You sure about that? XS is the main character, he's not going to die. They're most likely find a cure. From the spoilers of the other commentators, he most likely ends up with QL. I'm thinking it's a happy ending.

Yes I thought that WX and QL were quite similar, same age and same playful characters, they are literally boy girl versions of each other, while XS and RY both have a mature/calm demeanor and suited more in terms of personalities with ethereal looks. The writer had to switch the two up so I understand why ppl said they look mismatched too. I don't mind the opposites attract concept too.

I didn't read the novel and don't mind if you spoil the ending. What happens to each character?

I like Sikong, I wish she got more lines so we can see her character development but I know the focus is on the boys. Maybe she only has admiration for XS but they don't end up together in the end and they remain just friends?

That's nice of her. I thought she was one of the main characters and was excited to have a girl join in the gang. Honestly, WX and QL make such a cute couple too, they both have outgoing personalities and makes more sense than XS since he's so cold. Maybe it's not so late for her to switch over to him instead :-)

I am enjoying watching the trio cause of their chemistry so far. The choreography and martial arts scenes is on point. The plot moves fast so I don't feel bored. I know romance isn't the main theme here but I almost feel sorry for QL the way XS treats her, it seems like a one-sided romance the whole time, why does the writer bother drumming them up if she was suppose to be one of the main characters but feels like she's ousted from the all-boys club and relegated to a supporting female character with filler lines. Another interesting subplot is if RY likes both WS and XS?

Fair enough. I like the brother trio but to add a fun girl to spice up the relationship dynamic. I guess the romance is not required but it doesn't hurt either in my books cause I like all the main leads. She's also a main lead so she'll definitely be part of the adventure. Even though she's young, I am guessing QL will mature and be supportive with her strong martial arts experience, I doubt she'll be a hindrance to their journey.

Am I the only one here that enjoying the subtle romance scenes with XS and QL? I think XS can be a single cool character but I don't mind if he ends up with QL either. I like that the director inserts these brief lighthearted scenes to relieve some of the more intense moments.

Nice drama, I didn't expect much from it but it has got me hooked. The chemistry of all the actors and actresses are on point. I love the focus on the 3 male leads and the storyline is interesting. It's also nice that they put a tinge of romance/comedy to balance it out. The dynamic between XS and QL is quite interesting: he is wise/mature and she is curious/playful, it would be interesting how his cold exterior starts to melt while her character develops being around him. It seems like they have a subtle admiration towards each other but their similar stubborn nature refuses to acknowledge it which is so innocent and cute imo.

Really tried to give this show a chance but after so many episodes I am so bored to tears and want to just drop with just a few more episodes left cause I find myself constantly fast forwarding. Usually like a slow paced, happy-go-feel storylines but this one is just not it for me. Unfortunately, just not feeling any chemistry with the leads or even the forced love square. Something really off about the FL's acting although I cannot pinpoint esp the first episode where she looks like she's just staring into space, I don't know her previous works maybe it's just her lack of expression. The trailers also lack anything interesting to keep my hooked.

I love this show. It's so funny and relatable. This show brings out the guys' immature and childish side.

Amazing detail to the costume design and landscaping. YQ lived in a building with so much character.

It really was such a shame cause it had so much potential and so many parts were cut and made a less cohesive storyline. SFL was so unbearable to watch that i skipped over her. I wanted a good ending but it was flat and it not enjoyable.

Despite the flaws in this show, I will be re-watching it a bit later too to gain a new appreciation of the work they put in and the amazing costume and feel of the era. The sweat and hard work they poured into this after watching the bts fell to crappy censorship. I also miss seeing DYQ.

That is a stretch. By far it is not the worst i have seen. The main thing is cause of the censorship that ruined it. I do think it gets better in the second half when things really pick up. I personally enjoyed it overall. However, it is ultimately up to you if it suits your taste.

It was fun while it lasted. This drama brought a lot of good discussion and analysis each week which will be missed. Saying goodbye to the wonderful cast for their hard work in rain and shine. Thank you to all the familiar commenters who invested so much in this drama to the end. Hope we meet again in another good drama!

I am not sure how YQ who is a fictional character escapes the KL cannot pass censorship. Frustrated with the lack of explanation leaving me guessing and making up my own alternative ending.

I love WS wardrobe especially the white, pink and purple colors. YQ also has so many to choose from and looks absolutely great in all of them needless to say. They did no justice to Fengling even though she was the antagonist as she only wore one bland outfit the whole time after they started the expedition. Isn't she suppose to the rich spoiled modern lady? Maybe the production team disliked her character so much so that was their punishment?

She definitely got it down pat for being such an annoying spoiled brat. So much so that I cannot ignore it if she plays an innocent angel in another role.
