Zhang ruoyun's acting is sooo good. Hope he gets support for his new drama as well
The Hope was sooo good! He is such an excellent actor, In JOl his posture is very upright like a young man. In TH, he is an older man and carries himself very much like one who is weighed down by his hardships and age.
Just finished watching it on YouTube. Was hesitating because of length and spoiler. however, it was awesome and addicting! Wow!!
Ending was exciting and I cannot wait for next season. Yes -hilarious 🤣🤣 lots of word play, witty, serious, fun, engaging, exciting. Awesome sci-fi action drama. Had to pay attention though. I watched a bunch of Avenue X videos on the drama to get a better appreciation of all the word play and humor since I am not a native speaker.
I rewatched a few eps on another platform and found that YouTube missed a lot of the translations. Also, catching A LOT of details I missed (especially about Uncle Wu - blind guy) so I will rewatch again. It’s that good.
Aahh, I was wondering about going on asking about it, thank God there are still people active here. Any reviews…

This is the first time I don't know what to rate a drama after watching. The ending confused the hella out of…
Yeah… sadly I think censorship and 40 ep. Cap caused the craziness of the latter part. AvenueX on YTbe (sorry if I offend anyone ) made some very good points in her final review about this. She was able to verbalize what a lot of us felt. I still gave it good rating because the positives out weighed the negatives.
Same I totally understand her, nothing wrong with her putting her UN job first and thinking about what she can…
You may be right. This film looks like it was made in 2017 (from the glimpses on the phones). Nowadays, we get gems like The Hope, AJTL, RWTW, and other well executed dramas. I’m still enjoying it though. Like the relationships with coworkers. At least we don’t have the jealous, toxic coworker/childhood friend character.
The tie-in of small details, from ep 1 to this episode, was really satisfying to see! Yuyi's business trajectory,…
Def nice when an idol drama has more substance to it! I really enjoyed rising with the wind because the business side was actually quite interesting too.

Agreed. Kinda funny how ppl are taking sides and judging the chars For their actions. Chars don’t know all the details the audience knows . His attitude towards her after 8 years makes sense based on what she did to him. Her desire not to tell him the truth of the past is a bit difficult for me to comprehend b/c I don’t see the relevance of that with her wanting to work for the UN.
I love how WS exclaims “ you still love him!”. Everyone else can see clearly except the one who refuses to listen to wisdom. I remember when my friend said - love doesn’t have to be so difficult. So true so true.
Alright, I’m heading over to The Hope now….it’s SOO GOOD. But no kisses - not a romance but it’s very engaging and a bit heartbreaking. Enjoy Derailment!
This was a nice ride. I especially enjoyed watching it without spoilers since part of the enjoyment was having the mystery slowly uncover and the main lead characters slowly develop.
Sweet but not a romance.
Some irritating lines about forgiving someone just because they’re blood even though their actions were criminal. I’m kinda glad the story addressed it a little bit instead of just letting slide.
Kinda glad that I’m forced to wait to watch the episodes. It’s given me time to enjoy the development of the story and process. Can’t wait till tomorrow for ep 29 and purposely not watching the previews. Thanks to everyone who’s using the spoiler checkbox.
We have the benefit of seeing everything while each character doesn’t. She’s also super desperate /longing…
Yes, she definitely is not an easy person to get along with. These two def have trust issues. Have you watched the scene where she rakes the train home with CFS? Helped her process her perception a bit. We also learn a bit more about their past. This helped me understand more about their behaviors.
And the show of the exaggerated dramatic people continues here in the comments. The whining never ends. The thing…
Good story writers knows how to develop characters, even if not perfect, can be related To or empathized by the audience. Th characters don’t need to be geniuses, perfect, etc.
The problem here is that they poorly portrayed the FL, which falls in the writers’ and/or director’s hands. I remember struggling to find Bugs Bunny funny because he was a bully. So even though this drama is meant to be funny (and even has the funny music), it’s doing it at the expense of some else’s harm, which the audience can relate to.
I personally like the male lead actor but it is getting more difficult to continue, which is fine.
