The creepiest was the poor old man in his fish tank. The timeline edit made it a bit harder to understand but once the things all aligned, it made sense a little too smoothly. But it made for a tense watching, anyway, because of the threat to kids.

I wonder if, in the novel, YingYing's mom is just divorced away or also missing. To do what the villain did and prep for so long in advance - "just in case" something happens - seems a bit far-fetched, if he wasn't already used to make things happen. This isn't his first rodeo, I think.

Anyway, all's well that ends well. Even the secondary villain isn't as bad, he can be redeemed. I'll not be the one to fix him, LOL, even if he still has some boundaries, the gambling addiction and the lengths to which we went for just a small pension isn't recc'ing him for a relationship.

I didn't recognise Bi WenJun with that hair and those glasses, LOL. And his character is even called Jun.

For a father with a missing young child, Tang Yu is so chill. I'm more on his wife's side, I'd be doing the crazy madwoman on a mission rounds all those appartments every second, double time on Sundays. Is the character just as chill in the novel, I wonder?

Just found out about him through him singing the theme song of A Winter's Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hill's Dream (an amazing song and an amazing drama, go watch it). He has an incredible soothing voice.

Ohsh!t is this going the way of Star Wars?! Like, make a movie, then three unrelated but still somehow related TV series, then an animated series, then another movie, then a spinoff, then the second part of the original movie and so on and so forth, making someone having to drag themselves through unlimited amounts of media that they were never interested in, just to get to a second movie and understand whatever happens in it?!

Marvel does the same idiotic thing, which is why I haven't watched them for years. I guess if this approach takes, I'll be cutting off some dramas too.

I'm thinking about freaking bears, TBH. They did say there were bears around those parts, so maybe it's not the bear from Molie, but it could be another. And ChangYang coming back with a clean shoe is just him trying to protect his family from the idea of QingTian being attacked and killed by a bear.

There have to have been some remains, since WenShu can put the ashes in the fireworks, but maybe ChangYang didn't want QingLang to see... And their grandma and mom.

Like THE F!CK WenShu, he's freaking DEPRESSED, has been for YEARS, it doesn't freaking GO AWAY!!!

Also, freaking QingLang, it's not going to be as easy as have a good cry and talk about it ONCE. The man TOLD YOU what he's been thinking about.

Also, the f!ck with the analogies this time, tell us he had an accidental fall or jumped himself, don't leave it so ambiguous. It's one thing to just have an accident in the mountains - quite easy, ask me how I know - but completely different from causing it yourself. If it was just an accident, it'd be easier to accept, IMHO. But if it wasn't, the whole bunch of them just stood around and let it happen.

From here to the second extra, I can't do it justice by summarising it. And it's a good TL (2 chapters and 2 extras).

He gave up therapy before getting on for keeps with Gao Zhun and became a professor of psychology. That's where the tie-tying scene comes from, he was going to his first day at his new job and wanted good luck from his partner.

LOL, good for me I read the novel's ending, or it would've been confusing.

The best part is that they actually managed to stay very close to the novel's plot. Gao Zhun and Zhang Zhun also were pretty easy to separate :)

Since last week, it's two eps per week.

So basically, it would have COST too much to actually film the sequence so they made a deep-fake AI one instead. No excuses about making art and all that jazz that ALWAYS comes up when the award season rolls in.

AI is not art. It's regurgitated mash (sometimes hilariously so - see the US "African" map they just presented at the UN) that replaces humans and the NEED for expert humans. It takes jobs - not just in the IT industry, other than the prompt-generating human, but also from the FILM industry. If one can just cut costs and not use stunt doubles, cinematographers, prop makers and on and on - these people will be either be paid less and less (because they're replaceable) or cease to exist at all, in time.

I cannot accept any such excuse. If I had known it would involve AI before starting, I would not have started it. It's not that I am a purist when it comes to drama or cinema. But his excuse is lame, and it just all comes down to cost - even when regarding the stupid Kopiko commercial. (THOSE weren't AI, were they? I guess the actors still have some value to sell things.) If the drama cannot do without the scene, get the budget for it properly. If it's not really needed, then don't include it at all instead of making it AI. It's not that hard.

Sure looks like unspoken rules, and also Sis Jialin now has to fend off the freaking "sponsor". I think Han Lu thought it would be a one-off, but the guy seems persistent.

WenShu CANNOT be unaware QingTian already knows. Why is he being stupid?! WENSHU STOP BEING STUPID and DO SOMETHING!!! I know he called QingLang over, but it won't be enough. QingTian is already acting off, like he doesn't even care, he's not being subtle about it at all. Dammit, if they drop the ball on this boy I'll go over there and spank everyone.

Also, Han Lu, ah, Han Lu... That was awesome and extremely stupid at the same time. I don't want that for him, at all. He'd be better without the hanger-on.

PS Mysterious Hunter school or something, let's have a deal - you have 10 days for whatever you do there, the students have a three-month vacation. Repeat throughout the year. Deal?
