Oh, so after 3 episodes in, I was wondering why am I watching this? It's an all around 4 out of 10, low/no budget, sub par acting, amateur writing and the NC scenes are cringy. So, again, why am I watching it? Somehow, Min U's character crawled under my skin and thanks to the actor, even though he's acting is a bit awkward at times, he still makes you feel all kinds of emotions! Actually, the awkward acting fits perfectly the role, and Cho Myeong Gyun's eyes are doing all the work for him! The fear, longing, hope, desire, the hurt and the betrayal are all in there and I'm hurting with him! Since the episodes are only 10 minutes long, I can endure this slow-mo trainwreck (you know the one that you can't look away from), just for those expressive eyes of him! Maybe I need a new hobby or a therapy? Both? π€£
hey can you please suggest me some good xianxia with demon male lead? i have watched the most common/famous ones…
As I've said before, it's not easy to find older xianxia dramas, especially the ones that are not as well and still available on streaming platforms, not to mention having adequate ENGSUB. So far I found 2 on my list that are still available on main platforms now, but I'll keep checking and if I find more I'll post it for you! I don't know if you have seen these ones yet, but if not, give them a try!
In 'Love's Better Than Immortality' Li Hong Yi absolutely nailed his role and of course, Zhao Lu Si never disappoints! In 'The Legends' the demon is the gentle kind, but the story is great and Xu Kai and Bai Lu needs no selling points!
Love's Better Than Immortality (2019) Zhao Lu Si, Li Hong Yi available on YOUKU
The Legends (2019) Bai Lu, Xu Kai available on iQlYl
I'll be honest, until ep. 10 I wasn't really invested in season 2, because I didn't feel like I was watching a dating show. Even though Izaya and William left the show as a couple, I'm still worried about Izaya getting hurt, and I'm hoping that I was wrong about William and if his parents disapprove of whom he wants to be with, he won't abandon Izaya! The last 3 episodes packed a lot of punches from Kazuyuki leaving to reconcile with his ex to Huwei falling for Bomi and coming out to his mom and the impact that it had on him and Bomi and they're crying together, through Jobu's mom showing up all loving and caring and bringing food for all the boys to an unexpected conflict between Hiroya and Tomoaki which thankfully got resolved! Then, Huwei's grandma died and he had to leave for the funeral! Last, but not least Taeheon got his dance-card double signed by Jobu and Hiroya and he'll have to decide who's getting the next tango with him! (Yeah, since '10 Dance' aired I can't resist making related metaphors π) Last season he was like a big brother to everyone and now he's got a love triangle on his hands! Of course, now I'm all in and very excited to see it through to the finish line!
Why is it that it's the shows that people dump on and gripe about that I have the most fun watching? I don't know…
I completely get what you're saying! I'm an older person too and process things similarly to you. Indeed, life is very short and wasting time on hating things like a BL series is really not a smart thing to do!
Here we go once again! I'm genuinely amused by all the negative comments for 2 reasons!π€£ First of all, if you accidentally stumbled upon this BL and after the first 10 minutes of the first episode you kept watching it, you either secretly enjoyed it and that made you feel guilty, or you are the type of masochist who first takes the pain willingly without a safe word, than wondering how did you get hurt. There's no other rational explanation for you taking the time to come here and complain about this series! Second, maybe you are a card carrying member of the morality/prudence police, and it is your sacred duty to let the rest of us know that in your eyes, probably we are just some pitiful, lost souls who have no standards, so you could feel superior and pretty good about yourself! I am very sorry to disappoint, but for those of us, who will keep watching this series, negative comments are just a fuel for hilarity, because the moment you take these type of steamy BL series seriously and being up in arms about it, the joke is on you! Yes it's raunchy, yes it has a very weak plot, yes it's part AI, yes the acting is sub par, yes the dialogue is a bit cringy, but so what? Unless someone is forcing you to watch it (which is a crime, punishable by law, so call the real cops ASAP!), why can't we enjoy it? May I point out a friendly reminder? This is only harmless entertainment! Just IMHO of course! See you guys next Tuesday! P.S.: Is anyone else suddenly started thinking about getting some peach/nectarine at the next grocery run? π€£

I'll be happy to do so, the only question is how long have you been watching Xianxia, so I will know how far back should I check my list. Also, some of the older Xianxia are no longer available on any streaming platforms, so I want to make sure that I only recommend those that you could watch without any hassle.
