I agree with everything you said, the story was good enough to be a decent drama and I had just average expectations after encounter. But the script and exaggerated unnecessary drama ruined the vibes. If you don't mind be asking, what did you 'love' about this? I mean I definitely did like the starting episodes upto 4-5, but the rest ruined it for me and I put it on indefinite watching hiatus.

If you really wanna eat watch the FL or ML, you can watch the starting 5-6 episodes, then read the episode summaries, and then watch the last episode on 2x. The 2nd half is the negative of not worth it.

This isn't worth for even wasting time, you are better off watching ten random movies. The cast is great, the story started out great, I made it through ep 6, I think. Then every episode is literally the same thing on loop. It is a broken record playing. FL dating his ex's brother unknowingly, both realise the truth, keep on dating anyway, super nosy/judgemental family (I think they took a page out of Hye-Kyo's previous drama encounter). Then this basically on repeat. The only thing I liked is the French quotes that are shown in the Opening of each episode lol.

They are trying to keep the relationship subtle while dealing with ML's skeletons in his closet and also adding comedy scenes in between like something that's gonna happen when FL's subordinate who lives in floor 1302, finds out about them 'accidentally'. The frequent theme changes takes my mind totally off the romance and the serious issues seem like extra unnecessary plot and only makes me focus on the comedy. They are not doing a good job mixing the genres and the timings are wrong.

Ep 6: Misunderstandings, misunderstandings. I really don't like it when they drag the issue when it can be solved with just one sentence. What this fuck's with "It's a long story" that's what you tell a friend not your partner. She could have said, something happened to her senior and she'll tell him later as it's not her secret to tell, if she didn't want to gossip. As for ML, he should have definitely explained like, something happened with his family and he'll tell her later when he's more comfortable. And when FL tells that she is not able to trust him, of course then he bursts out the truth. People should not be cornered to tell the truth in a relationship, more so when it's really nothing. Literally, just tell your partner, "I had a long day, can I please tell you later?" and that's that. It's when you start hiding things, especially unnecessary things, the trust issues start. One of the best examples is the 2nd lead couple in Fight for my way. I got bored midway and paused watching this episode, will finish it later tonight.

Sadly, I agree. I defended this drama for the first 4 episodes from people who said it wasn't good. But now, even I'm confused. Like it's not bad, but I don't see where this is going and what they intend to do with it. I kinda like the clumsy personality of Ha Kyung but they're really ruining her image as a professional career woman. She's shown indecisive and is always contradicted by her team. Like she needs to explain all her decisions and why they're right. On top it tonight's ending scene, which will cause some totally unnecessary trust issues between them.

You forgot the part where the guy would be seen as a jerk in either case where if he chooses to not marry the girl and leave her while she's pregnant and also he can't even ask for an abortion.

I do not really want this to be the case, even if they aren't blood related, it shows adoption in a bad light as if you can't have an opposite gender adopted sibling who treat each other as actual siblings.

I still don't understand how do they drink so much like 5-6 to 10 bottles?! And that too regularly, (yes weekly is still regularly, but it's shown more frequent). Also soju is supposed to be hard liquor, so is it just in the dramas or are Korea's liver genes the greatest?

No I did too, that was ridiculously funny to me. I have seen guys cry many times and both the 'manly' cry with tears strolling down and a rockhard face and also the crying with full on bawling with their noses almost dripping. Both felt real enough, but this was just funny, I guess I either am not used to this or it was too a serious cry for my brain to process. Apparently, some people liked this so idk.

She has stolen by heart as well. Love her voice and acting. I really hope though it doesn't lead to the chef to cheating on his current gf or him leading to breaking up with his gf because he has fallen for Joo Hee.

I get why people are calling this slow, it's actually not because of the story speed but the speed of their speech is slow and that's causing this to feel slow. However I kinda like this, it's definitely not bingeable, but 2 eps per week is a decent speed to watch the show. All e FLs have their own charm, but Joo hee is adorable, her reactions are really sweet and cute. She reminds me of Phoebe from Friends. They dropped a small fortune for their friends, it was really touching. On another note, I hope the ending of ep 4 does not pave way for a stupid misunderstanding I'd be really disappointed as this is supposed to be a mature drama.

So it seems like BYJ and NHD aren't together (yet, hopefully) in the future. Someone in comment section said he could have passed away due to the R&J reference, but I really don't want to think that. All this time, I thought he was probably in a space station. But it seems like the daughter doesn't even know BYJ so I'm more confused if he is her dad, I'd like to think so. On top of that NHD mom says he met him, that makes it more confusing. Did they actually stay as friends who love each other but didn't get together due to some circumstances? That's gonna be heartbreaking.

Kim tae ri is killing her role with NHD. I haven't seen an actress in her 30s portraying a teen so well, I have to give myself constant reminders that she isn't a child still. I had to actually confirm her age by going to her profile.

I'm two episodes in, and just to prepare myself how many people cheat? Give me a number out of 6, the 3 couples. The guy doctor doesn't count as he is single.

I also don't like ML trying to be price charming. He's shown to be way perfect. Like in her ex's memories, he said she shouldn't touch anything dirty like trash? That line made me almost hurl.

I mean she didn't shower after sleeping while he did, so it was just bedhead hair. It is pretty normal. If he was godly, it would be her body filled with cramps and not a messy head.

I finished nevertheless, but it took me more than 2 months, I kept taking breaks as every 5-6 episodes left me drained. I actually disliked the FL more in nevertheless, like the ML stayed a broken jerk till the end but FL was making all the wrong decisions for herself willingly till the end. Believe it or not the side-character's romances were really good. As for true beauty, I didn't finish it (13-14 eps completed) but those who like it are mostly Cha Eun woo fangirls or Han Seok Jun stans. I'm the latter, he was a amazing guy and friend in the story.

The mom really made a impression, I get angry even when i see her in other dramas remembering her role. I hated her so much, I still didn't understand why she hated ML that much. Yes he being like family is weird, but the way she showed her true feelings made us think maybe she didn't ever love him at all in his childhood maybe it was just charity and pity.

I think it might be something to do with shi-woo's past, family or something as his character is still a mystery other than the fact he being a genius.
