binged the second part in a day and i'm missing mu dan and jiang chang yang already!! although it did drag a little this season, I think overall it developed and concluded fine imo. the slow burn was seriously slow burning but i LOVED it! i wasn't expecting all those kisses but hot damn they were good. yang zi and li xian's chemistry never fails and is genuinely the best cp for me. hope they reunite for a third project!! overall, i thoroughly enjoyed the drama. it had emotional depth, female empowerment, a mature and healthy relationship/love, resilience, strong sense of perserverance and righteousness/justice. ost's were beautiful as well!

This was super cute actually, really liked Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino in the remake of What's Wrong Secretary Kim and their chemistry did NOT disappoint in this movie!! Plus I really loved the song Dilaw too, overall romance was great!!

honestly it wasn't that bad. if you want to watch something funny, uplifiting, and silly this would be alright, it was an easy watch! although i did want more romance but what we got was ok too! im used to seeing lee jun young in much serious roles so this was a new side i haven't seen of him! i think he did great.

This was a proper revenge drama and the end result was what was intended and satisfying. Revenge is sweet, I thoroughly enjoyed all 7 episodes!! The range and casting was on point and had me glued to the screen till the end. The ending was bittersweet and poignant. He finally did what he set out to do and grieved his brother before succumbing himself. The tears spilled out 😭 Haven't seen a noir drama for a while and this really set it in for me. So Ji Sub never disappoints in these types of genres and Lee Joon Hyuk was amazing in his role as well, he definitely haunted the narrative. Gong Myung and Choo Young Woo were great too, was interesting to see them in villain/antagonist roles! Overall, 10/10 for me!

Honestly they're such a good duo and do well in genres like this so I'm excited!! Kwak Sun Young is great too!!

They're basically merged, but the difference this time around is that ZM let XXC take the reigns essentially.

Personally for me (after watching quite a few of his projects), this is the best role he's done so far. I think you should continue giving it a try, his character is a green flag in this, nothing like his character in The King's Woman (not to my knowledge that is).

The novel didn't have this storyline with the timelines and everything, but essentially the ending of the novel shows that Demon Lord Zhao Ming and XXC's minds coexist.

Ok, so I finally sat down to binge episodes 32-40. I was initially a bit hesitant in watching the ending, but now that I've seen it, I'm actually alright with it. I have read the novel, and quite frankly the way the last few episodes of the drama and the last few chapters of the novel ended, quite similar in terms of rushness. Only difference is that the author decided to write an epilogue to appease the fans. I would love it if the drama had an extra episode to showcase a bit more of XXC & MXL but I'm good with what we got.

Overall though, I do have to say, indeed the ZM & AZ arc carried on a bit too long for my liking and the ending/plot did raise some questions BUT I think I understand enough of it to be ok with it. I'm also going to assume that ZM & XXC ended up merging since XXC has demonic power and was able to revive the Xuanling tree. I look at it in the way that ZM still exists within but decided to let XXC take the reigns essentially. I was a bit disappointed with the fact that they wrote MXL as someone who only just loves XXC instead of letting her embrace all of him (aka Zhao Ming/Demon Lord) - novel readers will know what quote I'm thinking of - but XXC & MXL indeed has my heart so I'm also ok with the way they handled it. I honestly am just happy they gave us a HE, even if it was a last few minutes of the final episode.

I enjoyed this xianxia greatly and absolutely loved the chemistry between ZBB & SZN (may they reunite in another project in the future! be calm my cp heart). Although the drama had it's flaws, it was done well enough. The entire cast did an amazing job and well wishes to each and every one of them in their future endeavors! I will now put the ost's on repeat as I've been doing for an entire month and perhaps re-reading and re-watching my favorites of the blossoming love <3.

Omg yes! The funniest part of their dynamic is Zhenni saying all the slang and BinBin is like "what??" It is the funniest thing ever but he's definitely caught on now lol

I've watched pretty much every interview and event they did together and they really do have a lot of chemistry with one another. Their dynamic is really funny and cute, I'd love to see them in a modern drama!! I think it'll be a waste of chemistry if they didn't reunite in another project down the road ❤️
