so hard to wait for the updates. arrrggghhhhh...

now suddenly i wish there is 40 episodes cause there really seems to be a lot need to happen plot wise. there is a scene she was tortured by YL and he swopped in to carry her out and i wonder which will happen first. he hurt or she hurt.

i know right.... c drama loves to do that....so much problems and half episode of HE. hate that...why can they understand a proper well explained ending makes the dramas perfect.

I think there is a scene in recent episode that LY mentioned to his sidekick that QY will not wallow in self pity by not eating and live poorly hahaha....he knows her and in a way trust that she will always climb on top. but the situation when she get listed as one of the gals must have gotten him so worry he rushed in without a thought. even qy was pick YL to give the pouch to because she understand LY must not show that she is his weakness.

totally agree. really a perfect match!! i so enjoyed how both can be so forthright with one another. it is like i know u too well till u no need to hide ur thoughts or feelings at all.

actually life is really throwing many curve balls at the FL. the latest blow is even after her father case is settled, the ladies still have hope to get out if someone officially purchased them as servants. which the ml is arranging already. but the damn YL make it impossible. the order was made that the qiu crime is so hideous that they can only leave that place upon death. that is like killing all hopes. it is enough to crash everyone spirit. so i guess her reaction is like so be it. i just neeed to do what i need to do now to survive and help the famiy to survive in that environment. hopeless state.

The ML is really hot....his voice and expression are all like wow.....love his acting especially when he found out she was a little the gal he save. that face literally spells out like darnnnnn...what have i done and omg my and my big mouth when he reflect back on what he has said to her previously. Love how he is so full of expressions unlike many c drama mls who does the stone face act hahaha....here is clever, opportunist, cunning and cold but yet so likeable hahahaha......love jeremy jones xu from this drama for me!!!!

ML is a good friend like a childhood friend of 2nd ML. they are both son of nobles but ML inherit the title of marquis already since his father had died 6years ago. as for the bad guy Yuan lang, he is just an official who hated the ML because few years back when both were in charge of different criminal departments, ML found evidence of YL bad deeds which he claimed was faked by the ML. YL was thus expelled from his position and send away from the capital. he only came back when the emperor wanted to balance ML power. ML is in charge of a department that resembles corruption bureau. his job is to catch corrupted officials. so he is very feared and hated among all the court officials. def not ur popular guy.
So if u r referring to YL, they are not related.

YEs grandma spill all the secrets to QY and asked to take care of all the ladies of the household after she died. QY 's actual mother is the concubine and she was raised by the main wife, which we all know as her mother. the mother family was expelled from court and exiled when Wei grandpa spoke up against building of more temples. the mother original name was Wei and later change to Han. Wei grandpa and qiu grandpa are good friends. so when QY mother escaped from exile, she seeked helped from qiu. Grandpa qiu took her and her brother in. the monk was the brother. She took a different identity and married QIu yan dad. this secret the qiu kept if found out will get execution penalty cause it is about harbouring criminals and cheating the emperor. when the secret was getting unwrapped at the monk side (another monk found out the secret). QY father wanted the mum to fake death and send her into hiding. Mum being a kind and noble person decided that it is only a real death that will not bring any dooms to the qiu. she in fact commit suicide but grandma did helped by giving her enough of red flower medicine. but she drank it herself. i found this part of story really sad. QY mother and father do love one another despite their marriage was an arranged one with Dad do previously in love with another lady. it is so difficult to love and cannot go all the way out because of the secret. For now Qiu males are all exiled as the father was accused of corruption as he works for the ministry of works. the accusation was plan by YL to not let Liang yi married a qiu gal and create alliance between Qiu and Liang. so qius are basically embroiled in the political struggles between Liang yi and yuan lang.

Looks like ML has already fallen in love by 18. his protectiveness is not fully about guilt of him being the real reason Yuan lang is after the Qiu family. he really understand and care about her like forcing feed her with soup when he realised she has lost weight, ran straight to the brothel when he got wind that she is accepting customers.... by ep 23 trailer, he acknowledged his feelings for her to the 2nd ML.

What i love about this drama is ML and FL are always so upfront with one another...all their good and bad characters are like shown to one another. he doesnt try to hide his thoughts and neither does she. so refreshing to see!!!!

from trailer 19 to 24 looks like a lot will happen on the relationship front. But anyone like me wish the leads can confirm their relationship by 24. cause the total ep is 34 i really cant wait for a confirmation for another week. it is obvious on his part already but for now it doesnt look like she is harbouring any love interest in him or anyone for that matter, which is logical since she has a lot on her plate. wish she will fall in love with him soon. he is so hot!!! ahahha

the only reason it is easier for ML to take her a secondary wife is because he is the already the marquis . basically he is the head of his household and the authority of his manor while 2nd ml is still under his father authority. yes def marrying her is to get her out of the brothel so they can do further investigation. that is the only hope to overturn the case. but ML can do it with more ease.
Btw wife will be taken with all the tradition and procedures. while concubine does not necessary get a wedding even. but we can see that ML accord her like a wife. the household is calling her Little Fu ren. there is no way a concubine can be call her furen. only main wife can be referred to as Fu ren. concubine are referred as Yi nian. if male lead household is strict about it she will be called qiu yi nian.

in fact in those society, 2nd ml and ml are both from noble families. 2nd ml father is a duke and ml is a marquis family. so there is no way now that any of these guys can make her the main wife given her family is short of being executed. she is considered as daughter of a guilty officer. send to a govt brothel as a punishment. nobility is very strict with main wife position. concubines they can take almost anyone. main wife no.

yeah she is too blunt and forthright. but no one who have guess there is a lot more than meet the eyes. surely there is a deeper secret esp the 4th aunty can use it against grandma to that extent. my guess is it has something to do with that.

i think not fully. she was accusing her father right before the family got punished. after that everyone is in a turmoil. so it is still left unexplained. but prob there is a deeper secret but as surface as she thinks.

hehehe....trailer 21 his my mum says Yuan lang and his team are coming to congrat u about taking a concubine (secondary wife). and QY comes to greet the mil with an address of herself as concubine. and trailer 22 the maid knocking on the door says water are ready for master and little mistress hahahaha,,,so ya she is his secondary wife already by ep 21. prob how it ended in ep 20 when they were caught in the very compromised position.

Love how the drama makes these two leads totally shameless opportunists in such a comedic way. they are just perfect for each other. i feel the 2nd ml is like a lamb among if he ends up with QY.

In trailer 20 i think QM wanted to leave or maybe commit suicide. QY left the brothel to look for her. because that is like the govt run brothel for fallen official families, it is just a gentler version of a women prison. so she was not suppose to step foot out of the place. she left and it is considered an escape. Yuan lang hot on the heels to catch her and want to blame LY who seems to keep her. so they put up an act of her being another person. and i think maybe LY will claim is his concubine not QY. don know how they pull that off. So she end up being his contract concubine esp when his mother and everyone in the county knows he took himself a secondary wife. even he doesnt have a official wife. their status will not allow her to the marquis official for now.

I m loving the drama so far. Love the fact the development of the romance is logical n reasonably paced. Not the forced it down the audience throats with them doing all the troupey stuffs for no reasons.

Like u alo i m so curious if they will marry. From the trailers i saw there is a point the fl family will be in trouble due to her father being framed n all the ladies
will be send to some
camp. Actually she will change name to su yi wan n live in a dance entertainment (a milder version of a brothel). Anyone has any idea on the story coming up?
