Who enjoys the visuals here? The fireworks look like what they may have looked like back then (no the silly colorful modern ones that seems out of place). The beautiful colorful ripples on the water when they were on the boat looked smooth like satin. The brilliant & colorful yet, strong flags waved resolutely while the horses and soldiers marched. The sun rays glowing a cast warmth as they embraced…. To may details to capture here but such a feast for the senses.

Gosh - this is the director’s full length debut. I’m wondering how he’s going to top this in the future.

In the past life - SM supported the wrong prince - prince Qing was the one who was plotting to overthrow the empower.

The bandit scene - they wanted DZ killed by the bandits as well as SM charged for treason for abandoning his post to go to defend DZ. It he plan didnt unfold the way they had planned.

I suspect the plotters include prince Qing, the eunuch, 5th uncle and Duke Ying. Although, I don’t think Duke Yong cares about overthrowing that emperor or as much as to get his song SH the Duke title. But we will see how it unfolds.

Yup! I trust this team and will stay to the end. I have a feeling this drama is going to be lingering in my heart for a while after it ends. Probably will rewatch it on different platforms to get the different translations.

Lol - I think most viewers share your sentiment. I felt sad that his upbringing brought him to the tragedy of his marriage . His and Dou Ming’s love was pure. That’s the one shining light in his whole character.

Yes - there’s the crown prince (which he captured in ep 1 and who committed suicide after mentioning that SM backed the wrong person). There’s prince Qing (whom SM backed but backed stabbed him but SM also killed with his elite soldiers in ep 1).

In ep 25 at the temple we learn that SM’s mom gave birth to his sister prematurely at the temple. The mistress who had SH with the dad brought the one month SH to the temple that day as well. That’s when the babies were switched. We don’t know what’s happened to the sister. So far father and servant claim she died. SM currently assumes she’s dead.

He - JY’s motives seem sus. It’s been hinted here and there that he is interested in overthrowing the current emperor so he may be a player in this plotting.

Yes - many little details that actually hints at the plot line. Visuals are stunning - even the ripples on the waters are gorgeous. And feels more realistic than most dramas. I appreciate that the fireworks actually looks more like what fireworks should look like back then vs the silly colorful extravagant modern ones which would have looked completely out of place

Kill Me Love Me’s ending felt like it was milking our tears - so forced and completely unnecessary. Lame and a shame because I Loved the ML actor.

This drama is so good that it evokes such strong reactions from us. Even the closure of this arc was very moving for me - sadness, justice, pity, so many emotions. His biggest problem was that he was raised to be a pretty useless person.

Deep seated hatred.

Lol… I don't think so. She’s done. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I kinda pity her. As DZ said, her hatred did her in and allowed her to be used as a pawn. She now lives her life trying to repent all her wicked deeds. My question is what happened to WTY’s sister. She was crazy wicked too.

Wow! Eps 24-25 left me in tears not just for our protagonists. I was in tears for Wei Ting Yu and Dou Ming and heck even felt sympathy for WYX! But of course, I also giggled and swooned over the romantic and comedic scenes. The storytelling is masterfully done. Keeps getting better and better.
