to be fair, they could've keep the ML being gay and that being the main cause for bullying, and then keep the bromance between the two - this would be ideal in my personal opinion, but based on these comments, most BL fans want kissing scenes over the actual rep and insight into issues of gay man in society, so doesn't matter much... not all, but most BL fans watch the series for kissing scenes and cheap romance (don't get me wrong, there are some very good BLs and nothing wrong with kissing scenes between two males at all!), but let's be fair here, most are of terrible quality or just pure fluff, where magically everyone including all brothers and friends are gay/bi and noncensual intercourse/kiss is accepted by most

well sorry, but you didn't watch some intense bromance/platonic love then, in most actual BL (unless it's serious/thriller drama) it's basically just odd jealousy and make outs, no real twists and turns - unlike in for example The Devil's Judge - insane chemistry, one can sorta interpret it as possible BL, while getting a quality show

if you actually watch it, you can interpret it as BL just with it confectin and kiss

With Thailand producing soooo many BL dramas, your last sentence seems funny. And okay, you can be mad, but if you watch it, the bromance is so strong, it can be seen as BL. Just without kissing, but if that's what is most important about series to you, sure, don't watch.

truth is, that seems like a strong bromance - in other words, if you think saying "I like you" or a kiss make the series thousand times better automatically, then yeah, you probably watch BL for the wrong reasons

why don't you spit hate on his other dramas? and you can easily skip his scenes... and I don't wanna go there, since it's fiction but rape/non consensual sex is quite common in (Thai) BL and most of the time it's romantized/overlooked...

I think it does get better and there is difference between K-drama and k romcom... there are many dramas with either powerful female character or where abusive relationship, misogyny at work etc. is shown, so just saying, don't like the "K-drama argument", when it's literally linked to just the cliche unrealistic romcoms

it's extremely rare to see a steamy make out/bad scene in "straight dramas" it's extremely common in (mostly Thai) dramas. It's not wrong, but majority of dramas don't focus on the struggles and actual life, but rather kissing and everyone (every brother and friend) being gay, no shade, there are some actually good BLs
