It wasn't "vanity" tho! That wicked villainous adviser had poisoned his ENTIRE FAMILY just so he could groom the young orphan king to be his royal puppet.. the kid basically had his life STOLEN from him & really never stood a chance as the adviser was too powerful & dangerous. A teen ~forced to bear such heavy responsibility since he was barely school age, & all with this adult manipulating him since birth.. how could he kno better until it was too late? Ugh, so tragic. My heart can't handle such extreme angst..

No, it just means he spent 600yrs doing smth else, possibly in purgatory, "hell", etc. The brief glimpse of older king at very end of ep10 shows he grew up to be LDW.. & since reapers tend to look like their most ~recent / last incarnation, it is confirmed, he basically had only that one life & no other previous selves since then. Sunny too tho? Could been living diff lives or "sleeping" centuries waiting for the right one, right time..
