This is SUCH a cute, and sweet and heart-touching story that is buried so so deep under atroucious MTL subs it's not even funny. I thought Hunter/Wolf Hunter was the worst it could get, but this one manages to take it a bit further LOL. I got SO good at reading between the lines and trying to make sense of crazy town subs TM, but I made it! I've watched it all through and it was worth it!

I really hope some TL fansub appears somewhere, because heartwarming stories are few and far between and this shouldn't be almost completely unavailable to int'l watchers... Here's hoping!

IIRC they were in the same introductory course when they met Min Soo (and not just for one time), right? She could've changed majors if that's possible, or just wouldn't go into law practice after finishing it. I have no idea. I also think she mentioned something like KHW having been offered a post in their firm's legal dept. that he had refused, so maybe she's that type of lawyer..

They are all surnamed Kim.

Han Mi is the reporter and unofficial (bastard sounds a bit off...) daughter of the Chief Prosecutor Kim Seok Hoon.

Kyu Ri is now a prosecutor. She was supposed to fail getting into law school in KHW's first life, and he prevented that.

Hee Ah is the chaebol daughter. She too was in law school, but now seems to be more involved in her father and brother's companies. She's the "official" FL but IMHO, it's Han Mi who has the best chemistry with KHW and I hope if there's any kind of romance, it'll be between the two of them.

I'm sorry, LOL. I'm a fan of JCW, though I'm not always wow-ed by his pick of dramas... but the trailer still looks a bit too-inspired from TGS. I really, really hope there's no paralel of any kind between that movie and this drama's story.

Also, is it going to be a real musical drama, or just bits and pieces (like they do in Bollywood, for example, LOL)?

Well, I was there for the bromance and for Woo Do Hwan. I'm a fan, can't help it. But everything else is almost forgettable (and I would completely forget it if it wasn't so bad, LOL.)

Yup, the only good thing about TKEM was Woo Do Hwan and no one can convince me otherwise LOL. Though it did start in an epic manner. I had hopes, though LMH's dramas have burned me before... oh well.

About AML, we'll have to wait and see :D

Actually, I was just thinking his cheat will stop working in a catastrophic way any... second... now.

I mean, he set up so many new threads of life that didn't happen before, and stopped others from developing. Dr. Malcolm will very easily show you how the chaos theory says that ANY little change, no matter how unimportant in the story of things, will cause MASSIVE changes down the road.

It's been already 7 years. His parents didn't die, he did go to law school in his first try, KKR also never collapsed and ended up a prosecutor, PSM is now living as he wants, CTS's son is dead and his plans foiled in relation to the real estate and the old man, and then some of the politics has also changed.

Things SHOULDN'T keep happening the same everywhere else. It's mathematically impossible. So I'm expecting something, ANYthing, to fail spectacularly.

Then again, I never read the manhwa and I have no idea how maths-inclined the author ever was. They could as well just ignore chaos theory altogether and just make up whatever rules they wanted. After all, there's a Shinigami in there too, so it's not supposed to be sci-fi but fantasy, so everything goes LOL.

PS The very BEST thing to explain (or actually show) how chaos theory would work when you change the past is the anime Steins:Gate. Okabe makes such a mare's nest of things just TRYING to put Humpty-Dumpty back together, it becomes tragic. I love that anime.

I just knew PJG was Mrs. Koo's ex-husband in Joseon days. But are they both aware? Does that mean the ripped red string is tied to each of them even now? Can it be mended? Why did she end up in Hell?

For some reason I thought this was 12 eps long, now it's 16 (or it was always 16 and I misremembered). It's high time to solve the Reapers' back stories... unless there's a second season in store, which, given Netflix's idiot idea of not allowing shared passwords and introducing ads... will DEFINITELY not happen. Oh well. I hope they wrote a nicely wrapped, definite-ending series.

PS Why would the fake Grim Reaper's eyes glow yellow?! The heck was THAT all about?

This was one of the better episodes (meaning ep 8), with some more actual action, independent work and then a good epilogue (second to ep 3 epilogue, but that one will be hard to defeat LOL).

I actually don't really like all the cliche set-ups for the prosecutors to get their gangsters, I've seen it ALL before (the drug dealing, the snitching, the gathering of some higher hierarchical power to defeat the local corrupt people etc.) I want to see some more RE: the actual revenge.

Also, HanMi is THE BOSS (even if not really all that voluptuous LOL). I loved her reaction :D

He went for both of them. The chief prosecutor for his own purposes, and the gangster/bodyguard in order to give him a better choice in life... and well, he is a good fighter. KHW can't fight them all out by his lone self LOL.

I loved the story of Park Sang Man. LOL, he's a new KHW fanboy - whatever happened to MinSoo?!

Lots of new people added to KHW's circle of life, can't wait to see how he manages all of them.

LOL, the military joke was too good not to be repeated. Everybody was consoling him, and he goes, ~nope, they can't call me up twice.~ You haven't done your time this life around, sorry, heheh.

HanMi's dad is scum and even though he pretends to care, he only cares ar far as it doesn't affect his career. I hope he gets a flaming fall out of grace.

I just LOVE how KHW is using a catspaw to change whatever wrongs he knows about, and Jang Il Heon just laps it up, thinking KHW is doing it for his sake LOL. That's the spirit!

Lots and lots of new faces, and some of them might or might not have had any relationship to his first life. Also, KHW still has the best chemistry with HanMi and nobody can convince me otherwise.

He knew as soon as he heard him play the WuJi (in-drama) / WangXian (in-novel) theme. LWJ is the author of the song, and he only played it once for WWX in that cave when WWX was drifting off after they defeated the Slaughter Tortoise. So there was nobody else who could possibly know the tune :D

And it was also later established that WWX is really, really good at remembering tunes he only heard once - particularly with the Song of Acquiescence that Meng Yao changes to kill MingJue slowly.

So yeah, LWJ had no doubt.

Plus, NOBODY else dares call him Lan Zhan all the time LOL.

As for them talking about it - there was no need. WWX is smart. and after asking about it for a while, he did realize how come LWJ recognized him. It's both in the novel and in the drama, basically the same, with the extra that in the novel LWJ also tells him the name of the tune, exasperated by the crazy names WWX would give it, and then WWX - as usual - has a huge bout of giggles over it.

He had sex in three separate occasions with a girl aged 17. There was a court trial and a sentence so yes, it's proven. He was found guilty for prostitution of a minor in two instances out of the three (he promised the girl he'd get her a role in a movie) and there was a slap-on-the-wrist kind of punishment (no jail time, some suspended time and community work).

Also, it happened in 2002 and he was basically banned from Hallyu for about ten years. I have no idea how he got back into the industry, maybe he was cheap enough (and he gets plenty of awards.) That doesn't mean he's a predator or "groomer", but yes, he's scum. I read his wiki page before AML when people got into their vapors about it, and there was a lot more info than what's there now, I guess somebody curated that page to make it less creepy.

That being said, the only thing making him stand out is that he's back in big name productions while some others got the boot forever. Hallyu usually doesn't get too permissive of out-of-norm behaviour (just look at the mess past bullying or even unproven accusations of bullying are making out of newbies' careers.)

For me, it's not a hill I would die on, but it did leave a bad aftertaste seeing the character he's playing - CTS - speak about the right of women not to be abused and about punishing sex offenders... The producers seem to be at least a bit tone-deaf on that. Or maybe he really is that cheap to hire. The rest of the cast didn't have a choice of acting alongside him or not, unless they're in the production team, which they most probably are not.
