Well, what reason there could've been, really? Why would someone get him on drugs, when they didn't have a reason, you know? And some people, just like the culprit, simply don't need big reason, they just do it. Better than forced sob story for me. It felt fitting to the drama.

partly yes, he clearly has regrets and I actually think he did care about Yoon Ho and Jong Soo, but it doesn't change he murdered someone and did other bad things, he deserves prison

well, I think it will be addressed, but he didn't forgive him simply for not doing the right thing and betraying their friendship, so there is that, and finding out the truth - well, he didn't really see him for twenty years and he is a detective... so... it's fine if you lack connection emotionally to the characters, but on the other hand, it's crime thriller, not melodrama, they can't be talking about their feelings towards former friend all the time... pretty sure there will be some conclusions to that in the final episode

yeah, some people act as if there aren't maaany couples with same or bigger age gap, as long as the younger is older than 18, no real problem there (especially as she is 25 here)
