not really, although prince 9 really like her and Prince 5 was almost forced to marry her but her feelings for the QGY is clear and expressed out clearly too. in fact their feelings was sorted quite early on in the drama. The other gal wanted no 7 for her game exit requirement but her heart and feelings were always with prince 1. Prince 7 never make it more clear that all he wanted is SY even when his mother offer him to married Ms Min as the main wife and SY as a secondary wife. he insisted it can only be her and refused to compromise.

it gets better after ep 4 for me. because the plots and love line developed with more logic. Not the crigney, tropey with those accidental kisses and artificial sweeter like smack the two leads together for no good reason. I just find the main leads story sweet. they are in love but not in aforced way and how some dramas make their leads has nothing better to do than in love, this one we can see they dont dump their goals and duties for other things, but through every event and difficult time they find they love each other more.

Never notice this actor Yan Zi Dong but he did well overall in my opinion. He is good looking in a serious way. definitely not the cute boy or white washed face type. i think he has good potential and i think the FL Snow did well too. i am surprise she is THE girls group. compared to Ju jing yi her acting is so much better. hope she gets more roles.

her assistant in real life with Prince no 1. this is a clear love line cp.
prince no 9 with the other maid is a weaker one. prince no 5 seems to hv a special affection with the guard.

in a way but not totally. she was more ruthless in fulfilling the requirement of the game in order to get out. but in the end she understood her true feelings and make peace with herself, Si yan and understood love

yes i was feeling so so sad when he sacrificed himself for her. and it was tough to watch because it wasnt noble idiocrasy, it is necessary. i try to tell myself it is a game and that world doesnt exist. it was a huge dilemma for anyone in the position. for her it was so super clear, she is staying in that world because she loves him. but for him, he knows the world will collapse and everything will gone and she will never wakes up and he loves her more than anything. the love between them was strong and the drama was able to show that, making us wonder if we would have done the same in their positions. So to me, if it makes me wonder what i would do i were her or him, then the love lines is pretty solid.

In the way the ending is a hard to swallow with him dying but it is tied up well intricately. It is necessary she leaves so that the world can be extended (either one of the player must leave) and she did took over the game company and extended the game so that her friend can go on in that world till she chooses to leave. with QGY died, guess eventually the game will be no 1 being the king as there is no other candidate and her friend will be eventually wake up also when he enthroned cause her mission was to marry the heir to the throne. QGY died swallowing the poison that could destroy that world , i guess a virus that could end the game. So it makes sense the way he choose to died.

i believe he is the game developer and QGY is him. he probably write himself into the game as a character that will die on her mission but did not expect a love line to develop. cause the love line was suppose to be No 9 hahahaha..the pink bubbles everything she sees him. Again it kinda of remind us that life is not always how u want it to be and how we plan. humans are real and feelings are real. the ultimate reality is the feelings u truly feel while everything else can be planned and faked. other bigger being can create the game and rules but in the end the story moved because of the feelings and those choices the players made from the thoughts/feelings they have at that point in time not some game developers telling us what to do. So it is interesting ending. but would be nice it the drama can confirm he has the memory of her. that would be perfect.

i went into this drama with zero expectation because i dont know the actresses nor the actor. But i realised the Game butler was the lead from Meet the Dragon. It was more to kill time. And i actually gone through 24 episodes in 2 days. First 3-4 episode were like typical annoying FL and plot was weird. But as the story moves on, i found myself shipping for the main leads and even the side leads. the 2 main leads on screen has a very believable chemistry and some part i actually tear up for them. The good thing they dumped 24 episodes one go with u can watch wo subs. I also enjoyed the colour palette and the costumes. compared to some similar genre with weird pink/blue uniforms, this one looks richer and better quality. and because it is a game based drama, it is expected there is many cgi. the actors acting of course feels young but i think they did a good job, esp the main leads with the game butler. try it i would say. u have to sit through the first say 5 episodes of very confusing plot cause it deals with VR. And they did close the ending properly with most things properly explained.

totally agree. the other 3 just did not have the same feel. doctors and musician still not bad. Shaung and Doctor Ma ke is very pointless, in fact she is getting on my nerve. xiao lei if she start with the cheater ex bf of xia yan...it will be bad to watch too. really want to ff their scenes. but unfortunately some episode the main lead only get like 5 min screen time.

normally i dont bother to do comments unless i really like the drama. but here i really cant stand looking at the cheater ex boyfriend of Xia Yan. OMGGGGG he is so selfish and spoilt and self justifying to a point that he successfully turn himself into a victim. The lady CEO is indeed a smart woman, calling off when she see that he is not a real deal. And XY is so smart too. she could see all the loopholes in the things he claimed. Now he has nothing to blame but start calling that the whole society has look down on him and cause him to be the way he is....I could not find the right terms or emoji to express how disgusting that jerk is. In fact i really feel like FF all the episodes with him in it.

