Hints of it later in season. The convo btwn emperor/ FX dad/CPP about how they strategized FX to get the secret from XE. They started taking about what’s more important, the kingdom / FX / the temple where FX’s mom is from / the emporer. You can sense CPP’s nervousness/fear around the emperor and being ever so careful about his response.

True true. These characters are getting developed and are not one dimensional. That crown prince! First season, you thought he’s all ceremonial and proper. Now, we see another side of him. I’m actually more fearful of him than the 2nd prince.

Yup! I quite enjoyed the princes’ reactions and interactions with FX in JOL1. They were funny then too.

I think jol2 is having some fun with the 5 year wait but it’s getting serious for sure. Season 1 starts with him just wanting to have an easy life with lots of $$$ but it steadily got serious. You can see that it’s getting serious here too as his heart is hurting with the injustices around him.

As for the princes, they may appear more light hearted but no. They are both still very ruthless. Even the crown prince was very ruthless to his guards. Both wolves.
