Processing shock is also something that varies from person to person and there's no fixed or appropriate amount of timeline of how long it should take to "come to your senses" and some people might never even able to reach that point! Then, there's is the feeling of shame and self loathing for the inappropriate reaction that piles on top of the shock that a person have to handle now as well, so it automatically adds to the length of coping with the situation! Anyone who's ever worked in the medical field will tell you that people react very differently to certain situations and there are many shocking events occurring on a daily basis involving everyday people! A mother abandoning a newborn in the hospital then coming back a day later for him/her. A husband of an elderly dementia patient leaving his wife in the ICU after she suffered a head injury only to return 4 days later and never leaving her side until she passed on 2 weeks later. A daughter refusing to donate part of her liver to her alcoholic father who got the whole family evicted more than once because he spent the rent money on whiskey. When the family was notified that he won't live longer than 24-48 hrs she returned and volunteered for the transplant. Trust me, I have seen it all and then some!
The FL in this story reacted "badly" regarding to every moral standard that society deems correct and appropriate. Still, we humans are complicated animals and sometimes our brain just doesn't cope with sudden, unexpected scenarios in a positive manner! Then, we must also taking it into a count of the ridiculous "perfection" bias in Korean society, where from a young age kids are conditioned to excel, to not be a burden to their family, to others and to society at large! The ugly truth is, that even in Western culture people are not too eager to get involved with someone who has some kind of disability! It's a fact that nobody wants to face or acknowledge!
Our FL is just a student and she got scared. She is in love with someone who is already at a disadvantage in a world where only the fraction of the "healthy" population can succeed as it is! Not to mention how her parents would react, or what would happen if the relationship fails and she might have to deal with added emotional trauma, because she is healthy and she will feel guilty even if it wasn't her fault! I've seen mature adults acting just like this or worse when it was their loved ones, so forget about a stranger whom you just know only for a week or two! Does that make her actions/reaction OK or acceptable? Certainly not, but things like this happens all the time and people are capable to change, learn and grow from their mistakes!
In conclusion, I suggest that some netizens should get off from their imaginary high horse of "moral superiority" and if you have nothing to add beside your own ego and narcissism try to keep it to yourself!

The first 4 episodes were a great start and I'm hoping for a thrilling ride all the way to the end! The original K-drama 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' was an absolute masterpiece and Park Eun-bin's performance was an unmatched acting masterclass on a level that comes along only a handful of times in a generation! So, when I saw the title my first thought was that I feel both sorry and respect for the courage of the actress who accepted the role. Then I checked the duration of the episodes and was pleasantly surprised to see the 50+ minutes runtime! I will definitely try my best to give this series a fair shot and hopefully it will be an enjoyable experience!

You are at the same point where I was when this series began! I've already had the novel and seeing how great this story was on screen, loving every minute of it, I decided to read the novel to double up the enjoyment! Unfortunately it didn't work out that way! Now I'm really hoping that the adaptation will have more sensible modifications (some changes are already been placed in from the start) that makes this BL much more palatable without sacrificing the base of the storyline! I'm not exaggerating! I desperately tried to skip all of it, because I was so invested in the characters! Even just barely glancing at the pages while trying to get to the end of the scene as fast as humanly possible, barely catching a few sentences here and there and still it was enough to turn my stomach and wish for a lobotomy! I'm no spring chicken nor a shirking violet and I have seen enough horror in my life! I have worked in a war torn country and I've seen what a human depravity looks like up close and personal and it takes a lot to shock/disturb me, but hardcore, explicit and detailed MULTIPLE r*pe is definitely one of my hard lines!
So, I sincerely advise anyone who want to read this novel to brace him/herself, because there are absolutely no guardrails to shield you from the mental and physical violence that's been described in this story! Naturally, everyone have their own threshold of how much brutality they can stomach/endure and I'm certainly NOT here to discourage anyone from reading this novel! I just want to CAUTION the netizens, so they can make an informed choice before committing their precious time to read it!
I don't know how close the series will follow the storyline and now I'm definitely conflicted about how the rest of the series will turn out! Of course this is just IMHO as always!
