I’m watching this slowly and savouring episodes as it seems like a fun watch, can’t read the comment section though coz I don’t want spoilers, just showing my presence 😄
Me not liking that she ran away again, count as hate on Yifan ?
I feel you bro 😂. I’ve also never once said I don’t like WYF, all my comments have been about the screenwriter and the ancient tropes he uses, yet I’m being told I don’t like her 😂
Lively comment section haha 😂Well, I have to throw in my two cents. As someone reading the novel simultaneously…
Yeah it’s almost like losing the charm of the authors style and views with the way they changed it in the drama, which is sad because those were what made her adaptations all so highly rated.
Found this comment on Weibo and it made me sad, it’s like a mourning of our beloved WYF character: "Why has Wen Yifan been changed like this? I can't stand it. Her character has completely collapsed. Forget the original novel, even her character within the drama itself is inconsistent, so disjointed that it feels like she's been possessed. How could she be so indifferent? Why can she say she can let go of Sang Yan just like that? The first time she left, she truly had no choice. She was young then, with no better options. But now? She has a degree, a job, friends, and she just runs off to Hong Kong to work illegally without a word. She can escape, she can choose to heal herself, but she's Wen Yifan, this character has a core. She's not this kind of person. Can we please stop with the self-sacrificing tropes? She would stand in front of Sang Yan if she encountered Che Xingde... I'm so frustrated."
I’m on episode 2 and it’s so funny with their flashbacks, how they view the same situation differently 😂. I love how they depict real life situations in a light comedic way.
Personally, I do feel a little dejected from this change. Also, I feel like the director is partly to blame for…
Ah you have put my thoughts into words, thank you! The reason this authors adaptations have been rated so highly is because of her style and minimal plot. Now the screenwriter puts in his angsty dramatic flair which was so ten years ago!
This is exactly what saddens me, it will also affect my end rating and I really really really wanted this to be…
I have been so bothered by the director BECAUSE of how much I wanted this to be top and how much I love these characters 😂. I know because of his changes, the rating won’t be as high as I hoped it would.
They changed the main plot—a mistake, a colossal mistake. There was a reason the book was a success. That's…
This is exactly what saddens me, it will also affect my end rating and I really really really wanted this to be top! I’m preaching it so much it’s almost like my KPI 😂
