There are three requirements for a successful bug implantation. 1. There must be love in their hearts 2. There must be affection during the implantation (and removal) process 3. The receiver must be willing.
The implantation on CX was not successful because they both had love and affection (from their childhood), but he was unwilling (and unaware), which made it easier for the transfer to XL since he was fully aware and willing to join their hearts and lives.
And needless to say, there’s love and affection between them, whether XY realizes this at the time or not.

I’m so glad YangZi decided to change her usual voice/manner of speech for this role. Normally, I end up dropping her dramas because her characters always seem so ditzy and annoying… and I attributed this to her natural way of speaking/voice. I stand corrected. She is phenomenal here.
