the donghua came out, and that's when we got some rumors about this drama and possible actors. So, I'm assuming we'll get some news when season 2 of the donghua comes out and even more people are talking about Thousand Autumns.

Vengo Gao doesn't really have a Yan Wushi-esque look from another drama, but Song Ji Yang has a Shen Qiao look!

Ahhh, Vengo Gao is so handsome and age appropriate for Yan Wushi. I would love it if a man like this played Yan Wushi 😍. Yes, I think Liu Xue Yi looks too good as a monk. We'll see what happens when he grows his hair out again. Exactly. You can only hope and pray (if you're religious) for these actors. I've been burned by the C-ent industry, and I think it's a terrible place. Hopefully, the fandom can be supportive and positive for these two.

Omg, you're right! He does remind me of Xue Ting! I don't think Liu Xue Yi can be YWS, though. He's very busy now. But I don't know when this drama will start filming. If they do it soon, I don't think he could be one of the main characters with his packed schedule. But anything could happen!

From what I've witnessed in other fandoms, they're going to try hard. I wish both actors luck.

Yes, the rights to Thousand Autumns has been brought. This live action is happening. We have a network, we know who's producing it (it's not MangoTv), we know one of the directors, but that's it. Peerless will also get a live adaptation, its rights has been brought as well, but less information is known about Peerless.

However, this project can be dropped. The industry is unexpected and turbulent. There have been recent changes to the Chinese entertainment industry. Hopefully, we'll get some concrete rumors/information about this drama soon. They were supposed to start filming during the fall/winter.

Yeah, I don't trust c-ent industry at all, too. Recent events have wounded and scarred me. But I do trust that a passionate production team could create something marvelous, despite whatever limitations placed on them. It is worrisome that we haven't heard of ANY rumors.

There are rumors going around that BLs are banned or something, that's not true. However, these changes will take sometime for production teams to act upon. For example, production teams might need to hire Fan Site Managers now in order to monitor official fan sites. It seems like Chinese entertainment industry wants to do away with toxic fan behavior and promote healthier internet usage. We'll see how this looks like moving forward. In the long run, this could be great news for Thousand Autumns. If this drama is successful, hopefully the actors can avoid toxic fan behavior that might affect their mental and physical wellbeing.

It all depends on the production team. Do they care about this drama? The original story? My expectations are so high with costumes and plot. And the male leads! Ahh, I just want to know already and start watching those actors' previous works to see how they are.

Yes! I think season 2 will be better than season 1. It seems like they're paying attention to details and making sure the fans understand what's going on in the story with the costume changes! I'm so excited. I heard that the donghua got a new team director. I was really upset about that at first, but maybe this change is good. We'll have to see.
