Shen Yue just did a Comedy Club drama. One is enough for me. smh
It’s very different. Shen Yue’s is more of a formulaic romantic idol drama with not so great comedy. This one is a realistic personal growth drama NOT centered / forced around the romance. It also kinda tracks the growth of standup comedy in China and the struggles the industry face. It’s not typical tropes.
I got to around episode 19, then I read about the open ending and since I was already turned off by the dreaded…
Just finished 21. I see all this as the realities of choosing the more challenging career path. She not quite there yet as she’s still fearful of displeasing her mom.
Episode 21 really frustrated me. It reminded me of Na Hee Do's mother in the kdrama 2521. Without considering…
I just finished ep 21. It was quit painful to watch an anxious, desperate mom trying to do everything in her power to control what she thinks is best for her daughter’s future. I see her as a powerless woman in a loveless marriage. I still remember the scene at the beginning where she did nothing as her husband verbally and physically abuses XY.
Sadly, I’ve experienced this scene play out in real life more than once both as a bystander and participant. I totally understand XY’s inability to stand up and be honest with her overbearing mom but as we can see, the truth will eventually come out one way or another.
too much filler for me. I'm all the way to 19 and tired. so much time wasted on the talent show or whatever that…
SY is not they typically c drama ml character. That’s what refreshing about this drama. Nothing is really predictable. But they do have some good heart to heart convos.
I’m on episode six and I’m not sure what to think of the male lead so far. I haven’t formed much of an impression…
I am waiting for ep 19
As an actor - I think he’s a fabulous actor (Wei Da Xun). As a character - he’s a chill guy who’s smitten by our fl. He also respects her and admires her a lot.
Will you still be sensible after he expects you to quit your job, be a mom and look after him and his kid's needs…
In an ideal partnership, there should be enough trust and respect from both partners to work for the best of the family. And to appreciate the other for it.
Investor boyfriend is giving off control signs. A remote island? Isolation. He knows how to play the long game.…
Really… I thought he’s great. Very patient, respectful, supportive of whichever decision she makes but maybe you’re right. I didn’t think he was controlling.
Ep 16 - ahhhh…..can I switch places with her? I’d be so happy with a sensible respectful handsome billionaire. He doesn’t even have to buy me an island. 😁

It was a nice touch to see her thoughtfulness when she realized how hurtful her joke was to the chubby dancer and modified it.
The writers again.
