my short interpretation of this would be a modern 21st century love story that is still stuck in a super duper…
yeah, that possessive cliché is a peeve for me too.. Idk why it's considered some kinda step towards "romance" when they pull out that "don't [hang out or even be friends (basically)] with other guys" line.. I just much prefer the ~opposite <3
wait that description wasn't there before.. she gets ~rejected?! TWICE?! what- why?? Idk if that's even worse than being in a mutual crush without either knowing lol but it sure sounds it cuz dang.. also the inevitable breaking of the heart of that person she first ends up with cuz of ~course she's gonna leave him to get with the one she wanted since 10yrs ago lol.. no OT3 here, siighh.. u.u
I'm only halfway into episode 2, but I need one spoiler. By the end of episode 4 is the ML still best friends…
They're drifting apart cuz HJ feels ~insecure about "being in the shadow of HH".. ;(
It is definitely ~heavily implied that there'll be some competition from HJ's side, in that such a cliché plot usually means he's gonna push away his "more popular" friend to try & do things on his own. There's also been hints towards a "love triangle", but only in the cliché sense where obviously-second lead HH is most likely gonna end up ~unrequited & alone, tsk. If possible, better to wait till it's done airing to see what really happens with everyone.. (unless you're impatiently curious like me, heh) <3
riight lol just reading that summary I got flashbacks of other dramas.. u.u
loool I was mainly thinking of HoGu's Love (ehh) & Manhole (omg, all of the main chars were suuper frustrating as heck & rather ~unlikable to boot, but also the plot was really quite funny, pfftt).. ironically, both featured Uee xD
Two words after watching the latest episode: Hello Monster. If you love what you saw at the end of episode 4 (that…
But do try to watch R1988 first, cuz HMIRY is the kind of ~disturbing role that can haunt you for mths afterwards.. & R88's Taekie is too pure to view ~after going thru the messy emotional rollercoaster that is HMIRY, better to experience R88 while ~unscarred.. x.x
I agree. Bo Gum is very good looking, but he has a more feminine look to him and comes across as a bit too "pretty"…
I was thinking that it does depend too on which categories one's talking about, ie runway/photoshoots/advertising/etc & I was mostly referring to a combo of the latter types, not just runway stuff, lol. The fact that JGS & also Lee JongSuk & others ~started out in modeling & often mention it in their interviews makes the concept overall more realistic to me. But then I never notice smth like "looks matching certain careers", lol tho hmmm- maybe the reason there's so much less "pretty" male models is cuz the acting world keeps on stealing them all ;P
Well, that— that's a short time to become "friends" with other person. I'm lowkey jealous xD
I've met people in similar ways- sometimes there's someone you just kinda "click" with conversation-wise & end up spending the next 2-12 hours talking to them, lol ;P
riight lol just reading that summary I got flashbacks of other dramas.. u.u
- Idk the name for this trope, lol but "they BOTH like(d) each other yet neither ever actually knew how the other felt because no one said anything for YEARS" is one of THE most frustrating for suure!! >.< #wastedtime
MDL is not really an app itself, it's a ~website for *tracking* your dramas activity, just like https://MyAnimeList.com another big tracking site but for anime, which also ~has a little "mobile app version" to simply access the site on mobile without visiting in a browser, lol. The top *video streaming* services for ~viewing dramas include Viki & Netflix, plus there's some on YouTube & Hulu as well. Then there's iQiyi, which even has "offline viewing" just like Netflix (Viki, Hulu & YT do not). Most dramas are available in those libraries. So to use MDL, just search your favorite series & actors & add things to your lists <3 Hope this helps! & welcome! ^-^
I honestly don't think Hae Hyo looks good with Hye Joon neither. Hae Hyo looks independent. Perhaps, it should…
haha, yes definitely! it's up on Viki, & still the closest we got to a ~mainstream m/m story in Kseries, as I described in the cmts section over there.. it's also the kind that stays with you, & makes you keep wishing for a ~reunion ;P
Why do I have got the feels that he already knows about his mum's acts and enjoys acting as if he don't know :)
That wouldn't really make sense tho because it'd go against his entire reason for being confident- HH's so determined to make it *on his own*, that it's just gonna break his spirit when he finds out that all the progress he made so far was only / mainly because his mother was ~paying for it.. which is exactly the kind of thing that "chaos-thriving" drama writers often go for, to basically set up the story for a big ~fallout btwn them when it happens ;(
I like to think of it as GL. Lol. I'm convinced that they're in love with each other. Hence the title.
(I haven't seen this one yet, but-) any other similar recs? with "potentially-in-love-with-each-other rivals" lol (tho the "cuter" & less angsty, the better) <3
of course nothing will ever top the adorable-yet-frustrating mess that was Girl Meets World (US series) in that category, where the ~coward writers seemed to sabotage the very concepts they themselves brought up, but it came so close! to both f/f *and* poly rep in its genre.. <3 https://youtu.be/0Vrw2FcxMlY
Ahhhhh same. it made me so uncomfortable, mainly because he's such a predator but also because I hate to see this…
Exactly about there barely being anything already, the very least that people in the writing/filming industry could do is TRY to avoid ridiculous stereotypes! ~.~"
