It's only the first episode and I'm way too emotional and stressed out! I don't think I'm emotionally stable enough (thanks 'To My Shore' for ruining me!) to watch poor Phoon getting put through the wringer from the get go! I mean, can't we just get eased into the bubbling lava of soul crushing pain instead of a drop kick? Abused and traumatized childhood is bad enough of a starter, but piling on a dead sister topped with a self-blaming survivor's guilt, insomnia, nightmares and abandonment issues is a wee bit much for just the first episode don't you think? Oh, let's not forget the eating disorder and the kneejerk reaction lying part, sprinkled with an ongoing LINE chat scam with his savior/ hero/childhood bestie and the secret love of his life! All that crammed into 45 minutes! No wonder that I'm bloody exhausted already! Someone just hand me a hankie please and lets suffer together!
I'm so worried that YY will get really hurt, because she is all in, all sincere and really likes BH! If I could give BH an advice, I would say that love that could truly last a lifetime shouldn't feel this desperately painful, especially not from the second time around! Hurting that much from the get go even after years being apart should be a huge red flag! Their first time around was a hot mess to begin with that shouldn't be "rewarded" with a round two! Just IMHO of course!
I’ll keep saying this To My Shore is one of the best BLs i’ve seen in my 15 years of watching asian BL. Hands…
I'm totally with you on that! I've been watching BLs for over 15 years as well and this series is beyond anything that I've ever imagined in my wildest dreams of what a true BL masterpiece could be! As far as toxic relationship trope goes this is the ultimate level that won't be reached for a very long time if ever!
I just have to say it again: This series is one of the best BLs I've seen in a decade! It is mind boggling to me how shockingly underrated this masterpiece is! Yes, you've read it right, it is a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned! The storyline, the acting and the production are all in the highest quality and I know that I'll be rewatching this many times over! If you value deep, meaningful plots that would move you and stays with you long after the credits rolled this series is for you. Not a wasted moment, no cliches, no fillers, no gimmicks! Raw emotions, realistic scenarios and thought provoking subjects. If you're into BLs only for pretty boys and NC scenes, you should move on to a different series! and The same goes for those younger audiences too who's not ready to step up from the cute schoolboy plots just yet either! For everyone else, do yourself a favor and give this series a shot! You'll be glad you did!
Honestly, if Junho would be just standing in front of the camera reading a dictionary for hours I would be still captivated! Since the first time I saw him in the series 'Just Between Lovers' back in 2017 I was very impressed with his acting skills. Then I've learned that he is an idol not an actor and I was astonished! In the last 8 years I watched every series and movie he's done and I even caught up with 2PM's greatest hits and all of his solo albums. Junho is the complete package for me, my ultimate K-drama ML bias! I can't believe my luck to see him back to back acting in a series within a single month! Christmas came early for me this year!
Haha i love it how people were supporting William and lusi's drama when there was age gap they literally have…
Well, the morality police always shows up uninvited, especially when it's the woman who's significantly older! Somehow they're conveniently forgot that this is fiction not a documentary! Further more, playing a role like this with the absolute certainty of the backlash that'll come her way takes guts, a huge dose of self confidence and plenty of skills to pull it off!
I don't know why this series got such a low rating, because for me it's one of the best BL series of the year! Maybe it's too dark/deep for many, perhaps the pace is slower than what most people prefer or maybe it appeals to a more mature audience. I can only say, that if you're only interested in either fluffy/school romance or steamy BLs, this one is definitely NOT for you! On the other hand, if you care for a good plot, not bothered/triggered by the subject of mental illness and/or scary, supernatural themes this series is definitely worth your while! Just IMHO of course!
