After the first ep, I only want to know who's last on the studying ranks, LOL, he's the penultimate one hahaha~ (and last on the fighting top UNTIL NOW :D)

(I have two exams next week, I'm procrastinating like crazy, this drama is THE perfect solution LOL).

Ep 3 put me to sleep three times (on different days) before I managed to finish it (I am not joking.) At least now Wang Ye is here, I'll just muddle through for him, if nothing else.

Thoughts so far: the new Zhu Ge Qing is cute, but the older one had charisma and was much more pleasant to watch in action. The plot is needlessly convoluted and the team is too uninformed. I don't care about any of them other than Zhang ChuLan and BaoBao. I have zero interest in Chen Duo's problem. I didn't think there was any way I wouldn't like an Yin Fang character, but here we are (like why the f should I care about his cult?) The platinum blonde guy is too annoying with his fake smile. The only one I still almost kind of like is ZiZai.

I guess I'll be taking this slowly then.

PS Someone must've asked the director how much slo-mo does he want and the reply was "yes".

Zhenbei's aide did imply it was not an one-off action of the Duke, but that the Emperor was somehow involved.

AND the actual sword of the Dafeng Emperors was in Duke Zhenbei's hand when the Kui tribe came. That wouldn't happen accidentally.

I keep telling people... The least censored part of any of the adaptations of MDZS is the audio drama. They do sound effects... and they included the actual last scene of the novel, before the extras, LOL. So keep faith and listen to the audio drama :D (yup, including "Everyday means everyday" LOL).

And - there are HUNDREDS of danmei novels already translated, some of them even officially, out there. They kind of fed my addiction for the past few years (though I admit I had an early start with yaoi manga anyway).

Because you actually like gay romances, just admit it already and go have a gay relationship of your own, you're welcome, kthxbye.

Take your medicine: read the novel. There's a three-season (finished) donghua series. There's an (ongoing) manhua. There's the audio drama (very good). There are the thousand FMVs on youtube. ETA There's the MDZS Q series too. (We all needed diabetes anyway).

Accept it. This is your life now.

Then, to qualify it, the present wrecked state of the world is too pervasive to even consider a trauma-focused drama (even if they miraculously save everyone).

OMG IT'S YOU!!!!!! You're to blame for making me watch Our Beloved Summer, LOL. I READ that article and you made the drama sound so interesting (because of the music, I'm also one to be VERY easily caught in the music of a good drama, or even of a bad drama, I don't care, if the music is good), I went and started it, had a really good backwind for about half of it... then the wind went out of my sails and I struggled SO hard to go through, LOL (it's not even funny hahaha~), but I just couldn't finish it.

Give me back my 14 hours! :D (Just kidding, but yeah, the truth is I didn't finish it. That one really became like watching paint dry by the last quarter of it and I couldn't do it.)

But it IS a win for the article that it did make me try the drama out :D

2 YEARS?! Oh wow. There are no words. All you writers for MDL are really dedicated to the task, and I congratulate you for your fortitude (and patience!!)! (I won't even write reviews myself, LOL, too much trouble). Keep up the good work!

That one I never intended to watch - lovers who broke up then reunited decades later was the theme of almost every other romantic drama last year, LOL, and just the synopsis was enough to get me to pass. But just to make sure I just went to watch the trailer and... I am really surprised (in a bad way). That's not even a pretend-trailer. I'd rather re-watch some parts of Jirisan again :D

After Jirisan, I would've watched a doco with JJH watching paint dry. But then came Blood Free and that desire is now almost completely dead. And TBH the world itself is kind of a wreck right now, I don't really need more trauma even if fictional...

Almost two weeks late, LOL, sorry, I'm actually sad for your hard work being so much delayed.

I don't know, but it's possible. It looked like he suddenly lost a lot of qi - either because of the presence of the Second Master's pen/knife that did something to him... or maybe it was just something the warlock (XQA's dad) did to him because he could, and maybe to take a little revenge or show him who's in charge still.

Then again, knowing the Emperor, it might've been something he did or planned himself, because he thinks a few steps ahead and decided it was the right move for whatever reason.

I was reminded that JoL2 was delayed - for years - by the pandemic. Hopefully it won't take long this time.

I've been missing JinYoung, so glad he's back.

The drama sounds interesting, did anyone here watch the Chinese movie version or read the manhwa? Is it full romance or do they actually have some supernatural things in it too?
