Well, well, well, great couple of episodes other than my usual problem…the combination of script and actress…
I've watched the recent episodes and I think FL is getting better, she is no longer stubborn, willing to let go and is maturing in that she now understand ML. I am quite fond of her. But how is ML delusional?
there is romance in the drama tho, not misleading at all
Genres: Adventure, Historical, Mystery, Fantasy. I am surprised that romance is not listed there too, should replace Fantasy imo, maybe it doesn't allow over 4 tags.
It seems like SFL is really intrigued with ML and is always concerned with him. I can't tell if she admires him for his intelligence or romantically which probably isn't the case. ML accepts her request to become friends but I think he still has some reservations with her real agenda to find Kunlun mountain, and it doesn't help that her brother is enemies with him. FL has turned a leaf and shows maturity in letting go, it's going to be interesting once they start their new mission to find the treasures.
BTS scenes are so cute and funny. The cast has great chemistry. The main leads are so chummy like good friends teasing each other translates to their natural interaction on screen, especially Elaine who seems to have a friendly and extroverted personality. For comedy, I look forward to seeing more of it.
My 2-ccents take on ep 15 & 16: Viewer reading discretion advise (read at your own risk/choice) - do not bash…
There is a bit of romance in the later half of this series, the new poster is an indication. The previews revealed a lot already, I don't mind spoils, the main leads will get married, the BTS mentioned about 2 upcoming kissing scenes, the FL will continue to support ML, she also has on a different hairstyle and modern clothing so I am guessing we might get a happy ending.
I understand why ppl are frustrated with FL but I see a turning point for her character that I was waiting for where she now supports the ML with his goals and whatever makes him happy. She understands ML's beliefs and that shows maturity. Some ppl are shipping ML and SFL, I tried visualizing them as a couple but idk they look even more like siblings and it looks rather boring cause I see them all serious and talking politics all the time. Doesn't help that SFL looks like a live doll and appears half of the time expressionless. Beautiful new poster btw.
well I don't go for popularity. I usually find some overrated and not my taste anyways since I end up dropping it after a few eps. I suppose people don't like dramas with too much dialogue but it suits this type of drama so I really don't mind too much. This is a gem and one of the better dramas I watched this year.
I'm seeing some incremental relationship development between Wu Shuang and Yunqi in ep. 14... Before, their arguments…
YQ is quite mature to deliver it to WS in a affirmative way that does not hurt as much. He doesn't reject her completely but pretty much disagrees with the reasons for the marriage and joining the sect. I think the brother might still be alive too it's weird to kill him off in 13 episodes even though he's still a douche.
I usually don’t watch these types of dramas..am here for the ML but I will drop it if the FL doesn’t improve.…
I like the actress playing the character but it's probably the scriptwriter's intent to make it seem like she's innocent and sheltered her whole life ie. obedient, does not think on her own and must follow orders by her master. She is an orphan and desires to have a family, she also has not seen much of the world outside, so I can see why she is like that. I am optimistic that she will get more character development. They were both childhood friends but having to experience the bigger world outside, ML is knowledgeable, smart and independent and he will help her along the way. I actually really like the dichotomy between these two: traditional vs modern way
So in episode 14, it seems like their is an argument between the main leads. They clearly have feelings towards each other but there's a mountain (no pun intended) between them and don't fault why they are so adamant on their beliefs with marriage and politics. It is probably better that they separate for now to work on those problems and to make the heart grow fonder while missing each other's company.
Watching up ep 8 so far, and I can see what some people have complained about wushuang. She shouldn't come with…
Good observation. The blame is always shifted towards the female victim for getting herself in that predicament. Unfortunately, it seems so relevant in today's real society where the woman is often unfairly blamed upon, for example if she is wearing slightly revealing clothing and people assume she is "asking" for it.
Those who are saying female lead is annoying as hell - annoying as hell, guy's please why are you repeating same…
Are people actually commenting badly on her looks? Seriously? She is one of the most prettiest female actresses I've seen in a Chinese drama. I find her gorgeous in this character, especially with the hair makeup and costume.
I am reading the comments here but I don't agree with some of them. The storyline is sort of refreshing to me. I don't find the FL annoying, in fact, she is one of the reasons why I started watching it, her looks are unique, a classical beauty and charming in her own way. I can't wait to see more chemistry between the leads.
