In the last episode both of the male leads are still vying for the female lead's attention. She tells one of them that she wants to focus on being a doctor first before pursuing romance. So she ends up with neither of them but you could imagine she ended up with one of them later I suppose.

In the first few Chinese dramas I watched the dubbing was jarring to me. Now I usually don’t notice it unless a word or phrase was dubbed separately because it sounds different than the other parts. I will say I don’t think I will ever fully understand the need for it when other countries with large film/tv industries don’t rely so heavily on dubbing. I especially don’t understand the whole accent thing. Learning different accents is part of acting. Just look at all the British actors who make it big in Hollywood, they have to do a general American accent for many roles they take. Yes sometimes actors do poorly with other accents but I’d rather see them try it themselves than for them to be automatically dubbed over. I think you are right though when you said they use dubbing since it’s the cheapest solution. I’m not surprised that they would cut corners like that in China considering they do the same thing in other industries as well.

This was my biggest issue with the show. I know nothing about the Korean child services system but in the U.S. the mother would have gotten a longer prison sentence and she would never have gotten her child back.

Yeah I tried to watch the British one and I couldn't get into it. The Swedish version had an amazing makeup team. The characters really looked like robots.

Here's to me and everyone else getting suckered into watching an ongoing Chinese historical drama thinking surely this one will have a happy ending. >:(

The abyss plotline just dragged on and on. It felt disjointed because they basically restarted the story in an alternative timeline that barely had an effect on the real world. I think they could have gotten the same points across in another way that was more effective than going into the abyss. But other than that I really enjoyed No Boundary. The main couple are both very likeable and adorable together. It's worth the watch for them alone. As a vegetarian I also appreciated seeing a vegetarian character in a drama!

I randomly decided to watch this after seeing it on IQIYI and it has become one of my favorite school dramas. The quirky characters and the folk music made the storyline unique. I loved Chen Jing's eternal optimism and determination.

You're welcome! It's definitely one of those shows that could be interpreted to be happy or sad depending on what you personally believe.

I tried that one when it first came out and I think I only watched one episode and lost interest.

I love his response! That's such a silly argument when it comes to this show anyway. Duan Mu is immortal so of course she is physically stronger than Zhan Yan. Besides that even though Zhan Yan is a human he still tries to protect Duan Mu all the time anyway. I think it's normal to want to protect your significant other, regardless of gender.

I skipped watching that one since I read that it ended up all being a dream and I wasn't sure I could dedicate myself to that many episodes for that kind of ending. But thank you for telling me about it so I can add it to the list! And as for SLS, I get it all the time since there are so many cold male lead and sweet second male lead dramas. XD

Just an update that I just saw this show is up on raredoramas.info. It is hardsubbed in English for anyone who wants to watch it. :)

A very funny show with a smart and strong female lead, a male and female lead that complimented each other well, and a great overarching theme of how important family is. This one is going on my list of my favorite historical dramas.

The actions leading to the amnesia happen in episode 25. The amnesia starts in episode 26.

I just personally didn't like how they kept the piglet in the cage with the wire on the bottom. That hurts their feet to walk on. And how the male lead kept flipping over the crab that then had to struggle to right itself.

A very funny show. It would have been a 10 for me if not for the amnesia plot and the mistreatment of animals towards the end.
