I see more anti Dunk comments than anything, Rarely anti Joke. He's no Lom in Wedding Plan
I would say watching someone you like (or just a friend in general) eat the same exact thing for weeks on end... you'll prompt them to try something else (out of worry, or just wondering how they're solely consuming peanut butter and jelly). Like going to an expensive restaurant and your friend still orders chicken tenders. I felt like that scene was absurdly placed, because of how real it felt (as most of the show is blatantly stereotypical and plain). I think I've been in that exact situation (down to other people awkwardly watching), and been on both sides of the argument. I like Joke because he's not perfect... he's an asshole when he forgets to put his mask on lol. Nothing wrong with a character being slightly shitty (and doing things with an ulterior motive), like most real people.
Also, I love Joke. One of my favorite characters of the year (not being ironic). Justice for him and this comment section that hates his guts. Joke I will save u
This is a very turn-your-brain-off show. Like a Wattpad story from 2015 (we even have a random crazy ass plotline, because they ran out other things!). And I love it. Not much of anything, but maybe (just maybe), that’s the point.
Contrary to everyone else, I'm still enjoying this show! I enjoy romcom harem manga that are 300+ chapters, so perhaps that is why I still love this show. I can watch these two run in circles for YEARS and not get tired of it.
Sure, Minato is an idiot. But he's not entirely fictional. When you're scared of being comfortable and happy, you run away from it. And Shin loves him despite all of his flaws, the angel that he is. I think if Shin just cried in front of Minato, it would knock some sense into him (although itseems he is getting the sense knocked into him in episode 5). But Shin acts older than he is (so he keeps himself from crying.. but you can tell from his eyes), and Minato, vice versa. Shin wants nothing more than to be seen as someone strong enough to take care of the boy he loves. And Minato, godforsake him, struggles in saying what he actually wants. So it comes out brash, like how he presented himself in high school.
On another note, Asuka is so fucking cute and I want to squeeze him to death.
I seriously love this show with my entire heart, and I don't care what anyone else says. And of course Akira annoys me sometimes, but it's because I would probably react the same way as he does... when you've gone so long without any form of affection, and praying for it, no matter how much you want it, it's scary. Your body reacts before anything else... plus he's a tsundere.
Loved the dialogue, the next episode feels an eternity away already.
