i think none of audience will say she is wrong she want to pursue her dreams. negativity comes about in the timing and the way she does it. right after the guy who obviously care about u a lot do a birthday surprise for u, make u a book and tell u, he want to spend all ur future birthdays with u , she turn around and say i am leaving. and the way she put it is ....i am free now...no concern for anything or anyone. no one to tie me down. ouch ouch ouch. even in modern world, we only do that to ppl we really have no interest at all in and we kinda know they are interested in us and we dont want to lead them on. it is that logic that don sit well with most ppl here i guess. too sudden!!
no doubt he never confess and even SJ tell him he must confess and he must express. and i agree that is significant move in any relationship progression. LY did not try hard enough in that sense. i concur.

And even as a modern lady with a career, i still think there is a balance we need to strike between dreams/career and family and love ones. it take strength, courage and determination to choose what to give up and most ladies will try to strike a balance. Say if u have a good relationship (maybe with ill or older parents, maybe with a good bf or hubby and sometimes also children) suddenly this wonderful career opportunity to go somewhere for a few years, the best is communicated and find a balance. no matter how independent thinking and modern, i thinking packing our bags and just leave will not be the right solution. if we turn it around and our love ones did it to us...how would we feel right.

exactly. and also QY understands LY so well all these while. all this little actions she can read and suddenly she doesnt totally cannot see his feelings for her. logic flew out of window again. if she can see and knew about it and yet right after the sweet birthday surprise and birthday commitment he gave her, she says bye bye to him...isnt that totally mean. no logic to write QY character like that right. she does that to QX and we all say because she at the bottom of the heart never loves him. but with LY she loves him right.

this is one of the best commentary i read after watching ep 28. to the point and precise. i also think it is very bad writing. the illogicalness of the event is glaring. the disparity of it is so bad because it happen in one single episode.

first half she is crying and recollecting their moments together and saying to him i have so many things i want to say to u and i will be your wife from now on, i am not going anywhere. next half she happily declared she is leaving and smiling so happily when she tell him he can divorced her or they can quarrel and do another show like everything is a joke. i think if they have done it in such a way that she honestly tell him she has feeling for him but she need to sort herself out and find out what she truly wants and maybe just leave for a while...it may be so bad taste like u say.

Say if a guy declared to me even though i am semi conscious how he felt about me and how in love he is with me. and next thing i know he says he declared he cannot settle down, he need to go for good because the outside world just too attractive...huh???!!!!. it will be like a knife piercing into my heart. So LY reaction was so reasonable. he cried. he is heartbroken. i feel disturbed even right before bed. With a drama that has given so much enjoyment factor, it is just nose dive.

Guess c drama just doesnt have writers that understand it is so important to have logic. audience can understand BE or angst but it must be execute with some acceptable logic.

he is so relentless..i get tired of just watching him trying to so persistently. he is just obsessed with LY. and even the emperor enauch can tell...he says to emperor 'official yuan think everyone is court troublemaker'

Its in episode 28. He woke up n asked her does she mean it. He initiated by lacing his fingers with her. He initiated the almost kissing moment. N over lunch she says she will stay with him through thick n thin n otw back to their room he asked her if she mean it. All those moments she just skipped by talking nonsense like u r hallucinating, that's shu yi wan talking etc. The birthday moment when he said if u r willing i will like to spend every birthday from now on
w u. She didnt answer him again . Come on yes it is fair to say that he still need to confess but it is not true she doesn't know what he mean. Like sj says ly eyes expression for qy is as clear as anything. So gentle u cam squeeze water or so sparkly u can light a fire.. Even the most acknowledged deadwood head as they say sj is can tell.

She knows but looks like she just not into put priority into any relations
hip like she says to qx previously. It is not about her overstaying her welcome. It is simply a decision she made.

First you scream how much u care for this man. Tell him u want to be his wife forever. She gave him false hope like she did to qx. Then after acting like she is so touch w his birthday gift. She just say i m getting out of here. Bye. Is ok if she has no idea about his feelings. Is ok if she doesnt know her own feelings. But to say i m getting out when u know exactly how he feels n she knows her feelings for him is ruthless m selfish. My
poor heart bled for him!!

If she truly understands LY, she will understand his love n her dream has no contradiction. It doesnt hv to be either or. He will support her n let her run wild while he makes it safe for her. He says so in ep 28. He thought he can make her the most free noble lady in town. Free to do whatever she wants in a safe n worry free environment. Good lord where can u find a mam like that his thinking is totally modern in accepting she has ambition. N i m sure mil will be supportive too. That is why the writer just gone haywire w their writing.

That bit as u describe will be grand finale bad. But ep 28 is totally illogical. U don feel deeply for someone n tell him u canmot bear to lost him n his home is the best thing ever in ur life. N then after receiving a lovely present n that someone telling u he will like to spend every birthday of urs w you n next u tell him u love the world more n decide to leave. Illogical n just so bad taste.

If the writer thinks they want to nake qy a modern women thinker with independent thinking. This action of hers is not giving right message. U cant make a lady look good by showing her giving up love n family to chase her
ambitions. Modern women balance love, family n career. If they show her chasing her writer dreans while staying on w her love ones, that is modern thinking. This just made her look so selfish n ruthless when she knew exactly how he feels about her. Almost a qx repeat again. Use u n bye bye.

Worst kinda ending with both looking at each other, smile n nothing said n finished. Yeap leave us make our own assumption kinda stupidity.

Dont watch. Will leave a bitter taste.. May as well stop at 27. Or middle half of 28.

Omg. From ur description, i will stop watching for now till all ep are out n ending is clear. If really her intelligence dropped to that level, look that the script crashed. Then just too bad. I give up. Waste of two beautiful actors n fantatic cp chemistry n good acting. Look like the scriptwriter got sick n someone else took over in ep 28.

Totally feel u. For me even a HE (even if it is it will be rushed n short) cannot save this turn of event. Bitter n bad taste. Scriptwriter u just completely kill the enjoyment factor of this drama.

i thougth he purposely get angry with her and get her to leave him because because of impending danger. i never never never thought she wanted to leave him.

looks like they really like to do a rating crash. by doing a script like this in the last 6 episode. horrid!!! i just pity the actors. perfect chemistry and good look and acting. but shitty script. what a waste

literally 28 and they are splitting instead after she declared her love for him. u are right..ep 28 QY truly pissed me off. it just feels so selfish. u still can be a writer whilst married to him. with a hubby and mother in law like that, she can just do anything she wants. Please be reminded also that all her investigation experience has him in it. come on QY. come scriptwriter!!!!

i am so emo with this episodes. pissed. i may just stop watching till we get the full 34 and confirm ending. otherwise i may as well stop here and think of them as together after his injury.

i rewatched most of the recent episodes like 3-4 x. because that is just so sweet and good. and now with 27 and 28 i have no mood to look at them again. really a mood killer.
