Actually I think what disturbed me w the ly n css relationship is I want to see lby doing something about it. I mean he is intelligwnt, ruthless in war and knows what is strategy is all about.. Instead of looking so miserable n thinking of how css does not men with blood stink on their hands. I think will make the story more meaningful n even hilarous if he will do something about it.. Can't agree more. The way emperor n lby banter with each other, their relationship is strong. Lby is even daring enough to hi, saying if u force another gal like the County Princess on me again, I will leave and go to the border n 'find'wars to fight and get myself kill. Haha.... Ly n css feels like 2 high school kids. It give a vibes of puppy love. N css think that love is someone who brings u food n feed u (the poor gal has been so deprived of food all those years) and good luck (such low self esteem). If both are born in peaceful time n from simple family wo any responsibility, it may work out fine. But in time of turbulent n being born in general n Court official family, with the prestige comes the responsibility. U need a strong character to pull through many trails n tribulation in lifes. Guess that is what css mum wants for her daughter. Ly is good n kind but not for csss. To mum, css is so unruly n free spirited she actually need someone smart, strong to be protecting her yet love her enough not to curtail her spirit. Honestly YS would hv been a much better choice. I think YS is smart enough to be a match. Not ly. He is too simple n kind. We already see he bend the moment css mum ask him to leave. I don think lby n ys will do that n her mum will be polite w them.
Interesting how lby n ys witness ly n css moment together. Both are smart enough tell that ly is not just a friend. N both prob get a feeling of css slipping away.

Ly eldest uncle is a renowned scholar n his title is tai fu which technically always says teachers to the emperor n princes. Looks like their family as a whole is prestigious but ly father is the second son n die young. That is why ly branch of family has his own eldest brother struggling to hold up their branch. From the previews it looks like their branch (ly mother, brother n ly himself) are being consistently bullied.

In an interview among the casts, we lei mentioned that lby mind, energy n focus n in fact his entire life is about finding out the truth on his family massacre. N revenge. Css is not in his plan. This gal is a total off chart for him but she is like a light in his dark world. I think his mind tell
him to keep a distance but his heart keep tugging him.

Birds are trained for specific flying routes. The emperor n his entourage is on a tour to the Shu state. Meaning the other side is on the move. Doubt the bird is trained to smell the emperor like dogs.

i was impressed that wu lei did most of the fighting and riding scene himself. no doubles and it was real, not cgi. those cgi and slow motion is so typical in c drama. it looks cool but required no skills from actor except for post production editing work. So lets at least appreciate the fact the actor did action himself.

wow sounds so complicated just reading all these. i really hope there is some changes to make it less angsty and sweeter. hoping for a easier watch. i believe some changes was made. eg there was no him saving her from the falling burning rack. and there is no meeting lou yao on the same night as meeting lby and ys in novel. i believe there will some speeding up in the drama.

my ??? is will part 1 just end with their engagement and the development of the relationship.

I honestly hope they will as skip the engagement w Yuan shen in the drama. Cause they really felt like friends. A great friendship will be better than anither love interest. N it is hard to imagine if her love for lby is so strong she would choose to be engaaged 3rd time. W lou yau it is still understandable because he express interest n proposed first. N she got engaged wo realising what exactly is love.

In the trailers there is a bedroom scene of lby n css wearing bedroom gear n she play flute n he stared at her. Then they kissed. Any chance the script is changed to them married? I mean can't imagine they can do that by being just engaged. Instead of epilogue married like novel. In novel I heard she was to be engaged 4 x. Second n final being lby. Anyone has any idea?

Ya... N lou yau is also taking a lot of initiative by following her. N he proposed first. While lby from start till now seems to be very focused on his tasks in hand.. Which is very good. It makes lby a very capable busy person who is just not into chasing gals. I mean character set up is logical unlike some c drama where the ml is written as smart n capable but doesn't seems to need to work hahaha. Still it make us so worry for him. Ur gal is slipping away under ur eyes, lby. hurry up!!!

I really like the scene where css wanted to kill those rebellion army. After the assistant remind lby it is a taboo to kill surrender soldiers. Css says I will do it. I mean wow.... Which gentle lady would even say that. N no so call gentleman nor nobleman can accept a gal like that. But he look impressed. The assistant too. N when css guess the reason behind the events. Lby assistants look so impressed til jaw dropped. Haha... That scene she totally look like a general wife beside him wanting to execute those men. Lby n css are just perfect for each other. No wonder lby is totally smitten w her. Both are super intelligent, can be scheming n ruthless but fierce n loyal to those they love.

Let's hope it is over by 18. Can't wait another 5 days to ep 19. I really hope lby do something behind the scene to get the girl.

Ep12 is such a good build up for the main love line. Feels like a cold basin of water thrown in face for her to get engaged w lou yau.

Looks like wu lei does most of the riding? Seems to be a lot of direct shots on him on horseback. So nice to watch. The other actor who does riding n looks good doing it is Wallace chung..
