Now it looks like he cheated on FL because he wanted to hurt her, as was so badly hurt, when he found out his daughter isn't his and surely thinks she simply cheated on him. So I can't say he's terrible person only for the cheating, due to these circumstances, let's be fair here. I totally see your point, but I think it was meant in a way, that when someone says they're bipolar, a lot of people think they're literally "crazy" which is not true, that is my take on it, personally. Also, I think he didn't know she was bipolar as he took the meds too and thought she "only" has anxiety/depression.
