Its a very promising drama, I'll not say all the good things hundreds of people said before me, but as a…
If going by General Kim Shin, the human's age, ie at time of death, he could have been in his own ~20s. He was never confirmed to match the actor's age. Shin in current time tho, gave the # 939 as his immortal age. So, a 920yrs gap.. is still gonna be 920 years when she's 24 & he's 944, haha. Or 32 & 952.. 45 & 965.. etc.

But he's supposed to ~die anyways, so how would a time-jump help when it'd only be delaying the inevitable & prolonging the hurt? (of a doomed love) Unless he disappears ~after they find some miraculous cure (except her thinking it didn't work & that he's really gone, cue 5-10+yrs of angst & moving on).. hmm. This makes my head hurt, lol. xD

I really reallly like goblin but not the main couple... the age gap in the drama is soooo big and uncomfortable..…
That's assuming it's trying to be "sold" tho, when it really is just the opposite; they are merely showing what is happening with two seemingly clashing souls fatefully connecting.. none of it is ~intended to be "paperback romance", lol but rather the start of a meaningful relationship, that ~could be "more" if their lives had been diff / were to go differently. And one that might be special regardless. It takes a while for things to develop. Besides, life chapters can hardly be expected to sync when ~immortality is involved, hehe.

*waves* Maybe it's me being as ~ace as the Doctor, lol (altho not as aro..) but yeah, basically, "ace-shipping" just comes easy to me & still can be quite romantic ;P

Her 18th bday just happened tho (beach scene, in 2016, 18yrs after 1998).

She acts young around him because she has already had to be the mature, quiet reserved one all her life, surrounded by ppl treating her horribly. With him, she is finally free to just be her true innocent, optimistic & quirky self. And he, too after sooo long being stuck in an increasingly weary boredom of existence & inescapable emotional torture, now feels young & awkward again just from being around her.

Just like when the (9th) Doctor met Rose, they are the best thing for each other, at least right now, & there's no need to rush thru cuz they have a lifetime to grow ~together.. xD

The birthday was in 2006, 8yrs after 1998, & 10yrs prior to current scenes, where she is actually 18-going-on-19 & in SK they round up a year or so, lol.

What happened with the aunt?Set them up for jail?
He framed the aunt family with stolen gold (lol, Korean-made, registered to NY bank) then made them all conveniently forget any info regarding EunTak, even her name & their former address, making them all look like loonies so they likely did get arrested.

I'm still curious who the grandma/lady in red is... Her role seems important
A potential deity of fate/birth/life, so higher ranking than lowly "reapers", yes.

So to recap:
~ reaper can see all your past lives thru touch!!
~ makes sense now why he avoids physical contact
~ reaper says reincarnation isn't limited by gender
~ dokkaebi was mourning someone in a field of flowers
~ then described them as representing "lovers" ???
~ reaper sees the ring & instantly gets all teary..
~ how did the queen get the ring anyways? as a gift?
~ dokkaebi regretted being "too late" to the palace
~ perhaps to save the king? from his wicked adviser
~ yet still he resents him centuries later.. hmmm..
~ reaper is easily offended by negative implications
~ is especially distraught at any possible past sins
~ potentially inaccurate promo material implied smth..
~ that in his previous life, he suffered a *betrayal*
~ by the person he "served loyally".. eh? served??
~ so just who is our awkward softie of a reaper..
~ dokkaebi saved a painting of the queen.. hmm??
~ she encouraged him to fight, risking all their lives
~ cuz anyone could tell that was a losing situation
~ so her hands are not as clean as one would hope
~ what would happen if reaper sees that portrait?
~ or if reaper glimpses shopgirl's mystery past??
~ so, what if dokkaebi sees the ring after so long?
~ & best for last: does *reaper* see that sword??

This series has taken over my brain!! @___@

~ bonus: soo.. guardian of souls + angel of death =
guardian/angel ^-^ hmm yess I ship it LOL.. xoxoxo

Why does Goblin keep putting the sleeping bonnet on Death's head?
that's probably also why, haha - the first time, it came with a "grandma" blanket! xD

like he's making him styled up as some kind of old-fashioned elder person, loool..

Love the bromance between Goblin and Death. Funny how Goblin triggered Death's competitive side.
"Do it again, I'll be right behind you this time!" ahaha.. ;P

Someone! Anyone! Please tell me why she had to be in high school. Like as soon as she was born I thought there…
It was not really an "argument", merely ponderance at the claim of it being impossible, when I feel like I have ~definitely seen it before (forced to stay in a bad family past teen years). Just like Cinderella, classic or modern, it's not always an easy escape.

So an older person out of school could still need rescuing, especially if there's negative agendas involved (blackmail, harassment, a bad family could do anything to keep that person around). But yeah, it is more rarely done, in non-Cinderella-type stories. ^-^

How would being older ~automatically make her "financially stable"? Many 20-smth's still live with family into their mid-to-late 20s for that very reason, because they can't afford to get away, etc. (But I personally don't mind the age gap, just the trope itself, lol aka "student + immortal".. kinda feels ~overdone by now; how bout TWO immortals for once? haha)

loool right, couldn't it have been at least 20s / college age, but it was probly cuz they're hoping for that particular demographic as their target audience so gotta give the majority viewers what they can identify with ;P aka female teens who love that immortal trope!
