Oh, WOW! We barely cleared the one week mark of these strangers sharing a living space and try to navigate both the unfamiliar circumstances and their confusing emotions while looking for a possible partner, but some netizens are ready to vilify or sanctify some of them!
There are a few points that I would like to make if I may!
1. Flirting without any commitment is a part of a normal mate-seeking behavior since the dawn of time, but today's 'swipe left' and K or C drama perfect guy BS it might seem strange or even offensive to gen Z people! 2. Unfortunately some people can easily allow their emotions to override caution or to set up boundaries when they're start to like someone! That's not their fault, they're just wired that way! 3. As long as you are single, being nice or flirtatious to more than one girl is not a crime, nor is going along with a harmless, impulse purchase of items suggested by your date! 4. After only 7 days it's normal to feel unsure, conflicted and cautious! It's also normal to be attracted to more than one person! 5. We are watching this from a bird's eye view, privy to everyone's hidden emotions and even some of their inner thoughts, but the people in it can only rely on their own instinct and limited observations! 6. Everyone has feelings, everyone can get hurt, even the guy/girl whom you can't stand! 7. It's hard to watch someone crying, but in every dating show someone will be emotional or heartbroken regardless! 8. We all have our favorite/preferred pairings, but even if all of them somehow become reality it doesn't guarantee a real happy ending when the cameras stopped rolling! 9. Hating/judging someone who you don't know at all just because a heavily edited show manipulates your emotions for entertainment purposes will only make you unhappy and stressed! 10. If everyone in the show would be all perfect, great communicators, very self assured and perfectly in sync, there will be no show and all would be coupled up and live happily ever after! 11. Men and women are wired differently! What would make perfect sense to a woman could baffle a guy into complete confusion! Just ask any married person and they'll back me on that 100%! 12. Emotions are quite complex and complicated even in a stable relationship, so just imagine how much turmoil these participants are going through there while the world watching them like zoo animals during mating season! 13. Love hurts sometime! Even the love that gets you a diamond ring and a marriage! Expecting clarity and understanding from strangers who barely adjusted to communal living, constant surveillance while trying to navigate everything all at once is unrealistic to say the least! 14. A single word or gesture could make a person pull back, change her/his mind or turn them off completely! We're not seeing the whole picture here and there are many things going on outside the camera angles that we would never know about! 15. Watching a show about falling in love and getting all negative and judgmental about it is silly and will get you anxiety which is detrimental to your health!
This series just keeps getting better and better with each new episode! I absolutely adore this BL romcom! Boss and Noeul are on top of their game once again and oozing chemistry as always, but Cooheart is also killing his role for sure! Boss breaking the 4th wall was priceless and jealous Noeul was scorching hot! Seriously, these two will be the end of me someday!
I still don't get what Catholicism has to do with the story or in what level it intensifies the characters' conflict.…
Sorry, but you are either very misinformed or just plain ignorant! A same sex couple can't get married in a Catholic church in any country, period! Please, if you are not familiar with this religion try to educate yourself before commenting on it! Also, becoming a priest or a nun is indeed not mandatory, but many young boy and girl was forced or minimum persuaded by the church or dire circumstances to do so, especially within a very poor and oppressed population even to this day! For some it's the only escape and refuge from extreme poverty, abuse, addiction, local gang wars and human trafficking! For an LGBTQ+ person, being a Catholic is like a one way ticket to Hell, because the dogma forbids it and it is considered a great sin and an abomination! In some countries you can still be excommunicated for it as well! It's a vicious cycle between being horrified of ending up in Hell according to your religion and being trapped by your own biology that makes you different from the "normal" society! The psychological trauma and struggle that an LGBTQ+ Catholic goes through is immense and most of them will carry it in their entire lives, even if they decide to leave the church!
Just checking in for a front row seat on this one! I mean it's Junho, so no surprise here! He could just stand in front of a camera reading a dictionary for hours and I would pay to see it!
Wow, I was not expecting that NC scene at the end of Episode 5 😳🔥 It was so erotic and passionate, especially…
It doesn't matter who's on top in the bedroom! S*xual desire/preference has nothing to do with the capability of ruling a kingdom! Not to mention that both of them are princes and there's no guarantee of which or if any of them will rule their kingdom in the end!
okay so i was not so confused before i saw the confusion in the comment section haha My take is: the last kissing…
Maybe you're right, but he was really into his girlfriend and he was really sad when she dumped him because of his stepbrother's schemes! Also, he seemed to be very happy when she returned! I think we really need a second season to tying up all the loose ends! Maybe he is bisexual and want to keep them both!🤣
How could Boss be so silly and so 🔥🔥😍hot😍🔥🔥 at the same time! This series is hilarious and BossNoeul doing a superb job as always! Their genuine chemistry is off the charts as usual even in the middle of all that silliness! Only these two can make me laugh and drool at the same time and when they are just staring into each other's eyes it melts my heart and can't stop swooning over them! They are my sweetest addiction and there's no cure for me!
This time I'm here to rant, no pretending otherwise! So this review won't be a balanced, well reasoned, post , just me fuming about the last 2 episodes! Since everyone already spoiled the ending, I see no need for hiding it, so read it by your own choice!
Way to ruin a bloody fair tale! I'm seriously baffled why the writers even bothered with all that drama if they just snuffed out the main reason why many of us, hopelessly romantic women of all ages who basically relived our childhood fairy tales through this series until this point!