Xiao Lei is really not any good as well. she is going all starry eyes over the cheater guy. it is so illogical she thinks the bookstore designer guy has too much background because he has a son and ex wife. So she could not handle complicated relationship but she doesnt think falling for ur bestie cheating ex is complicated?!!!. too me that is 100X more complicated. Her brother i can only roll my eyes every time he comes on the scene. guess it is the family thing. They value face, money, status more than anything else.

To me Xia Yan and Xu Cheng Yi track is the best. but there are some episodes both hardly get 5 min screen time. Doc and musician is not bad but not very interesting. Shuang and Doctor Ma ke are just two clowns here but her character does get on my nerve. Wish they can concentrate more on the two main leads.

She so far up to ep42, call him xu lingyi twice. Full name haha...usually means trouble haha... Ya it would be nic3 she call him xiang gun (hubby). Maybe its the protocol. His mum call him houye too. Yier is his mum madame xu calling him that once in a while. I never heard tsy or shiyi call him that though.

I dont know why but i love the slow burn of beginning till ep 36. love the small small gestures between the leads and how things beautifully developed between them even though driven by plots. now suddenly things are happening so fast and i feel stressful to see the leads been thrown so many things at a time.

To me, i start to suspect her when she accidentally say to qiao that dongching took the wrong flowers plant that is not good for pregnant woman. it was like a hint to qiao. 2nd lead is the accidental stabbing of houye. ou received message of houye is hurt and gone on that trip, i know someone is a mole d. only few people knows he is injured. and when madame xu interrogate them, she was so smart that she trigger wen to say it was shiyi who hurt houye. and when they came back, wen was so worried but she was not and she says i never say anything. to me that confirms her sneakiness.

since qiao lian fang until the now ep 42...this scriptwriter just played with the same tricks. 1. divorce agreement 2. pretend they fall the enemies trick to trap the enemies. 3. every single bad thing under the sun has to do with xianlingge even the finale prison scene its xianlingge again. i am beginning to wonder if the writer has a grudge with that workshop hahaha.....but it is just plain lazy writing.

I am not very good with translation but in the chinese it is so beautiful. and singer did a great job with her powerful voice.

hahaha i even pity qiao lian fang. and by ep 41 u will pity the men too...cause u get a feeling that their existence is also to sow seeds and have children too. and they cant even choose who want to marry as well.

Hi. to me it is about two persons finding love and partnership in one another and it was their journey. there are plots to drive their relationship from not liking one another to having a deep love and trust for one another.

The schemes are not nail biting vicious and it is not fully concentrating on women fights but a big part is about the male journey to lift the maritime ban in the actual ming dynasty and he was against some very major antogonists the ou family. she was implicated many times as his wife. so it is a love story developed through hardship and tribulations caused by external forces and schemes.

Arc 1 say ep 1 to 6 is about background of story, who is who, and how the leads where schemed by his dying wife to marry her sister (our female lead). So it is like why they married.

Arc 2 say ep 7 to 10 is newly married life. they dont have feelings for each other but both do their obligations. but his interest in perked by her caused she talked back and razored him on occassions. he was also trying to give her support and dignity that is accorded to his main wife, and start to get rather protective over her. but he certainly doesnt love her then, just find her differently.

Arc 3 ep 11 to 22 a lot of inner courtyard scheming due to his qiao concubine and some schemes from ou. they started to respect, like each other and towards 22. male lead fully acknowledge his feelings for her. he is already fully in love with her by then while she took a liking to him but she is more like i am doing my job and very efficient at that.

Arc 4 ep 23 to 34 he started wooing his wife in a very cute way. again with inner courtyard scheming many of ou moves for the male leads, she fall in love with him and only really know her feelings but she unfortunately she was lead by ou family for suspect him (angst for 2 episodes) as her mum murderer and accidentally stab him. They reunited in 30 but whilst he loves her, he is unsure of her feelings for him and her on the other hand loves him but did not voice her love, she keeps telling him she feels bad hurting him and thank him profusely whenever he is good to her.

Arc 5 ep 35 till now. finally their feeling voiced and love consummated and both are strongly trust and love one another. more tribulations and trails to come their way but it will be them fighting together. in fact most part of the show except for 28-29, they are always an united front.

this is how i see the drama. hope it helps u to like it too. cause i enjoyed tremendously this march with this drama.

it will be good dont worry and i rewatched those scenes 2 x because it was very sad for qiao. i do end up pitying her. actually madam xu already start seeing qiao character around ep 24 and she started treating shiyi better. that is what send qiao on a final crazy scheme. she knew lingyi and his family including 5th brother and sister in law are with shiyi di.
