Oh, there's nothing wrong with Net's acting! It's THE STUPID SCRIPT that requires him to act this way! I'll bet you anything, that if it would be up to him, he would throw the script into the trash and walk off the set!
​*Sigh​ Another Friday and another episode of LUAT​ and I'm still having the same issues with this series as I've had in the previous episodes!
Although some progress was made this time, JJ's character just can't catch a break! I'm slowly getting fed up with all the clownish parts that the writers throw at poor JJ, hardly giving him anything else to work with!
I know that my view on this BL is unpopular and that's fine by me! I think constructive criticism is necessary, no matter if one's opinion is just a whisper in the wind!
Besides the ridiculous writing, this series is a very high quality BL! The cinematography, the custom design, the editing, the set and the music are all done well!
The only problem is the atrocious writing and its negative effect on the level of acting! The story itself has so much potential, but it's been drowned in idiotic and or lifeless dialogue, clownish comedy gimmicks and cringe worthy interactions. Only some ​slow-coach nitwit could write something ​this lame that makes Net look timid and childish at the same time! I mean for crying out loud, he was supposed to be a lord and an officer, not some lovesick teenager who would flinch at a casual touch or get shy ​like a maiden just peeling an orange! We are supposed to be in a historical time, when life was hard and cruel regardless of your birth! ​A time when severe punishments and​ even death could come at any moment for even some trivial, seemingly insignificant reasons! So, pretty please, with a cherry on top, can a grown up act like a grown up just once?!
Also, I'm so bloody tired of seeing the same old lazy and or clueless college kid character in almost every series where one of the MLs is a 20 something student! Why can't we have a super smart and capable young man show up who's actually looks like a real, dedicated schoolboy who's capable of handling basic, everyday stuff and is familiar with common sense and logic! As far as I know, to get into college one must possess intelligence, fast learning skills, be able to solve problems and adapt to handle a certain amount of stress and pressure! Maybe I was attending a special university or something where this was your basic starting point just to make it through your first year?!
I think, from now on I will lower my expectations and just enjoy the visuals, especially whenever Net is onscreen! This way I won't be disappointed!
I know that some of you will take issue with my comment and that's OK, I won't shy away from any respectful and well reasoned criticism! Of course, this is only IMHO as always! See you all next weekend!

After 3 episodes I'm still on the fence about this BL, but because I love Net so much, I will stick with it. So far, he is the only reason for me to keep watching and to see if JJ gets a chance to shine!
Well, ladies, gents and everyone else on the identity spectrum, we've got a new episode and some development to sink some fangs into!
Our princeling is a half breed who's got low tolerance for alcohol, brother issues and in dire need of some TLC! So, apparently, his unlife sucks and he is not just a predator but also a prey, being hunted and haunted by others! It's an intriguing plot from our esteemed "writers" and I'm eagerly waiting for the full exsanguination of this premise accompanied by the sound of clicks on their keyboards!
Oh, I almost forgot the sorceress! I was under the impression that this neo-gothic flavored BL rom-com was already bloody hilarious, but I guess one can't have enough laughter crammed into less than 10 minutes of vamppalooza!
BTW, our boy is doing a fangtastic job of taking care of the Dark Prince of Undead Sexyness who just a a few nights ago almost drained him to an early grave! I mean, who would hang up on such a trivial matter righty?! So, he's getting Lucifer a part time job, making sure he gets home safe after a night of heavy drinking, tucking him in and making hangover soup for him in the morning! Honestly, I cried into my hankie while I was laughing so hard that my diaphragm was begging for mercy!
I was a tad upset when 'Tide of Love 2' wrapped up, because I was thinking that it will take a while to find another gem that would entertain me as much as that BL did! Alas, I was all gloomy for nothing! I think this BL is a worthy heir to TOL2! I'm so ready for more of this stake to my giddy heart,' Boy Meets Half-Vamp' love story! Of course, this is just IMHO as always and I'll be back with more thoughts on this series when the next episode drops!

Yeah, there are mini BLs that worth watching! Unfortunately, the ratio of good vs "You are kidding, right?!" mini BLs tilted towards the latter ones! To be honest, I'm having a ball watching these mind-tinglers, because they help me release stress free of charge! They should be labeled as "alternative therapeutic supplement"! It's the "It's so bad that it's good" category for sure! I would call it a vamp-spoof BL rom-com! Absolutely hilarious! The only problem is, that the channel put out the first 3 episodes for free, but the rest is membership based and I'm not inclined to pay for it! It's a bloody shame, because it is on par with 'Tide of Love 2'! BTW, I saw that your opinion of 'Never Forget Your Enemy' is pretty close to mine! KBL is getting into interesting territory, especially when they're collaborating with a Thai company!
