Thanks for your kind words! I posted a reply for Bella to clear up any misunderstanding so I won't repeat it here, but lets just say that ! fiercely defended 'Peach Lover' and I don't know how many times I rewatched 'My Stubborn' or how much I'm ready for 'KNOT' to air like yesterday! Thanks again for your kind comment!
You can like the show or defend it all good but telling people not to voice their opinions on mdl good or bad…
Correction! I merely SUGGESTED that constructive criticism could be a better option instead of dragging the show to the mud or spreading hate or negativity! Also, I ALWAYS emphasize that whatever I post is just IMHO (In My Humble Opinion) and I always welcome any respectful and well argued constructive response to all my comments! I think there is way too much hate and negativity in every aspect of daily life and I try to ask for a little bit more positive input wherever I post my thoughts on something! I hope that clears things up regarding my comment and thanks for stopping by!

I think you misunderstood something in my post! Just to be absolutely clear I'm a huge supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and if you check any of my posts that would be pretty obvious! Second, if I have to label myself I would say that I'm 80% hetero and 20% BI and that fact gives my gay friends plenty of ammo to tease me about! Third, I was referring to having potentially too many NC scenes in certain series and I didn't say that it was bad or wrong, but that it could work against a story line! Finally, I'm the type of girl who's got "My Stubborn" on redial and waiting for "KNOT" like how the Christians are waiting the second coming of Jesus! So, I'll chuck up your comment as a tipsy blooper and I hope to see you around to drool over many super hot BLs in the comment section with me!🤣
sounds like you listing points to convince yourself that this is actually a good show???
I assume that you've seen many people to do that in the last 8 weeks! Maybe some members of Masochists United using this series for "enjoyment"? I could never understand why would anyone watch something that they loath so much! I have hardly enough time to watch things that I really like never mind wasting my precious time on something that I can hardly stomach, then wasting even more time on posting negative or hateful comments on it week after week!
sounds like you listing points to convince yourself that this is actually a good show???
I'm quite happy with this series and I didn't aim for convincing anyone least of myself! I merely pointed out a few things and voiced my personal opinion of this BL! I hope that clears up any confusion you might have about my post and thanks for stopping by!
So, here we are 8 episodes into this BL and I figured I'll put my 2 cents in for whatever it's worth!
First and foremost the acting is superb all around which is not a small achievement when it comes to a multiple couples ensemble! I'm also very happy with the quality of the production and the camerawork and the editing is exceptional as well!
Reading through some of the comments I've noticed an interesting pattern. Many netizens are comparing the 2 seasons like it's some kind of unwritten rule that the two must be either similar or season 2 should be a sequel of the previous season or something! I'm sorry to point out the obvious, but there's no such rule, especially if there's a brand new cast with a completely different history! Just because some of the characters from the first season briefly showed up as guests with the exception of Boston of course, they're not relevant in season 2 nor necessary for the development of the storyline! Also, why would anyone want a similar plot in the first place? Wouldn't it be just a sorry ass copycat attempt of the original script and cast? I can only speak for myself of course, but I'm glad that the writers went in a different direction the second time around!
The other issue that comes up in many posts is the complaints about the presumed lack or absence of spiciness, angst and/or red/black flag behavior. Let me make a few points about this subject if I may !
1. Unnecessary or overused NC scenes are usually the mark of an unseasoned writer(s) who 's chasing the plot or not sure of the direction where to go with the story. 2. Too many NC scenes could cheapen or even ruin the drama itself or minimum break the flow of the story. 3. If angst is the main driver of the series it only works if the setup is well balanced and it's the logical conclusion of that setup and not thrown in randomly just to provoke some kind of emotional reaction. 4. Having multiple red flag characters already create angst by itself, Overwhelming the viewers with too many heavy or dramatic plot lines could get really exhausting and the sensory overload could undermine the big, climactic scenes that the story is aiming for. 5. The trope of loving or desiring the wrong/bad guy is also an angst heavy subject that creates the perfect prelude to deep emotional conflicts giving the drama plenty angst from the get go.
I could list more things, but that would make me look more obnoxious and I think I've made my case for "defending" this BL in a way! To me, this BL is well balanced and has it's unique vibe that sets it apart from season 1 in a good way! Naturally, this is all subjective and everyone's taste is different! What works for some it might be a flaw or flop for others.
In conclusion, I always try to approach a new season of any Asian drama with an open mind and try very hard not to fall into the trap of assuming things if the creators didn't specify it as a sequel or part of trilogy or something! That's being said, it's OK to be disappointed if it turned out to be something different that you hoped for, but instead of dragging it down, I would suggest to post a respectful, well argued constructive criticism! Of course, this is just IMHO as always!
this is insane cause even someone that doesnt like luat is acknowledging netjj's chemistry lmao thanks for tuning…
I think, I have a different taste when it comes to comedy! For example, I absolutely LOVED 'I'm the Most Beautiful Count' to bits! It was an absolute hoot and I enjoyed every minute of it! The same goes for 'Duang With You'! It's also an over the top, goofball comedy, but just as with ITMBC, the writing was top notch and it didn't take anything away from the bond or the chemistry from the MCP! On the other hand LUAT makes me sad, because Net and JJ got shortchanged with piss poor writing and an idiotic plotline! Most of all I feel bad for JJ, because this is his first ML role and he is so talented and deserves a much better written character than this! Hopefully, things will improve from now on as far as the script goes so NetJJ could truly shine! Thanks for stopping by!
It's Friday, so it's another LUAT episode to talk about!
