Amusing comment. Is the show seriously bad enough to be good, as the kids say?
So we're up to ep 6 now if you are still interested watching this epically bad masterpiece! I swear it better than 'Tide of Love 2' which was one of the best "It's so bad that it's good" BLs in recent years!
Oh I must have done something really good in my previous life to be gifted with such priceless gem as "Sweet Blood'!
I'm not even sure where to start my ode to this absolute masterpiece, because I'm still in recovery from a serious laugh-attack after watching ep 5 and 6! Honestly, I was laughing so hard that I nearly wet myself!
Everything in this BL is a brilliant company piece to TOL2 the legend and I'm eternally grateful to receive such blessing from the BL Gods!
Did you see the fabulous decor in Min U's apartment? From the the kitchen table cover to the toys on the shelves, the pink table lamp and various nick-nacks all over the place!!?? Oh be still, my undead-loving heart, this decor rivals the beauty of TOL2's Christmas decor! It's so dazzling, that I nearly lost an eyeball while I was staring at it wide eyed, with my mouth open in disbelief!
How about the fantastic camerawork, which is so choppy that one gets woozy while the brain tries to keep up with the sudden picture shuffle! Also, I kept wondering if our cameraman might be a handicapped genius, because the images were either swaying or slightly trembling and it definitely added to the unique approach of filming the scenes!
I must praise the script writers for the effortless work that they put into this series, because the depth of the dialogues cannot be measured by common literary parameters! I was close to tears as I watched the exchange between vamp prince and snack boy as they conversed like frat brothers on a slow Friday evening! Oh and those facial expressions that suppose to convey emotions were so masterfully absent, that only a super talented actor could pull off with such ease!
Did any of you clutched at your chest like I did when after delivering a devastatingly cringy one liner, out of nowhere the Fangtastic Undead Half-Blooded Prince grabbed our young protagonist for a soul-sucking smooch??!! Even our esteemed, genius handicapped cameraman didn't know how to handle such lack of reason and chemistry and presented us with a barrage of weird angles that made this extra special, Earth-shattering moment look like a mental collage that pops up in your brain in the morning after a night of heavy drinking! It's hard to describe in mere words how the enormity of that moment affected my sanity and how hard I had to hold back the call of nature as my howling laughter of joy echoed through my room!
When those lovebirds proceeded to consummate their feelings for each other narrated by riveting inner monologues, I completely lost it! What mad genius came up with the brilliant idea of a vamp-human hookup that is utterly void of any kind of passion or detectable desire is beyond my comprehension! I think the director maybe related to the director of TOL2, because their vision of making a cinematic masterpiece is quite similar!
Somehow I've managed to get through the last few minutes of ep 6 without disgracing myself by having a kindergarten-era accident and I'm very grateful for that! My cheeks and my tummy are still in recovery mode after all the hysterical laughter, I mean excessive joy that I went through watching this outstanding, unmatched BL and I can hardly wait to see the rest of this coffin shakingly magnificent love story in the coming weeks! Of course, this is just IMHO and I'll be back when the next episode becomes available!
I am sorry, but you are mistaken! If you read my post, I wasn't acting surprised at all, nor was I a victim of some blogs!
I simply asked one question: Why did it take more than 2 weeks for SOS to take legal actions? Furthermore, when the news broke about the release of 'Wooju Bakery' on March 31st everyone including me took it as an April Fools joke at first, but it turned out to be official and then all hell broke loose!
BTW, if you read the article, the two companies supposed to be in a legal contact since March and the ownership isn't in question, but the payments and compensations for the actors and distribution fees. Regardless, my post wasn't about legal rights, it was about poor handling of PR from all parties and the unnecessary heartache that it caused!
OK, so lets put aside objective reasoning for now and just let me be a fangirl just this once! This is the type of modern fairytale that finds the little girl inside me who wanted to be a princess when she grew up! That was eons ago of course, but this K-drama makes me feel that it was only yesterday! I'm absolutely in love with this series and both IU and Woo Seok absolutely killing their roles! Actually, the whole ensemble is doing a fantastic job and both thee writing and the cinematography are outstanding! For me, 'Perfect Crown' is definitely lives up to the hype so far! Now I just have to figure it out what to do to make time go faster...
According to google, the announcement was made on March 31st after the release of the teaser by Wavve.
Also, Cinema Upright the co producer company backs Habitus which is no small issue so that's where we stand right now. Here's one of the latest summary on what's going on
Sure, except when Habitus announced that they own all the rights to the project and will be releasing it that was in March! So, I ask again, why did SOS legal team waited for WEEKS to make any legal moves?
I wonder how long will this legal circle jerk go on!
Habitus claims that all payments and compensations were made and that they're legally own the project. SOS on the other hand is ready to sue and blocking the release. Meanwhile, the one who really got screwed here again is us, the fans! We've been put trough the wringer of this emotional roller coaster time and time again! The saddest part is, that all parties watched us celebrate a lie for WEEKS!
