I thought both child actors did a great job portraying the younger versions. I think the girl looked a little…
Very true. She had to scheme and plot for her own survival as a child.

Anyone rewatching it and find the youthful SM super adorable when he appears at his uncle’s military base. Very playful and charismatic? Ep 2

Does it have any Love triangle or any SML
This is a wonderful story - not about romance but romance is developing if that makes sense.

yes, I watched almost all of his short dramas work..and the cinematography is really good for low budget drama..and…
That’s right. I watched that too. I think that the ‘bad’ brother ended up in a journey to you.

Just looked at the director’s other works and discovered a few shorts that I enjoyed. - Butterflied Lover, Provoke, The Killer Is also a Romantic.

No wonder I found this drama engaging. I am just struggling with the one dimensional villains.

The scene I’m talking about is near the end of episode 13, when injured Dou Zhao emotionally ran to Song Mo…
I am with you. That scene seemed totally off. 1) running with the injury? 2) embracing I. Broad daylight in a crowded bustling city center?

Makes no sense.., I’m enjoying this drama but
There’s quite a few “makes no sense” situations.

what did you like about Xu?
I’m so sorry you didn’t enjoy it. I see that you’ve moved onto Blossom. Hope you’re enjoying that.
On Later, I Laughed Dec 8, 2024
Finally finished the last ep (24) of Later, I Laughed. At peace and satisfied with the closure to the whole drama. This will probably be on my rewatch list (LBFAD) and fond memories list (AJTL, WOH). Most characters were not one dimensional, good story telling, actions made sense,
We feel for everyone’s character. I was not a fan of her mom for the stress she put her daughter through. However, at the end I felt that she was human and understood her whys. She also represents the societal mainstream views and also the final challenge for our fl to overcome. Beyond that were all the more thoughtful reflections on life, on relationships with one another, on seeking meaning in life, and on character.

Well written multidimensional characters, relatable realistic but interesting non formulaic plot and situations. And comedy with drama.

I also enjoy this more than Shen Yue's. The jokes are giving.
Still love ATL but I watched it as it aired. Put Alan Fang on the map for me and of course love LYN more.

Title Later, I Laughed Spoiler
Just finished 23. Spoiler below
Ít is so nice to see her father coming around an wanting to support her career choices . Such a difference from her mom. Where she wants to “fix’ her daughter to do what she thinks is the “best and right” thing to the point of embarrassing XY in from of her awful manager Hu (yuck), he is willing to learn about what’s important to her and to help her however she needs and apologized for what he did to her in middle school.

what did you like about Xu?
I liked that he was supportive of her choice, at least he said so. Plus the data driven decisions he makes, good looks and willingness to spend $ on her don’t hurt. He truly seemed fond of her. But then….

Title Later, I Laughed Spoiler
dropped at 19.I struggled to get to 19the FLs character development is very lacking. she didn't really improve…
Oh no! Well, eps 20-23 are mostly about the mom’s viewpoint ( and probably the viewpoint of most of society). Her anxiety and prejudice against stand up comedy (vs a stable office Job) is putting strain and doubts on XY’s choice for comedy. However, towards the end of ep 23, we see a light… I mean mom’s still the same (which I appreciate because ppl don’t real change overnight) but her dad took the initiative to have a heart to heart with her and encouraged her t go for it! Now you can just watch ep 24 and find closure. 😊

😆 I couldn’t take it anymore and had to drop it when they broke up or moved out. This drama I’m still looking forward to watching each ep. However, I realize that I don’t look forward to them as much if I read the spoilers here. So lesson learned for me. One ep left!
