Little Yagira is adorable. I’m sure anyone, back then, could tell how much potential that kid had, just by looking at his eyes. They hold so much depth.
The first time I watched this, I hated it. It was also, oddly enough, at some absurd hour of the morning back then, too. Despite the same darkness in my room, I feel entirely different about it. What changed? I'm not too sure. Perhaps I'm more willing to accept that being alive is a mess. Or maybe I had a slice of watermelon that was so watery, it altered the universe and the way I perceive films with shitty characters. Or had I seen too much of myself in it, that first time, and got scared? Ah, just like back then, I need to wake up in the morning.
It's a good movie. Now I need to reread the manga.
This is wonderful???? The cinematography is clearly done with reason, which is refreshing to see. Especially the lighting in the night scenes, it's beautiful.
Praying for a happy end, albeit I feel some of the things which are (supposed) to happen to Yeowoon are unchangeable. He's already very dear to me (with that -100 affection level toward himself, higher than the people who relentlessly harass him). Please take care of him for me, Myungha!!!!!!!!
I finally found a way to watch this movie, and just let me say, how long it took to find it, was worth it. This movie is CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED. It is beloved.
