The tonal shift from the first cour to the second was like getting hit by a car (no pun intended). The lighting, the cinematography. Everything about it changed. It hit you in the face suddenly, and it was great. I just really wish they didn't return to the corny structure 10 minutes to the end. If only, if ONLY they stayed with the utter despair (possibly a single ray of hope) the entire way to the end... this movie could have pulled off meaning something.

Stepbrother's Secret Kiss straight up made me cry. It reminded me of a manga by Fumino Yuki, "Saraba, Yoki Hi." You can't stop yourself from falling in love with someone. Plus, the genuine teenage shyness. My favorite episode out of them all, by far.
