I can tell this is quickly going to be a favorite. I know all too well that feeling of not wanting to say or do the wrong thing since you are worried people won’t like you.
Well, She is his "Fan" after all. Isn't it just like remembering the quotes. More importantly her IQ is super…
Yeah I get what you are saying. I think a lot of it is that their relationship started out with her knowing a lot more about him than he does her so it feels unequal. I do think they are cute together, I just don’t particularly like how their relationship started. It probably doesn’t help that I’m not really a big fan of ‘girls chasing guys’ in the first place XD
Did anyone else find it weird that Tong Nian memorized Shang Yan’s retirement speech? I like that she defended him in front of his grandpa but that was a little much to me. I agree with some others on here there are cringey moments in this show. I think Tong Nian gets away with it because she’s cute.
The download links aren’t working for me. I’m not sure if it’s just me or if the links are expired. I have had issues trying to download shows from there before. Thank you for the quick response though!
If anyone is curious, Warrior is a great show. One of the producers is Bruce’s daughter Shannon. If you enjoy action and/or history you would like it. I’ve learned a lot about the history of San Francisco just from the first season.
It honestly took until episode 8 for me to get invested. The acting is top notch but it was hard to like and sympathize…
Yeah the chip on her shoulder is too big for me. I haven’t watched the last few episodes so I think I’m just going to wait to see how it ends. I do love the male lead, both the actor and the character, so I may finish it just because of him if it ends well.

There is a wide range of characterization between being a doormat and being rude to everyone. I can sympathize with Yeon Seo’s sad lot in life but I wish she was nice to the people who are nice to her.
You’re welcome! Anytime a character references the fact that they are fictional, breaks the fourth wall and talks directly to the audience, or even just an actor playing a fictional version of himself, that’s a meta reference. A lot of comedy shows use meta references. If you want to watch a good show where a character is very aware of their audience I would suggest Fleabag.
Xiao Man hypnotizes Luo Fei and asks him what he thinks of her. He says some rude things and she says that he’s being unfair. He says that he can’t help that the show writers wrote their characters that way. They also make fun of the people who want the show to be more romantic and say it’s a serious detective show. At the end both actors pose for the camera and smile.
I’ve seen a lot of comments calling this show boring but I would disagree with that view. Could the main characters have been more charismatic? Probably, but the character Xiao Qing more than makes up for it. Xiao Yan is shaping up to be a great actress. The main leads are both calm and generally selfless characters who had a sweet love story. I found the romance here to be more believable than a lot of historical Chinese dramas because the main leads have shared interests and a mental attraction to each other. I think my only major complaints are Xiao Qing’s failed romance and the reunion at the end being lackluster.
Bitter kisses how long it will take you to finish Eng Sub. One of my biggest pet peeve is when someone decides…
Their website is shutdown now :( I assume it’s because they were getting harassed about not subbing things. It does say they may bring the website back and sub more in the future but who knows what will happen. It’s a shame since this show was really good.
The main thing I remember from this drama was how God awful the outfits were. It’s like the costume department didn’t even try to make sure the outfits were historically accurate.