This issue should've been handled years ago to begin with, but besides that, the moment Habitus announced that they are going to release the series, SOS legal team should've IMMEDIATELY came out with a statement that they're taking legal action to block the airing of the project! Oh, before anyone comes up with some lame excuse that how long it takes to draft a motion to cease and desist by an opposing counsel, it takes from within an hour to several hours depending on how complicated the case is. Although, it's not legally binding, but it clearly signals that legal actions will follow shortly.
So, here's the million dollar question, why did SOS waited for WEEKS to pursue any legal action? It's either negligence or incompetence or a deliberate inaction, but it's definitely NOT ignorance, because it was all over social media, so any claims of unawareness is straight up hogwash!
Honestly, in thee end it doesn't really matter which scenario is the correct one, what hurts me the most is the complete silence from Jeff himself, because he cannot claim ignorance either! No matter what the legal issue is, he should've made a simple post on any of his social media accounts to say something like: "Hey guys, I'm aware that 'Wooju Bakery' has been scheduled for airing, so let me consult with my legal team about it and we'll update you on any further development soon! Thank you for all your support and understanding!"
That's all I needed from him!
This is MY PERSONAL feeling about this and if it's selfish or somewhat childish to feel that in MY OPINION he let his fans down, so be it! No, I don't want or need or definitely not owed any apology from him, nor do I assuming or accusing him of any wrong doing! After all I'm just a nobody and I have no right nor any claim to anything regarding or related to a big celebrity like him! I'm just one of his millions of fans.
And I just feel hurt right now.
Because he cannot say that he was unaware of all the happy uproar about one of the most anticipated and hoped for projects that he made! I know, that I will be attacked and/or ridiculed for this post and that's fine. Yeah, boohoo and all that and keep my opinions and fingertips to myself, right? I know that many netizens will come up with a few reasons why Jeff couldn't or wouldn't address this or reached out to his fans for weeks. Honestly, I'm not sure that any reason could be put against a simple statement of awareness and care for his fans' feelings will make me feel less disheartened. Of course, this is IMHO as always!
Andd whoever said Dean and Raffy have a perfect -enemies to lovers- energy, you weren't lying 😂
May I suggest a wild, drunk one night stand that starts with punches and ends between the sheets.... er I mean on top of the sheets so we could ogle them and drool all over the keyboard?
Never give up hope! Wuju Bakery is here after 3 long years, even after Jeff himself said that it was shelved indefinitely,…
Oh for the love of everything that's unholy, can this saga come to a conclusion one way or another already?! I actually half jokingly suggested on it's MDL page that we, the BL fans should bankroll the payment for the actors to get 'Wooju Bakery' released! As for Vamp, my undead-loving heart will keep the hope alive and keep waiting patiently until either me or the project expires...
OK here's my suggestion, can we all just pitch in to pay them? I mean there are a few million BL fans on this planet, so if the actors open an account to clear all payments even if most of us send only few dollars or more from those of us who could afford to send more we could get this show released in a day or two! I wish that it was just a stupid joke, but honestly, maybe this is the only way to get this show on the road!😵💫
I doubt Rang will become a ghost—after all, we still have four episodes left, so I doubt they’d kill him off…
Yeah, I keep telling myself the same things that you just listed, so hopefully we're both correct! On the other hand, I've been burned before, hence the default freak out mode I'm operating on these days when I'm really invested in a drama!🤣
Ngl, you can like what you like, I don’t care, but saying NC scenes in LGBT shows “cheapen the plot” gives…
I wrote "Unnecessary or overused NC scenes are usually the mark of an unseasoned writer" to be exact which is quite a distinction! If my approach of SUGGESTING a less negative input for commenting on something that is supposed to be just for entertainment makes me narrow minded or controlling according to Pink Blossom and apparently you as well, than I am proud to live with that shame, because I've seen first hand what hate could do to a human being. Also, my opinion is no less valid than those who chose negativity or hate to express their views. The only difference between me and those netizens is that I rather be ridiculed or called out for suggesting a little bit of kindness than to stay ignorant about something that's sole purpose is to spread negativity or cause harm one way or another! As always, this is just IMHO!
Please, tell me that they didn't off my I Rang just like that, because I'm ready to lose any resemblance of objectivity in about 1 second flat!!!??? If he is truly dead and not coming back, or stays a ghost I'm not sure that I want to watch the rest of the series! I know that most Asian dramas are operating on maximum emotional pain delivery, but with certain series I have to draw the limit of my acceptance and bearing of such grief and this drama is one of them! I really hope, that I'm mistaken and that the preview is either misleading or deliberately vague about I Rang's medical status, because I didn't sign up for another heartbreaking tearjerker!
Yess, finally a good and objective review 🌹🩷 I also like the directing style in this season, I think it's…
It's kind of you to say! I also wished that the angst would've been a bit more balanced in the first season, but regardless of a few minor flaws the series was one the best BLs in recent years! Thank you for stopping by!
I'm not even sure where to start my ode to this absolute masterpiece, because I'm still in recovery from a serious laugh-attack after watching ep 5 and 6!
