I'm still so in love with this series! Seriously, what can be better than watching a BL drama full of sound engineering marvels, that let you hear the crickets from the next zip code coupled with a voice over that sounds like a documentary montage at the same time! Ingenious! I truly hope, that my favorite "sound engineer" keeps forgetting his hearing aid! The wardrobe department tries very hard too you see, because they add one set of different clothes every 2 episodes like new PJs or new robes, even a new sweater if we are lucky! The choppy editing and the Dollar store type Christmas decor are a real workout for our eyesight as well, so both the "set designer" and the "chief editor" needs to be praised too! Next are the "writers" who deserve a warm hearted mention for the riveting plot that they've put out for mass consumption! No, really, they actually came up with a plot this time around and they're truly maxed out the limit of their skills on this! Like at the Olympics, it's not being a winner, it's being a part of something bigger than yourself, like the dead last skier who gets cheered the loudest for making it to the finish line! So, bring the applause, ladies and gents for these brave souls who had the guts to put out something so sub par without a flinch and collected their well earned paychecks! Bravo! Oh, and lets not forget the main magicians of the show, the "director" and the producer(s)! One did the bankrolling and the other did the assembling of this Frankenstein of a BL, that commends respect for two reasons! First, they don't care about failure at all! After the first season flop they weren't discouraged! No my friends! Harsh criticism is no match for sheer determination to show the world once more their beautiful creation! Second, they don't really bother to improve on something that is clearly perfect! One little plotline, supported by two new cast members got thrown into the mix and it was all that took care of any hint of a development! Oh baby, that is some unapologetic, ice cold "We don't give a rat's ass!" attitude right there! Absolutely diabolical! Last, but not least we need to talk about the MCP! All jokes aside, they have chemistry! When it is only the two of them and it's all intimate or emotional their acting is good! Of course, they need to improve, but they have actual potential! Finally, let me point out a few things if I may! This BL is flawed in so many ways that's hard to keep count of them, but to me that's why it is so entertaining! I'm absolutely enjoying myself while I watch it and ready for season 3 or for a spinoff! The moment anyone takes this series seriously, they are setting themselves up for a rude awakening and ending up here on MDL, spreading negativity instead of laughing along with the rest of us! I'm glad to see no haters today and I wonder, if it's due to the ZERO NC SCENES in this episode and the reappearance of the plot, or those netizens just moved on to rage somewhere else, but whichever is the reason I'll take it! I'm going to say something that might ruffle some feathers, but after watching the latest episode I'm even more sure of my opinion! I think Ki is a good actor and his talent was wasted on this "script"! His eyes, his facial expressions, his confidence with the role and with his partner is evident! No matter if it's an NC scene or a fluffy scene or an emotional scene, he looks at ease performing all of them! Let me point out the obvious, that the "writers" didn't do him any favors by giving him a "plot" without much substance to work with, but somehow he was able to deliver his part every time! Again, we're not talking about a production that's worth the paper and ink that the "writers" typed their "masterpiece" on! It's a saying, that even the most unwelcoming place has it's own beauty if you're ready to see it! For me, Ki's performance is the highlight of this series and I hope, that he'll get much better roles to shine! Just IMHO, as always!

Second of all, how come, that when two hot male strangers get into a fistfight in real life, 99.5% of the time it doesn't end with an impromptu horizontal lambada? It's definitely a crying shame, because the world would be a much better place! Tawan (Us) is already stealing the show for me and it looks like that I'll be into BL this for the the second main couple! Last point, did someone say baking? As in warm pastries, hot men, cool cakes and sweet frostings in the kitchen at the same time?

Unrealistic BDSM scenes - check; overly fake tattoo - check; idiotic mafia plot - check; sub par acting - check; cringy dialogue - check; petting a CGI tiger... wait what???...excuse me???! - double check!🤣 This series is the quintessential EBS -1, the "it's so bad it's good" category BL and it's one of my favorite ones! Mostly hilarious, got a decent budget and the acting wasn't too bad, just mediocre and it actually had a plot, even if it was idiotic! EarthMix and AouBoom are a health risk of the highest order and 12 weeks of these kind of shenanigans will be the end of me! Toxic relationship and enemies to lovers are my favorite tropes, so I have high expectations for this BL and so far, it's delivering with flying colors from the start! If they can keep this up, this series will be on my top 10 list of my favorite tropes! Mix absolutely killing the toxic ex role and Boom is perfect as a love sick, walking disaster! The chemistry between both couples are off the chart as usual and I can hardly wait to see what kind of epic mess they'll get themselves into!

Yes, Myeong Cheol and Hyeon Seo should leave the company ASAP! Unfortunately, the KBL industry is still very limited in size, nowhere near to Thailand or Japan, so they'll face a very fierce competition for any available spots elsewhere! Oh, have you seen 'Opposites Attract' by any chance? It's not quite epic bad, but it's mighty close ('Unforgotten Night' level, perhaps?)! A KBL quickie, only 8 mins per episode and the final, 7th episode dropped just a few days ago, so it's an easy binge watch if you've got the time! It's even got an OK plot, but honestly, one of the MLs, Cho Myeong Gyun is the reason why I'm unwilling to grade the series as epic bad! He's got some skills, he's got the visuals, and his eyes... yeah, I blame my soft-ish rating of this KBL on those eyes of him!🤣 Sometimes, it's not easy to stay objective (BS EXCUSE ALERT) Yeah, my hormones checked in and my brain checked out in more than one occasion during that series that's for sure!🤣 P.S.: Maybe we should make an Epic Bad Scale (EBS for short) for future rating!