It took until the 36th minute of ep 4 when we got to see how a normal person acts as far as the writing goes! For the last ten minutes of the episode some reason and reality checked in for a visit and finally JJ had something else to show for us instead of the clown show that the writers forced on him! The difference was so striking that it seemed that we were watching a completely different actor! For the life of me, I can't understand why couldn't the plot be written as a regular historical piece with a few comic elements here and there instead of this cringy mess that they created so far?!
Even a nitwit could see clearly how good Net and JJ clicked as soon as normalcy returned to the scene! Instant chemistry, meaningful dialogues and a realistic feeling changed the whole vibe of the drama! This series could've been awesome from the get go if they stayed with the original script and trusted JJ's skill to pull it off with his own interpretation of the character! I blame the director for this big time! Him and the writers robbed us from something really great by dumbing it down into a glorified big budget clown show!
I don't know if I should dare to hope that normalcy will gradually overtake the narrative or not, but one thing is crystal clear to me, Net and JJ have chemistry and they need a worthy, adequate script to let them show us how good they are together! Maybe, just maybe this BL have a redemption part coming up to make up for all the lunacy that we've been subjected until now!
Before I sign off, let me address the second couple, because their story actually is pretty good! I'm not saying it's a Baeksang worthy piece or anything, but the storyline is captivating enough and both actors fit the part quite nicely! Latte and Kim got chemistry in spades and Kim especially shines in this role so far! His soulful eyes and delicate expressions are spot on and looks natural! Latte's stoic and brooding portrayal of a healer is a nice contrast and it works very well for the dynamic between them! I'm really looking forward to follow their love story throughout the series! Of course, this is just IMHO as always and I'll see you all again next Friday!
The trailer looks so good that I'm already invested in this BL! It also looks to be a bit of a tearjerker, which makes it even more intriguing, so I'm excited for this BL!
7 days and counting... I can hardly wait for this BL! UpPoom have a chemistry so hot that it could put a pulsar to shame and on top of that, their acting skills are one of the best in the industry which makes this BL couple rank in the top10 best BL pairings category for me!
6 days and counting... and I still can't believe that I'll be seeing Jeff and Barcode in a BL once more! There's no way that I'll watch this BL by myself, because I'll probably require some medical attention while I'm watching this series, because I might pass out a time or two just by the sheer sight of their visuals! By the time it gets to the intimacy parts I'll probably expire, so I think I need to purchase a defibrillator and and a portable oxygen tank!
I've been patiently waiting for this series for 3 long years now! To see Jerry Yan and Ariel Lin acting together will be one of the greatest cinematic experiences of my life! Since Jerry's FB post in December I'm anticipating the announcement of the release date very soon!
"As far as I know, to get into college one must possess intelligence, fast learning skills, be able to solve…
Oh good! I was wondering if the Thai education system is that much different from the European ones! On the other hand, if we're talking about what's going on in the good old US of A lately, acting like a nitwit is like a badge of honor and helps bonding with the rest of the herd!
agree with u! for some odd reason in every other he opens his mouth wide to let out weird noises. it is not cute,…
Oh, there's nothing wrong with Net's acting! It's THE STUPID SCRIPT that requires him to act this way! I'll bet you anything, that if it would be up to him, he would throw the script into the trash and walk off the set!
*Sigh Another Friday and another episode of LUAT and I'm still having the same issues with this series as I've had in the previous episodes!
Although some progress was made this time, JJ's character just can't catch a break! I'm slowly getting fed up with all the clownish parts that the writers throw at poor JJ, hardly giving him anything else to work with!
I know that my view on this BL is unpopular and that's fine by me! I think constructive criticism is necessary, no matter if one's opinion is just a whisper in the wind!
Besides the ridiculous writing, this series is a very high quality BL! The cinematography, the custom design, the editing, the set and the music are all done well!
The only problem is the atrocious writing and its negative effect on the level of acting! The story itself has so much potential, but it's been drowned in idiotic and or lifeless dialogue, clownish comedy gimmicks and cringe worthy interactions. Only some slow-coach nitwit could write something this lame that makes Net look timid and childish at the same time! I mean for crying out loud, he was supposed to be a lord and an officer, not some lovesick teenager who would flinch at a casual touch or get shy like a maiden just peeling an orange! We are supposed to be in a historical time, when life was hard and cruel regardless of your birth! A time when severe punishments and even death could come at any moment for even some trivial, seemingly insignificant reasons! So, pretty please, with a cherry on top, can a grown up act like a grown up just once?!
Also, I'm so bloody tired of seeing the same old lazy and or clueless college kid character in almost every series where one of the MLs is a 20 something student! Why can't we have a super smart and capable young man show up who's actually looks like a real, dedicated schoolboy who's capable of handling basic, everyday stuff and is familiar with common sense and logic! As far as I know, to get into college one must possess intelligence, fast learning skills, be able to solve problems and adapt to handle a certain amount of stress and pressure! Maybe I was attending a special university or something where this was your basic starting point just to make it through your first year?!
I think, from now on I will lower my expectations and just enjoy the visuals, especially whenever Net is onscreen! This way I won't be disappointed!
I know that some of you will take issue with my comment and that's OK, I won't shy away from any respectful and well reasoned criticism! Of course, this is only IMHO as always! See you all next weekend!
Thanks again for your kind comment!
Also, I ALWAYS emphasize that whatever I post is just IMHO (In My Humble Opinion) and I always welcome any respectful and well argued constructive response to all my comments!
