Word association is up to each individual person, & ~initialisms CAN be created with any name or word. Just because I have another AJ (or Lex, or Claire) in mind, doesn't mean everyone else shd stop using those names, lol. Besides, the more you read them in their context, the more familiar they become, ~as that subject.

Yeah, I tend to avoid the BL genre due to its problematic tropes (X-rated implications / source material, overuse & fetishizing of non-con, etc), especially as an ~ace viewer, so I'm always hoping that a nice, truly innocent & equally awesome same-gender rom-com will finally show up, lol. It did happen- ep03 preview had EunTak telling KimShin to let "reaper" kno she's thankful to him too for also coming to her rescue. But in the ep, that part is cut out.. WangYeo had left them offscreen somewhere along the walk to the restaurant & all KS & ET talk about after the eventful night is bickering whether she's mad at him for smth.

The way EunTak began running all over Quebec is what ~really sparked the comparison for me, lol like a companion who just got teleported to another world or time, not to mention the late return to her "real life", haha. It was basically a first adventure with the Doctor all over again.. minus the typical hostile aliens, anyway. xD (unless a "ghost" counts? haha)
