Could you please give more context to your post? You are really making assertions based on which evidence?
Well, in this case the criticism came from an official military account and because of that ZLH is targeted and ridiculed and called a "foundation-general".
Regarding the controversy created by some military official, I would like to point out a few things if I may just to have a reality check!
1. Artistic freedom is non existent in China. 2. Posting from an official, military account ensured the intimidation of Chinese netizens to keep to party line. 3. A substantial number of those so called "great generals" that this account hails so much, were true monsters and brutes who had no problem ordering a hundred thousand soldier to certain death, or overseeing a complete massacre of entire regions to the last child! 4. Some of those generals were nepo babies, who got the job through corruption not by merit. 5. Movie generals have honor, some of those real life generals had almost unlimited power, hardly any conscience, morals or honor to speak of! 6. Most of the time those generals just sat on their horse in safe distance from the battlefield, merely observing the full scale slaughter. 7. Movie generals care for their soldiers, most of those real life generals never cared for them, they were just disposable pieces on a road to power and glory. 8. Movie generals gladly sacrifice themselves and their army to protect the civilian population, most of those real life generals sacrificed anything and anyone for victory, glory or to protect their own skin. 9. Most of the true, real life, heroic generals died on the battlefield and were honored post humus and gained legendary status as time went by. 10. Bulk and "manliness" has nothing to do with being a great general, Throughout history, there were countless female warriors and even a few generals who commanded armies and achieved military merit.
In conclusion, if it's not a documentary or a historically accurate story/event, I prefer my generals to be fictional and if they look like ZLH that's a bonus! BTW, during 80% of the drama, our marquis was severely injured or recovering from his injuries, so being so skinny made perfect sense! As for all the make up. this is a FICTIONAL STORY PLAYED BY ACTORS, not a military barrack! Sweat, blood and gore is fine during action sequences, but nobody wants to stare at a badly scarred, unkempt face for 40 plus episodes! Of course, it's just IMHO as always!

Exactly unfortunately we will always have pick me women even defending a whole rapist
Correct! Her legal defense claimed that she was just mistaken and she is sorry about this misunderstanding and blamed all of it on alcohol consumption! The jury felt sorry for her and she got off on the first round! On appeal, she got a suspended 8 months prison sentence!
Never give up hope! Wuju Bakery is here after 3 long years, even after Jeff himself said that it was shelved indefinitely,…
Yeah, I get your point and I know that 'Vamp' is a very long shot, but since Jeff was interested in this project out of all the countless offers he got, I think that means something! Especially, because he is such a high commodity as you put it and can pick whatever he fancies! As for 'Happy Ending', it is Jeff's baby, so I'm not worried about that at all! I don't claim to have any knowledge about his financial status whatsoever, but anyone who owns a business cannot dismiss trends that boosts the bottom line! BL has become a global sensation and a very lucrative investment that's hard to ignore, that's why the reception of 'Wuju Bakery' matters! In the entertainment world fame is a very fickle thing that can vanish in the blink of an eye with just one seemingly innocent comment these days! No matter how loaded someone is right now, if you are a businessman you assess the market and plan for the future! But I digress! As I've said, I'm staying optimistic and maybe, just maybe things will progress in our favor! As long as Jeff is happy, I'm not complaining, just quietly hoping!

Honestly, the script is not the main issue, but the lack of time, since Jeff is doing 4 different things at the same time! He is currently filming a crime series and if 'Wuju Bakery' becomes a success, it's highly likely that his other temporarily shelved projects will get a new bloodline tooo (pun absolutely intended)! 😄 As they say, money talks and even though Jeff is a sensational singer, any additional revenue would help him to fund his other projects and to manage his company with more ease! So, I'm staying optimistic and see how things will shift depending on what kind of reception Wuju Bakery gets!
Oh my, this BL got a rating of 7? Are we watching the same series, or did I just stumbled into a parallel world? Don't get me wrong, I love this vamptastic mini BL with a stake to my bleeding heart kind of way, because I haven't snort-laughed since 'Tide of Love 2' concluded and this production just remedied that issue!
Let me double check the title, just to be sure that I'm commenting on the correct series! Well, color me undead, because it is the right BL, so I must be missing something! This riveting tale of absolute lunacy clearly touched many highly artistic people, who could truly appreciate the uniqueness of this fable of ' The Vampire Prince's Fangtastic Adventures on Planet Earth'! Maybe, I'm not sophisticated enough to comprehend the full meaning of such rich modern folklore! I promise, that from now on I will make every effort to better educate myself on this subject!
If I just concentrate on the literally eyepopping CGI, or on the nuanced editing style coupled with some spine tingling lines and masterfully delivered, soul-sucking dialogue, I shall discover the hidden gems that validates a grade of 7 out of 10! Maybe, the actors' visuals gained 80% of the score, because our human boy is one cute walking snack and the vampire prince is oozing that gothic vibe of a room temperature, totally original bloodsucker! That's a solid 5 point right there! I knew, I could figure this out! As for the remaining 2 points, I think that the infamous vampire stare that alters the mind did the trick! A well positioned camera angle beamed that hypnotic gaze through the screens and many fell under the spell of the undead royal! Just like how commercials can mind-bugger the poor customers to spend their hard earned money on things that bad for them or can't afford! Genius!
I'm not sure when will the next few episodes air, but I shall return with updates and more insides of this remarkable, coffin-scorcher of a tale!
It seems like this won't be happening. I would love it if they gave closure on it so we can stop hoping..
Never give up hope! Wuju Bakery is here after 3 long years, even after Jeff himself said that it was shelved indefinitely, but low and behold, miracles can happen! Keep the faith!
