How dare you had me thinking and replaying parts like "what he say?!" " Even tho I read the novel…
They kinda just threw us into the ocean to swim on our own. I used to watch the old HK sagas from the 80s/90s and it was kinda like this. There was a lot going on the first 5 chapters but now that we get some of his background revealed, it’s a settled a bit. Chps 1-5 have a lot of unresolved history from 13 years ago. Previous generation backstabbing each other, not so “righteous” and unresolved mysteries of what really happened. We hear the stories of her aunt but are the accounts really true? Clues suggest otherwise.
Can someone tell me what’s going on in this drama? I’m so confused and it seems boring. But I love the ML
Lol.. what ep you on? There’s a lot going on and ppl are not what they appear to be.
Here’s a quick overview: -FL is from one of the 6 righteous sects (Luoyang valley) and niece of the heroine who defeated lord of the Li sect (demon sect/ baddies according the the righteous sects) -She’s set out to the Qingque Sect for a year of martial arts training per her aunt’s wishes so that she can protect herself. -on the way they encounter ML badly injured and his “father”, Chang who is also known is a righteous hero. Their whole manor was attacked by assassins. We don’t know who they are but ML is dead set on revenge. He’s sent to Qingque Sect for recuperation and FL went w/ her family to the manor to check conditions. - when she arrives at Qingque Sect, she finds him weak and always bullied and tries to help him. However she also notices discrepancies about him from the real Chang son and suspects he’s not who he really is. She also notices how he manipulates situations and gets her to help him (like finding the martial arts book, like uncovering the bad guy who left his bro for dead 13 years ago). They work with each other but she doesn’t fully trust him. She does recognize that ppl she respect do trust him so she chooses w/ collaborate w/ him. He’s fallen for her though. - the latest situation is where they suspect the Qingque Sect leader is not real but instead of revealing him out to the public, she throws him under the bus and reveals that he’s an imposter which forces him to leave the sect (ep 5). - ep 6 he reveals his true identity to her which she identifies as an enemy of her sect. Hence her attacking him. But they talk it through and he shares more about him which surprises her b.c they are different from what she’s taught. Ep 7 they’re trying to get the rare item so that it can heal disciple who’s engaged to Ling Bo (the aannoying bully). At least I think that’s who it’s for.
1. I love this drama. 2. I love the OST. Amazing.3. I've given up trying to follow the storyline.4. I've given…
Sometimes that’s the best. I’ve actually rewatched the eps and it;s helped me w/ the who’s who and I get to enjoy ZRY’s snarky remarks and antics that I missed the first time around. He’s so jelly.
Going through the cast list, noticed that Nie Zhe is played by Peter Zheng. Really liked him in Go, Princess Go! That was a riot. 🤣🤣🤣. Can’t wait to see his character.
lol ty, it took me a couple of episodes to stop seeing them as pillowcases
I was thinking of the queen of hearts soldiers in the Disney animation Alice in Wonderland. But yea, they wore that during that time, with the leather buckle over the shoulders. Even the ties around the calves on their pants and the very loose fit is historically based.
So I did a little Google “research” into the costuming and hairstyles of the Wei / Jin dynasties and am impressed that the costuming department used historical styles to that era. The boxy rectangular garment style was a thing.
I’ve promoted Yi Ran so much that sometimes I feel like I’m his manager — he already owes me money 😄
🤣🤣🤣🤣 but once you watch one of his dramas, you become an instant fan. His acting is exceptional, especially given is age. And it seems like he gives his characters his all. It’ll be interesting to see him in more diverse roles in the future. I mean I’ve only watched two of his prior dramas and they were both different but so good. I don’t don’t want him to be typecasted.
