I dunno, his action in ep 20 w/ the sushi seems a bit fishy to me (pun intended). Seems like he’s scheming to put another wedge between ml and his mom.

I hope you don’t feel attacked for expressing your views. I get your point. And if this situation were observed out of context, it definitely can be misconstrued as harassment. To portray it well is the craft of the director and entire production team. We had the build up of them falling for each other, then him sending her mixed signals just as she pointed out in the game. And had she not thrown her arms up to give up on the whole possibility of a relationship w/ him, he wouldn’t have responded so strongly. As another viewer mentioned, it’s his true response to her “ what the hell is up with you? Do you like me or not? I’m not a mind reader”. He communicated through his actions first. They didn’t get around to the conversation until later. Yes, it’s a bit dramatic but this is dramaland and I have a feeling many viewers were going, “YES! FINALLY!”

Bts clips had another take that didn’t make the cut which is a good thing. It just didn’t portray the mood right

Wow, todays two eps (18-19) were such a treat. So many memorable scenes and lines and yes, todays eps were the best thus far.

GHC’s comments in the car ride home was hilarious - telling them to reconcile and stop ignoring each other. Turning to XZY and telling him to use his mouth to make up. Hahaha…. Yes, he did. And the happiness and sweetness of our cp just glowed and spread through the screen and touched my heart. Great job production team!

The killing spree hx went on was hilarious …. Loved her lines about changing shoes if they don’t fit. You go girl.

And the editing the director chose for the kissing scene in the vr game was perfect! I’m glad they chose to cut out the part where she initially resisted … that would’ve given it a negative vibe.

Both brothers grew up in pretty bleak situations. However, where ml had a loving family until his father’s disaster, Pei grew up in a toxic, harsh environment. So even a kind gesture would lead him to react so strongly. He just threw the (probably) expensive watch out of the box so casually and gingerly placed this bandage inside, cherishing and treasuring what he lacks in his world. Simple act of kindness w/o any ulterior motives.

Yup, plus, even after the rejection, she’s given him opportunities multiple times to explain himself…. Even in today’s ep (17). She’s very cordial and respectful (not spiteful at all). It’s all between the lines. But he did not. Come’ on folks, they're adults in modern day China, not patriarchal olden day China or Victorian era society. She’s not responsible for ‘reading’ how he feels and catering to his emotional needs.

This dramas features so many conversations about love between lines.

I’m processing your comment and reflecting on their relationship development. Not sure this drama is doing that. I’d say they both emotionally supported each other which is what attracted them to the other. She warmed him with her genuine kindness and sincerity. He strengthened her to bravely face challenges in her life and press forward towards her dream.

As for serving him, the whole time she did all that was out of obligation for causing injury to him arm not really because she liked him. It doesn’t seem like he was attracted to her for that reason. The drama portrays him drawing more towards her warm personality and feeling like family with her.

That’s great. Love seeing how much fun they’re having