Oh, man I can't get enough of this type of K-dramas! Sharp writing, superb acting and being just enough of a brain-tickler without feeling overwhelmed! Also, I'm happily joining to the "Han Yeong and the Ex needs a new dance card too" club! The first time around their marriage was strictly business without any feelings, but now, she's already smitten with him and the crackling chemistry between them is absolutely delicious! Yes, I know that the possible romance angle is only optional and the series is pretty awesome as it is without Cupid's intrusion! Still, the interactions between those two adds extra spice to their characters that would be a crying shame to let go to waste! Just IMHO of course!
I should've dropped this series, but I really, really loved the second couple and the cute child actors, so I stayed with it. HUGE mistake! Lots of people already posted spoilers without hiding it, so the cat is out of the bag so to speak, but just in case that you stumbled upon my post and want to avoid knowing the details of ep. 8 please move onto the next post!
SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!
OK, to be fair upfront, this is NO cool-headed, subjective/rationalized review of episode 8th, but me being mad as Hell and need to went my frustration! For the love of everything that's Holy, why in the bloody blazes they had to needlessly/uselessly kill Don? Moreover, if they had to go for the maximum emotional damage nose-dive, how could they fu** it up so badly? Oh, and don't even start with me on the ludicrously revealed/explained "reason" for Akin ghosting Than! What's even more disturbing, is that during filming, not a single person from producers to actors to the director himself reading this "script" and went, 'Excuse me! Who wrote this pile of steaming excrement also known as episode 8?'! Even if I'm willing to forget and forgive the numerous previous problems I've had with the writing and the mediocre acting from the lead couple, the so called professionals should've raised the alarm much sooner and demanded a new script for this episode! I know it's only a BL and not a Shakespeare drama! Also, in the last 15 years I've suffered through plenty of natural fertilizer-grade BLs to keep my expectations in check. Nevertheless, there are times when I just cannot stomach such idiotic writing any longer, especially when I'm so invested in the parallel story of the supporting cast, who should've been the main couple from the get go! Some people think, that there will be a twist and Don is not really dead, but even if that's the case, judging by the "writing" so far, I'll bet you it will turn out to be another huge pile of biohazard! Not that I'll be stupid enough to sit down for ep. 9 next week to see it myself! I'll check back on you here, all you brave, masochist souls who would willingly subject yourselves to some more temporary brain damage! Good luck!
It's mighty hard to hold out until tomorrow so I could watch both new episodes together! It's only 10:50am on a Friday morning and I'm already on pins and needles and don't know what to do with myself!π It's a pity, that after decades of watching Asian dramas, I still haven't mastered the art of patience! Fighting!π€£
OMG!π±ππYunjae πππ± It should be illegal to be that adorable and sexy at the same time! He's like a breathing, walking, talking lethal weapon of shy cuteness, who should be carrying a permit and a warning label to avoid making people faint dead away on the spot! I know, it's only the first 2 episodes and a lot could go wrong, but if he has no blood-relation to Hua Yong, I cannot believe that he would be anything else than a huge green flag all the way! He is my absolute favorite of this season and I'll be rooting for him and cheering him on no matter what! Naturally, I wish all the best for every single cast member and hopefully the second round of new beginnings will turn out better for the 8 returnees! P.S.: Judging by the reaction of all the guys, I think the catfish could be a celebrity or someone from one of the previous seasons!
If I may, I would like to offer a friendly warning without any spoilers to those who are thinking about watching this series! It's only IMHO of course, but it might help you keep your sanity and save your precious time for something much, much worthy than this dubious "production"! As far as this series goes, imagine getting lost inside of a tormented, guilt ridden queer philosopher's mind while he's tripping on some shrooms! It's like grabbing a petri dish and mixing together all the big issues and questions of mythology, religion, science, human nature in it, and sprinkle it with some sex , shake it well and inject it into your brain! If I say, that this series is disturbing in so many levels, it's like stating that the ocean is wet! Just do yourself a favor and run in the opposite direction from this psychedelic abomination as fast as you can!
Have you actually watched this show? The last 5 min of episode 6 was anything but lighthearted..I'm very confused…
I think, if your original post didn't lack constructive criticism that is backed by a well reasoned, expert, fact based argument, I wouldn't assumed that you are just a troll! I love reading all intelligent criticism, because it's respectful to all who worked very hard to produce this series and it leads to a dialogue between people of different taste and ideas. Naturally, you are entitled to your opinion as such, but I'm also free to use Hitchen's Razor to judge your comment! Cheers!
if you donβt need a plot you can just watch porn
Not really! It's like when a kid goes puddle hopping in a rain and he/she is just having a blast splashing all that water around, then someone comes along and tells the kid to jump into the lake instead, because there's much more water to work with!
