This is a CCTV drama, the censors are as strict as they come. What you are describing as "dark romance" would never pass the review. So at least show the source for these claims.
So much fun! Just ignore the "minor" questions about other people. It's fun to follow the leads, good blend of action and just enough comedy. Great movie to relax your brain and give yourself an entertaining vacation. If you are looking for something serious, then this is definitely not it.
Toyoshima Hana carried a lot in this movie, really a great job from such a young actress. I was really pleasantly surprised.
Overall the acting was quite good, with just a minor wobble here or there. It pairs with some excellent camera work, nice effects and a plot that's a bit thin.
You won't see a masterpiece if you watch it but it will be enjoyable, which is enough.
Not a good time for TV ratings. We have entrance exams at the beginning of June which really are considered the most important moment in a young person's life. So the TVs are off, the whole family bends to the preparations. Usually the highest ratings are winter vacation and lowest around this time and beginning of June before it starts to rise again.
Biggest rumor out now is May 17th. Seems very likely because this is pretty much the time that has been talked about and it fits with CCTV schedule and upcoming dramas. So, very awkward timing but it's coming.
