Moves out of parents house, 2nd FL doesn't have the passcode of ML. We don't see her doing sleepovers at his place. His health worsens and asks for a break to spare her. Father of ML tells GF, ML is sick ae nd wants 2FL to stay by his side. 2nd FL proposes to ML. We don't see rings exchanged or worn, we don't see any physical romance still? Did he accept and calls her fiancée?
This appears to be a one sided relationship where the FL is cheating and not spending time with ML.

It takes time for both of them to come to the realization they are genuinely attracted to each other. The 2nd ML is boring , she doesn't have romantic feelings for him.

My point was the writer wouldn't be mixing up the viewership metrics so your point to OTT isn't the reason why it's dropping. They are using the same metrics to measure the change in viewership.

My Liberation Notes handled the numerous sub plots, characters intelligently, this has done the opposite.
Some feel the rom-com isn't good, too many sub-plots, characters.
