Book was written by this way. So she act like immature. But day by day the carecter is developing immature to…
It’s really cringeworthy. I think if she hadn’t done the noises it would have been fine. I chalk it up to being the showrunners’ fault though. They should know that something written like that in a book wouldn’t translate well on screen, regardless of the actor.

I was thinking of watching Untouchable lovers, I was just wondering why you gave it 4 stars? what was bad about…
I dropped it pretty early on. I didn’t like the lead female character and the plot was confusing. It seems like others did like it though.

Title Ferryman: Manjusaka Spoiler
I read that it is free to download the app but there are membership fees. So do we have to pay to watch this?
You’re welcome! Something else about the IQIYI app is that some of the shows/movies on it have auto translated subs and you don’t really know until you start watching something. It sucks but just an FYI if you didn’t already know.

I don’t think this was as bad as others do. Sure the writing for the main couple could have been better. The ‘will they won’t they’ got old fast. But it’s very cute and does have genuinely funny moments. I genuinely enjoyed all of the actors in this, especially the late Cha In Ha and my girl Kim Seul Gi.

Much deserved since it was a great film. I love seeing international films getting recognition in US awards shows since it means more people will be exposed to good foreign cinema.

I looked it up on the IQIYI app and it let me play it for free. There are some shows/movies that are locked unless you are a paying member but this doesn’t appear to be one of them. I think I actually watced this movie on dramacool.movie because I saw it before I downloaded the iQIYI app. So you should be able to watch it at either place. :)

I highly recommend Oasis. It is a hard movie to watch, especially because it makes you think a lot about how disabled people are treated like a shameful nuisance in many families. I recently watched a YouTube video about an intellectually disabled couple who are able to live together in their own apartment in a group home type community. Both they and their families had to fight hard for it but luckily there are organizations now than teach intellectually disabled people about sex, consent, and birth control so they are able to have fulfilling relationships just like anyone else.

I commented in a couple of places already that this show is an existential horror. I hoped it would be more about the characters gaining awareness and figuring out a way into the real world or at least breaking away from the influence of the author. They ended up right back where they started in the end. I would call it bittersweet since the main characters at least remembered each other in the next life. There is a Norwegian film that handles the whole “horror of being trapped in a strange world” better in my opinion, it’s called The Bothersome Man.

Title Extraordinary You Spoiler
I think that I made the same mistake. I was waiting for something more from this drama, like in W (that one wasn't…
Yeah I just really like sci-fi and fantasy and modern Asian tv shows in those genres are always lighter than I want them to be in terms of world building. Historical shows like Arthdal Chronicles are better on that front. I did like W a lot. It leaned in more to the fantasy which made it more interesting to me.

Title Extraordinary You Spoiler
The show ended as it began, an existential horror where either you float from one book to the next unaware of yourself or you continuously wake up to the dread that your existence is bound to a writer who may or may not treat your character well. I would have much preferred a story where they focused on finding a way out of the comics and into a world where they have control over their own lives but as this is mostly a romance I was probably wanting too much out of it.

when i watch american tv: wow that guy is tallwhen i watch kdramas: wow is that guy tall or has the director just…
Directors have tricks they use to make actors appear taller. Tom Cruise is pretty much always wearing stacked shoes, and he stands on a box in close up shots since he’s short in real life. They also shoot at specific angles to make actors appear taller or shorter.

Does Legends of white snake and legends have happy endings? I know you have mentioned in your list, but someone…
I define happy endings as the main couple ending up together so I would say they both have happy endings. But (spoiler warning!) in both Legend of White Snake and The Legends, the main couple is separated for a long time before they are finally able to be together. So I could see why some people would call them both sad.

Title Melting Me Softly Spoiler
so disappointed as the first drama I watched from this writer was Woman of Dignity, that drama was way better…
I felt the same way about Miracle That We Met. The majority of the show wasn’t terrible, but the ending negated everything so the show felt pointless. I’m really going to have to pay more attention to who writes the shows I’m interested in.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks this show has a bad script. I think the screenwriter for this show is just hit and miss since she wrote Strong Woman Do Bong Soon which was cute but she also wrote Miracle That We Met which had a really messy plot.

Please be warned that my comment is about a suicide method.I believe they planned to die by carbon monoxide poisoning.…
Yep. In American media you will see people go into their closed garage, start their car, and then roll down the windows to inhale the exhaust fumes which contain carbon monoxide. Same idea, different method.

I downloaded We TV but cannot find the drama. I searched under the English name, French name, and even Pin Yin…
Oh that does make sense. Thanks again!
