Wait till you get to through ep 10. These are the sweetest eps for me so far. Loving it

It’s about a girl who settled in life but decides to follow her dreams to become an architect. Along the way, she meets the ml by chance in a vr game and their encounter leads them to develop respect and friendship…at least for now… for each other. There’s also more plots hinted at. Growth building. Love. Sweetness. Wonderful cast and production team. Very rewarding watch.

Ep 10 - awe the carwash scene was so cute. Hilarious seeing him play the sick card.

The beginning of ep 9 was great with the conversation between them in the vr game

😢 I am at the halfway point and your thoughts resonate with mine as well. Not sure whether I can continue with other] dramas coming out. Good actors can only do so much when the story writing / directing no up to par.

Yes - wang duo (bz) is very good at playing morally great characters, suffering villains, etc.

Thanks for your response. It makes sense now. When I got to the point where Pian pian sacrifices to save him, I was thinking that there were too many actions that just doesn’t seem to have well developed causes / motivations. They just happened b/c b/c. The excellent cast, and visuals kept me going but this poor writing is making it more and more difficult to continue.. bloody romance was better executed than this.

Sigh… such a shame quality talent is wasted.

Alright.. I’m on ep 22 and there’s something I cannot quite understand and am seeking your insight. What is up with BZ’s obsession w/ destroying demons? I get that his sister was killed by a demon but he’s since encountered good and bad humans and demons. Why is he still so fixated? Why so loyal to the dumb and cruel emperor? Why so forgiving to the horrible soldier who tried to murder him? I don’t get it!

Lol… I was thinking man, this poor guy is probably all smelly from having that one red armor for a LONG time. Don’t get me wrong, the costume is gorgeous and detailed, I just couldn’t help think about it not getting washed

Yup. Join the club! She’s been in supportive roles in the past but last year, she’s started getting lead roles. CXX is totally underrated as others point out. He is a fine full package.

Hehe…. Yeah…it’s pretend world. How many times have we watched Cdrama chars play the guqin wrong? Like 99%? Haha

She’s working in a man’s world. If the tables were turned and it were a man, would we be so upset? If this was the real world, and not dramaland, would it be so strange?

When I worked as an engineer, I wouldn’t think twice about doing something like she did. I mean, she didn’t read the forecast so why would she think it would rain. she tried to find her way back and only accepted the ride as a last resort otherwise, she’d be standing in the rain for an hour. If anything, it would seem unprofessional to call her boss while he’s in a meeting for a ride or to notify him that she was getting a ride from the other co. (that would be weird). He’s not her babysitter, boyfriend, husband. The only think I probably would do differently is to leave a message w/ my colleague that I was catching a ride back… oh wait, she did that.

CXX is a hidden gem finally getting to shine.
