Well, he’s been around for AGES and is quite bored, lonely, and and lost the enthusiasm to carry on. All of his friends are gone. Everyone else has placed him in an ivory tower. So it’s reflected in his character.

I just finished ep 35 and it’s been humming along for me. No crazy ride. There are some fancy cgi fight scenes so if you’re into that, you’ll enjoy it. I tend to watch things to the end regardless unless it REaLLY REALLY bad/boring.
I didn't watched a lot of Cdramas yet, but I'm trying to get into it so I started to watched Love Between Fairy…
Did you like Nirvana in fire? It's excellent and very poetic. I heard the 2nd one is good too.

Joy of Life is Fantastic. There's A LOT of references to Chinese literature, homonyms, play on worlds, idioms, etc. Those who don't know the language would enjoy it more by doing a little research first ( I watched a number for videos by Avenue X) and watched it on a platform with good translation (Viki is good. Youtube not as good). The long awaited season 2 is expected to release this summer.
A Journey to Love is another good one. ending could have used a few more episodes.
