Such a touching and heartfelt drama so far. I love how it takes the time and care to portray the various relationships and struggles. We can see the beautiful decades long bestie friendship between grandma and ms Li and how they grapple with the imminent reality that all of us will one day face. We see the push and pull between mom and kids who clearly love each other but struggle with their roles and expectations of each other. And of course, we see romantic love blossoming or bursting - with all the emotions that comes along when two individuals, each with their own set of baggage, learn how to work it out. So beautiful.

I have to admit WML who plays Wei Dai Qing is such a good actor. I was so sad when his character died in Warmth on a Cold Night and here he’s such an unscrupulous, envious, ruthless, ambitious sycophant.

Convo between ml and his brother on the way to the train station reveal that it’s because WDQ has someone more powerful backing him. Otherwise he would not dare take the steps he did given his lower position.

This is why I’m thinking of dropping this. Can’t do tragedy. Too sad.

Very enjoyable drama. Everything seem to have been addressed except the maid and the security guard’s relationship. Although they are there mainly for comic relief. I agree that cast was wonderful. Everyone acted very well.

So sad. They truly loved each other.

Rewatched the 2nd half of ep 5. This drama captures feelings very well. Athenmusic is beautiful and soothing. The main leads are not only beautiful but excellent actors. I’m just worried it’ll be an angst type drama like Angels Fall Sometime or something like that. I can’t handle angst dramas.

Part of this story is the development or resolution between mom and children. So it won’t get better until after 30 or so. And even then… haha…

Maybe we will see more of his development now that his dad appears
