I highly doubt it. Not totally impossible, but I honestly think the chance is extremely low. Especially when they showed "it" in the last preview... Also, watch the old trailer, there is short scene at the end, with the FL and ML (happy) that we didn't see yet.

I don't see this as a plot hole. It was likely a secret phone and police believed he didn't have any/other because of his disability. I think in real life, this can easily happen actually.