I'm not ashamed to admit it, that I was having a ball with this story, especially in this day and age when the world around us is all messed up and we all could use the fantasy of another world to lift up our spirits for an hour or two!
Yes, it's a cliche and maybe even a bit childish, but that's exactly what many of us signed up for! Every little girl (and many little boys as well I'm sure!) inside us who grew up watching all the Disney fairy tales got to come out for a fleeting moment, just feel carefree once again, just to get lost in a dream that makes us happy!
Instead of a dream, we were slapped with some modern crap of "a monarchy is so overrated, the only woman that's worth something is a career oriented one and hold off on the offspring until further notice" that turned my stomach! The writers basically turned that other realm into a modern day slop!
Someone, please, tell me what was the point of this series? After all the scheming, all that plotting and the fight against them to stabilize the monarchy and protect and save the Crown, the newly crowned King said "Nah, thanks! I just wanted to see how does it looks on me, but it's just not my style!" EXCUSE ME????!!!!
I don't know who's unhinged brain-fart was the last 2 episodes, but the amount of damage they managed to produce is quite remarkable! Maybe, they should be hired to do horror series instead, because they've got a pretty warped mind that's for sure!
It's been quite a while since I got this mad and bitterly disappointed about something that should be there for entertainment! Maybe it's a Korean cultural thing that I can't really understand, but as a Westerner now I see why "The King: Eternal Monarch" flopped in Korea but was such a success world wide!
I guess from now on I will stay clear from any type of modern monarchy K-dramas and it will take something pretty extraordinary to convince me to watch it for the foreseeable future! Of course, this is just IMHO as always!
So, season 2 has ended and in closing I would like to put my 2 cents in for whatever it worth if I may!
Many netizens are unhappy about the JackDean outcome and I was thinking, maybe, just maybe a few things should be pointed out from the "other side's" point of view!
1. Life is a very messy journey even for the mature and wise ones, so when we add teenage/ young adult impulsiveness, immaturity, recklessness and a complete hormone explosion that fuels all consuming passion to the itinerary, what we just saw makes perfect sense! 2. Life is never a clear cut black or white, good or bad, right or wrong path! Even the most level headed and "righteous" adult makes many mistakes and chose to do something questionable in certain circumstances! These young men where nowhere near to be mature and experienced enough to make correct choices! 3. Anyone who's foolish enough to think that he/she would've made the "right" decisions without ever been in the kind of relationship where loving someone hurts so much, but you would keep trying to fix the situation over and over again should try to put themselves into their shoes for a moment or two!! 4. Loving someone or being in love is not a rational/ logical state of mind! People would do crazy, unthinkable, irrational, dangerous, self-sabotaging and self-harming things for love or because of love! 5. When love hurts, hope, forgiveness and fighting for to heal, change and save the relationship will often overtakes rationality and self-preservation! 6. Anyone who's ever had a loved one or a romantic partner who had or developed an addiction or went down on a wrong path would perfectly understand why JackDean's relationship concluded the way it did in the end! 7. It's extremely hard to give up on someone whom you love so deeply, so helplessly, so desperately that even being hurt over and over again becomes more tolerable to you than being without him/her! 8. Toxic relationships are the hallmark of love becoming and addiction itself! It's the ultimate catch 22! 9. Knowing and doing the right thing for yourself and/or your loved ones are two different things and in a dire situation where you are already emotionally compromised is one of of the hardest thing you'll ever do! 10. The threshold of tolerance for pain and the strength to keep fighting for love is an individual marker that everyone must decide for themselves! Everyone's breaking point is different! 11. Judging or hating a flawed person (not talking about hard core, violent criminals of course!) is meaningless, because it won't change anything neither for the ones who are in a toxic relationship nor to those who cares about them! 12. Even in real life, things could turn out to be for the best! People can change, we can see that all around us! A junkie gets cleaned up, an alcoholic gives up the bottle, a gambler holds onto his/her assets and a cheater becomes monogamous! Why? Because someone loved them enough and was able to endure more hardship and fought for them long enough and kept giving them help and just one more chance to get through it all! 13. Until you face and go through an all consuming love that could potentially break a person's spirit by yourself, all judgement and hind side opinions are pointless! 14. Healing and change could come from many sources and time and distance is one of the main reasons why a relationship can be mended or finalized in a positive way! 15. There's nothing else in this world that a human would willingly sacrifice anything and everything including themselves for than love!
In conclusion, the ending of this series made perfect sense to me and lets not forget, that this is just a snippet from the JackDean saga! In real life a relationship like theirs goes through many cycles, especially when they're just stepped into adulthood! BTW, I also hope that we'll get a season 3! Of course this is just IMHO as always!
Oh, boy this episode gave me such heartache!💔 This series is criminally underrated as far as I'm concerned! This is the kind of BL that hits you in the feels with a single look that makes your eyes tear up and you wish that you could reach through the screen to hug poor Xiang Yong and tell him it's going to be OK! Taiwanese BLs have the tendency to go far an open and/or ambiguous ending, so I'm holding my breath here, hoping for a positive outcome for once! In today's messed up world I prefer more happy endings than usual, because the balance of the scales started to tilt towards negativity/darkness in the real world and I need more positive vibes in my chosen escape world! Of course this is just IMHO as always and I'll see you next week!
Hopefully, this will be a short camp and we can see it this year!
